Getting Interesting

There may be quite a few cliches in this show but it is very well written and Alan Tudyk might be one of the best actors I have ever seen.

Second episode or resident alien and I'm still impressed. The actors have good chemistry, Alan Tudyk is awesome, and there are some truly laugh out loud moments. The cow udders?! Now that's just funny.

Don't recommend eating while watching this episode
jimamezaga6 February 2021
I laugh so hard at this episode I forgot I was eating pasta (which in retrospective was a bad idea for a comedy show). So now the couch has some stainds to remember. This episode was just what I needed after a stressfull week. I highly recomend this If you're trying to disconect, I had a great time laughing. Also is good for the stomach musceles.

I thought the pilot last week was funny. This week was even funnier. I'm starting to get to know Harry a bit better and he's so different. Alan Tudyk has done it again. *chef's kiss*

Near perfect

After the surprisingly awesome pilot, this episode ramps up the laughs, and slightly improves the rest.

But it's still struggling with the hour time stamp. Half hour could have maybe been better for the show.

Actor Alan T is a perfect alien!! He actually might be an alien in real life! He's fabulous!! And the writers are so creative! It's humor and rude at the same time! A real creative work of endless entertainment! Thank you!!

Homesick
Prismark105 February 2021
There is an interesting hybrid of British humour with Resident Alien.

Harry tries to blend in with his surroundings and finds out that he is dealing with human emotions. He also needs to deal with the patients now he has started his new job as the town doctor.

This includes trying to figure out how to kill that small kid who can see that Harry is an alien. Harry decides to make the kid's death look like an accident.

Harry fantasies of the different types of accidents he can arrange for the kid.

The offbeat stuff is fun yet gross. Like drinking cow's milk in draught form.

It does try to cram in too much and sometimes you can sense where the humour has been borrowed from. The sheriff at the bowling alley was something out of The Big Lebowski.

Sorry. Not for me
xmasdaybaby196610 April 2023
I have recently bingewatched both series of Timeless and the first series of the new Quantum Leap which both grew on my in time but I can already feel that I will struggle with this.

I am in the UK so our scifi shows are rather limited due to budget costs.

I know long-running Doctor Who and, back in the day, Blakes 7 and Doomwatch had international appeal but, despite this being filmed in Canada, it is all too American for me.

The "look at me, aren't I funny?" feel to it just doesn't cut the mustard for me.

I guess I am just used to watching British shows where the characters are understated.

Homesick.

Warning: Spoilers
Much better, with moments of hilarity. Bartender girl is good also. I don't understand having this second Asta character though. All serious with drama, when the show's entirely silly for a laugh.

Where's the comedy
paulwattriley8 February 2021
Still looking for the comedy, 2 episodes in and struggling to find the humour its just creepy. I feel this ratings more likely for Alan Tudyk than for the actual quality of the show. Personally there is no logic one minute he talking like a health official then all of a sudden dumb. Then the forced attempt at humour. The laugh like WTF. It an adult show with kids humour like an adult version of Ernest

Don't recommend eating while watching this episode are you5?

Alan Tudyk might be one of the best actors I have ever seen easy there cowboy now he is ok though if he was indeed what you claim he would most definitely would not be working for the SyFy channel.

Unbelievably Poor!
MegaMaexn9 February 2021
When he walked into the treatment room to burn off a wart (which he looked up on the internet first) only to look up a woman's vagina before realising it was not a 12-year old boy I gave up and switched it off... pathetic!
