Katherine Heigl is really tackling her post-"Grey's Anatomy" movie career with a vengeance.
"The Killers" star will star in the romantic drama "The Age of Adaline," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The story, written by Mills Goodloe and Sal Pascowitz, revolves around a young woman presumably named Adaline (Heigl) who was born at the turn of the 20th century and suddenly becomes immortal following an accident. Never dying gets a little old after living alone over the decades, and she considers giving up her agelessness when she meets a man who might be worth it.
The epic love story will allow Heigl to not only exercise her dramatic acting chops once again, but also climb into various period clothes.
Production is scheduled to begin in October.
Heigl has also been tapped to play Stephanie Plum in the film adaptation of Janet Evanovich's "One for the Money." She can next...

It's been a few years, so it must be time for the return of the Furyan.
Vin Diesel has signed on to star and produce a third Riddick film, teaming back up with writer/director David Twohy, reports Variety.
The character of Richard B. Riddick was first seen in 2000's sci-fi flick "Pitch Black" and then "The Chronicles of Riddick" four years later.
The story for the third film will supposedly focus more on Riddick himself, which should be interesting considering the final scene in "Chronicles" set him up for a big life change.
In other casting news:
- Kevin Costner will direct and star in "A Little War of Our Own" for Beacon Pictures. The story revolves around a sheriff (Costner) who keep the peace in a volatile town during World War II.
- Kate Mara, who plays assistant Brittany on HBO's "Entourage," is in talks to play a...
