Ordet (1955)
8/10
Great minimalist film

First visit to theatre after 4 months... it was great, I really missed the feeling of watching a movie on a big screen. Ordet is really a great movie about religion, treatment of women and humanity. The movie only has 3 close-ups which was weird because I have only seen The Passion of Joan of Arc and that movie has like 1000 close-ups. The actors in Ordet make so many little movements, they are always moving their hand or they are walking from one side of the room to another, and you are always aware of the camera work which is a plus in my book. The story wasn't engaging at parts and it took me sometime to get into the movie but the rest of the movie was perfect, especially the ending. Powerfull cinema right here!!!
