Poll: Humor and Atrocities - An Ethical Dilemma

In his autobiography (1964) Charles Chaplin said that if he had known the true extent of Nazi atrocities, he "could not have made fun of their homicidal insanity" (in The Great Dictator (1940)). In this statement Charles Chaplin draws a clear line about right and wrong in satirical films. According to his view, there are crimes that are so horrific that humor becomes pointless.

Take a few min to think and answer the following question: Do you agree or disagree with the perception of Chaplin about humor boundaries?
