Poorna Jagannathan plays crime boss Lucky Auntie in the Hulu comedy series Deli Boys — a mix of Tony Soprano and The Real Housewives of Orange County, as Jagannathan describes her — a role that typically is written for a male to portray.

At Deadline’s Contenders TV event on Sunday afternoon, she revealed that series creator Abdullah Saeed had written her character as a male but was encouraged to go in a different direction thanks to some encouragement from Geena Davis.

“Lucky Auntie was written as a guy, as was another character called Agent Mercer,” shared Jagannathan. “Abdullah, the writer, went to a Geena Davis talk, and she basically was like, ‘Look at your script — if you could turn two men into women and it works, do it.’ So that night, he went back, and it became Lucky Auntie instead of Lucky Uncle, and Agent Mercer became a woman as well.

On her podcast with Teddi Mellencamp called Two Ts in a Pod, Judge shared who she thinks a show needs to bring back. Not her own show but instead The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which Mellencamp was previously on. In a new episode, Judge shared her opinion on the show.

The producer and actress spent five seasons on Bravo’s reality series and announced her exit in a social media post ahead of the Season 14 finale.

Beauvais’ Instagram post received an outpouring of messages from her Rhobh co-stars and the Bravo world at large.

Sutton Stracke, Beauvais’ closest friend on the show said, “Congratulations to your next chapter. Can’t wait to see what’s up your sleeve. Nothing but greatness. This I know.”

Andy Cohen, an executive producer on Rhobh, said, “An incredible run from an incredible human. Bravo.”

The Bravo reality show shares a “glimpse into the affluent and luxurious lives of women who reside in one of the wealthiest enclaves of America as they navigate their lives.”

If you didn’t know, or you forgot, Rhoc is the original Real Housewives series that started the whole franchise back in 2006, and it has seen many different cast combinations throughout the past 19 years.

Tamra Judge, a somewhat polarizing personality from The Real Housewives of Orange County, (Rhoc) announced on social media that she’s left the Bravo show. She has done that in the past, but the question is, will she be missed? Read on to find out what fans think.

Quitting In New Orleans

Season 19 of the Bravo show was filming in New Orleans and Judge got all worked up and angry. “It was a long run! When life gives you real problems this reality s–t doesn’t make sense. Peace out ✌️ Im out,” she said on Instagram Stories this Sunday night. Naturally, Rhoc fan accounts got hold of the news, which sparked much discussion.

Whatever set her off, clearly made her fume becasue the Rhoc star confirmed it when Taste of Reality shared a screenshot. “Yes” she wrote in answer to a question about her so-called permanent departure.

Since joining The Real Housewives of Orange County in 2007, Tamra Judge has been one of Bravo’s most polarizing faces.

She’s brought so much to the show, but people seem to think she’s the most toxic reality TV star.

Sure, Tamra has brought a lot of off-screen drama to help the show maintain its status as one of the most popular entries in the venerable Real Housewives franchise.

There’s so much great TV out there, and most isn’t derived from legacy franchises.

Prime Video didn’t seem to get the memo because it continues to bring these excellent properties back to screens without the thrill of their predecessor.

The latest effort, Cruel Intentions, based on the hit movie of the same name, premiered in November 2024 and was pretty much ignored.

The 2024 version of Cruel Intentions was a below-average teen drama at best, playing out more like Max’s canceled Gossip Girl reboot, which had some redeeming qualities at the very least.

The 1999 Cruel Intentions had a compelling plot and a cast that included Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillipe, Reese Witherspoon, and Selma Blair.

Tamra Judge is hinting her time on The Real Housewives of Orange County is up amid Season 19 filming.

The Bravo personality surprised her fans when she posted a cryptic message on social media on Sunday night that led everyone to believe she was quitting the show.

“It was a long run!” Judge shared on her Instagram Stories. “When life gives you real problems this reality shit doesn’t make sense. Peace out. I’m out.”

Judge and her fellow Rhoc co-stars were just spotted filming a cast trip in New Orleans over the weekend. The Housewives seemed to be in good spirits at a dog parade at the French Quarter.

Bravo is getting ready to have a group of The Real Housewives stars check in to the Love Hotel.

The dating series will feature Real Housewives of New York City‘s Luann de Lesseps, The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Shannon Beador, and The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby.

“The Housewives have checked in,” reads the teaser with music in the background that sounds similar to Darby’s single “Coffee & Love.”

Rhop‘s Bryant teased Love Hotel last year, telling Deadline that co-star Beador was an “acquired taste.”
