The film is about the five-man (including Cindy Williams) crew of the Vertigo. It has an "NCC" number so it is meant to spoof Star Trek, but is more like a 1950's sci-fi. They discover a planet and take aboard an alien life form that eats them and likes a good song and dance.
The film doesn't have the sharpness of the typical Leslie Nielsen film. The dialogue was an attempt at humor but falls too far short.
