Plot Summary

Joanna hires country carpenter Dean to build a closet on her yacht. When the two don't see eye-to-eye, Dean is left unpaid while Joanna sets sail. The following day, Joanna is fished out of the sea, after falling overboard, suffering from amnesia. Dean sees a neat way to regain the money she owes him... he tells her she's his wife; that way Dean gets a free housekeeper and mother for his four kids. Written by Rob Hartill

Trivia As of 2014, this is the third and last of three movies that real-life couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell appeared in together as co-stars. Their earlier collaborations were Swing Shift (1984) and The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band (1968). See more »
Goofs After Annie/Joanna returns to the yacht with Grant and then decides she wants to go back to Oregon, she has the boat turned around to head back up the coast. Grant notices that "the boat's been turned around" when he sees land outside the port-side (left) window. If this were true, however, the land would be on the starboard (right) side of the yacht. Quotes Annie: Mrs. Burbridge, would you come over here for a moment? Has it *escaped your attention* that these children have head to toe poison oak?
Adele Burbridge: Well no, I... well yes, but...
Annie: But WHAT? My children are in need of medical assistance! And you can sit here and smugly lecture me on the importance of tests? Tests which exist to pigeonhole childrens potential, a thing which cannot *possibly* be measured, least of all by anal compulsive HUNS! And my husband may be a "large child," but that's none of your business! And my children may be rotten, but they're MINE. And I think that they're bright, and sensitive, so I have no doubts whatsoever about their intelligence. I do however have *serious* doubts about YOURS.
