The Age of Innocence (1993)
Directing is amazing
This film is so underappreciated. Day-Lewis gives again masterful performance in his magnificent career. If you like Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice than you surely need to watch this one too.
Kaze tachinu (2013)
Master of animated movies
If someone asks me " You must choose one movie director and you must enter and live forever who would you choose?" I would immediately response Hayao Miyazaki. His animation is out of this world and every shot is breathtaking.
High Fidelity (2000)
Be careful nerds are talking
I freakin love John Cusack and this movie is like 500 days of summer but more amazing because it includes Jack Black and amazing music.
Gentleman's Agreement (1947)
Elia Kazan know how to deal with issues
Kazan deals great with issue of anti-Semitism in America. You could feel how it was being jewish or even being negro. I think this movie is really ahead of its time and like Mr. Green's mother said: "Wouldn't it be wonderful... if it turned out to be everybody's century... when people all over the world--free people-- found a way to live together?" and at the end it really was.
Oscar winners 64/92
The use of colors is stunning and animation is incredible. Soundtrack is one of the best I've heard in anime film and it really gave me the feeling of real Sci-fi movie. Now I can't wait for Taika Waititi's Akira.
The Best Years of Our Lives (1946)
Interesting story that shows us lives of soldiers after war. Great characterization.
Oscar winners 63/92
Sense and Sensibility (1995)
Where is Colin Firth?
Very fun and interesting movie similar to Pride and Prejudice. Hugh Grant was born for movies likes this.
The 2 men (Kidman and Jackman) saved the film for me. Otherwise it is pretty bad and too long. Don't waste 3 hours on this.
The Judge (2014)
If you want to watch a good courtroom film then watch 12 Angry Men
Only courtroom stuff was good other than that it is full of cliches and boring side story. Actors saved it for me.
October Sky (1999)
This film is so heartbreaking and inspiring and that's what I loved about it. Young Jake Gyllenhaal is so cute and amazing, natural talent.
The Firm (1993)
Tom Cruise and his weird movies
Why is every gangster in Hollywood movies named Tony??? You know there are other italian names.
Rio Bravo (1959)
Great movie for movie lovers
Simple story but quite entertaining. Stumpy is the most likeable character ever.
Midnight Run (1988)
Great adventure with a lot of fun
Great action comedy buddy cop movie. The plot is simple ans entertaining and it is great to see De Niro in his best roles.
Average revenge movie
When Steve Buscemi is such a legend and doesn't need a name so you just name him Buscemi.
Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
Never gets old
When people are talking about great sequels they are always mentioning Godfather and Terminator but no one mentions this great sequel to original Frankenstein. Great effects for that time and it brings some pretty good philosophical questions like the first one.
My first Fellini movie.
This has been on my watchlist for a while and I finally watched it. I can see how this film influenced many directors and cinematography is gorgeous. Soundtrack is amazing and really loved the sequenece where Sarghina danced rumba (that song was perfect). I didn't really like the dream things and was little disappointed with story but overall strong 8/10.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
We need the old Cameron and Scott back
T2 is the peak of Sci-fi genre. It also has best action scenes and cgi that stood the time.
P.s. Cgi in T2 is better than cgi in trailer of Terminator: The Dark Fate. Instead of doing stupid Avatar movies Cameron could dedicate his time to Terminator movies.
Another dark Aronofsky movie but this one wasn't that good for me
If I ever meet Darren Aronofsky I would ask him what in the name of God did they do to him in his life.
The Conversation (1974)
Coppola is flawless
Great movie but little too slow for me. Gene Hackman gives amazing performance and John Cazale chose another perfect movie for his flawless career. Didn't like the ending much because it felt untold.
Sci-fi classic with elements of paranoia
Wow the special effects are so good and cinematography is even greater. Spielberg creates another classic with amazing score. Spielberg said Star Wars will be more successful movie than Close Encounters of the Third Kind and he was right so he is now enjoying in 2.5% from Star Wars earnings. Genius.
Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2019)
That's a good start for other Pokemon movies
Cgi is really great and I loved all the Pokemon looks but the storyline is pretty predictable and badly written. I didn't care about any human character and most of the actions/lines were cheesy. Ryan Reynolds saved this movie for me with his great humour. I hope the next live action Pokemon movie will be centred around people catching Pokemons, Pokemon battles and Pokemon gyms.
Memoirs of a Geisha (2005)
I love japanese culture. It's a shame that they speak english.
Well, the fortunate even is that Jim Carrey is back in new Sonic movie!!!
Wow I miss Jim Carrey and can't wait to see him in Sonic movie. He will carry Sonic like he carried this movie. Amazing acting from him, Oscar worthy.
A Room with a View (1985)
Great movie. If you like it then watch Remains of the Day
Yeahh, Daniel Day-Lewis is the best actor ever. It is so sad that he is retiring.
I could watch this on repeat every week
One of the best movies I've ever seen and it is so underrated. The colors are perfect and camera movement is flawless. When someone say Chase movie you probably immediately think of car chase like Fast and Furious,Bullitt... but the greatest chase movie is Apocalypto and that chase is just a minor thing going on. This was my first time watch and how the hell did I watch this masterpiece so late.
