Brad Pitt is currently in the midst of the production of one of his most expensive films, F1. The film is gearing up to be a thrilling sports action drama, with Pitt in the lead role, with a star-studded cast to support the Mr. & Mrs. Smith alum.

While the promise of an action sports drama has fans excited for what’s to come, there have been some really great moments in actual races that need to make it into the film. In particular, fans are interested in seeing something that rivals Andy Jankowiak’s declaration before his own race.

Having been found not guilty after standing trial for sex offenses, actor Kevin Spacey is working on a comeback, signing on to star in multiple movies, doing convention appearances, and sitting down for interviews – including one for the Lex Fridman podcast. During his conversation with Fridman, Spacey was asked what it was like to work on director David Fincher’s 1995 film Seven – or Se7en, if you prefer – in which he played the serial killer known only as John Doe. Spacey’s answer gives an interesting look into the making of a film that many consider to be a classic.
Spacey confirmed to Fridman that he did not originally get the part of John Doe. Someone else was cast in the role… then, soon after filming began, Spacey got a call telling him that Fincher had fired the actor who had been cast and wanted Spacey to report to set. So he did.

David Fincher has been a prolific director who has made a lot of projects in different genres throughout his career. However, he made a breakthrough, when he made Alien 3, though the film did not make a major impact at the box office his film style and vision left a lasting influence on the viewers and critics.

However, everyone was taken aback, when he made his next film, Se7en which featured Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman in the lead roles. The film did not belong to a crime thriller or horror genre but it was an amalgamated form of different genres. The film had arguably the biggest plot twist at the end, and it was so scary that the audience had a difficult time watching it on the big screen.

David Fincher’s star-studded crime thriller Se7en is one of the best in the genre. The film featuring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman in the lead, starred Kevin Spacey as a serial killer executing murders across the city based on the seven deadly sins. However, when the film was released, Spacey decided to be absent from the marketing campaign and the opening credits due to a genius reason.
Kevin Spacey in Se7en
Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt headlined Se7en as an almost-retired detective and his young partner investigating the brutal murders by the serial killer. The film can be easily credited as a horror piece due to the horrific murders that are shown. But what made it more popular for the fans was the shock to find out who the killer was. Spacey planned to make it play out that way.

It's hard to imagine "Seven" without its intense climax. As modern crime thrillers go, they don't get much better than David Fincher's 1995 effort, which truly established the arrival of the director as a subversive talent within Hollywood. "Seven" was a hit, becoming the 12th biggest film of the year domestically despite lackluster expectations and being what Brad Pitt called in an LA Times interview, "The feel-bad movie of '95."
The movie's shocking finale had a lot to do with that success, but it wasn't just a "twist ending" that propelled it. Fincher crafted a visceral world of grime and decay which, draped in cinematographer Darius Khondji's minimal lighting, became oddly alluring. Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt as detective duo William Somerset and David Mills delivered compelling performances, with Freeman in particular arguably at the apex of his career. But there's no escaping that ending, which delivers a gut...

Denzel Washington’s Hollywood career is marked by many successes, but he also has some regrets. One of his biggest was declining a role that ultimately turned Brad Pitt into a star.
It’s a common occurrence in the entertainment industry, where actors often make difficult choices about which projects to take. In this case, however, Washington’s decision had a lasting impact on Pitt’s career, and the role became one of the most iconic in Hollywood history.

In regards to the latter, Washington was offered the role that eventually got handed to George Clooney.

In the wake of the pandemic, shows have gotten inventive, many eschewing actors entirely in favor of finding unique ways to tell stories with animated methods. Case in point: the upcoming AMC+ series “Ultra City Smiths,” which released its first trailer below and looks to be a fun / bizarre, murder-mystery told with stop-motion animation and baby dolls.
The plot synopsis per AMC:
From AMC Studios and created by Steve Conrad and Stoopid Buddy Stoodios “Ultra City Smiths” unfolds via the stop-motion animation of baby dolls repurposed as a grown-up cast of characters. The series hinges on an investigation into the mysterious disappearance of fictional metropolis Ultra City’s most famous magnate (Smith).
Two intrepid detectives (Jimmi Simpson and Da’Vine Joy Randolph) follow the case, rallying to fight against their city’s dangerous corruption, at a high cost to themselves and their families, all in pursuit of a gentler place to call home.

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of film critics two questions and publishes the results on Monday.
This week’s question: Last weekend saw the release of “Adrift,” a true-life survival story that builds to an improbably big plot twist.
With that example fresh in our minds, we asked critics to pick the most satisfying plot twist they’ve seen in a film, and to expound upon why it worked so well for them.
This should go without saying, but spoiler alert.
Emma Stefansky (@stefabsky), Vanity Fair, Uproxx
I tend to miss out on classic film twists that have become so deeply entrenched in the culture that it’s easy to have them casually spoiled for you. I knew about the Keyser Söze thing before I watched “The Usual Suspects,” and I don’t think “I am your father” really registered for me when I saw “The Empire Strikes Back” as a kid.
