The future is not looking bright for Raven’s Home, which has officially been cancelled by Disney Channel after six seasons, TVLine has confirmed.
A continuation of That’s So Raven, which aired on Disney Channel from 2003 to 2007, Raven’s Home reunited viewers with the sitcom’s titular psychic (played by Raven-Symoné), who was now the mother of twins — including a son Booker (Issac Ryan Brown), who has clairvoyant powers of his own. Set in Chicago for its first four seasons, Raven’s Home ultimately relocated back to San Francisco (aka the original setting of That’s So Raven) for the remainder of its run.

I don’t even want to say it. I’ll let you say his name because I want to be sure. Is it ‘Pooh Bear?’ Come on; you got to be kidding me,” Walker said of the Wichita State player. Hernandez responded, “Isaiah ‘Pooh Bear’ Chandler is 50 Native American from the Oglala Lakota tribe, so he chose to use ‘Pooh Bear’ on his jersey.” “You know what, I love that. Shoutout to Coach Isaac Brown for allowing it to happen,” Walker replied before continuing to compare the athlete to Winnie the Pooh. Wichita State Men’s basketball player Isaiah Poor Bear-Chandler isn’t pleased with how his culturally significant name was mocked by CBS Sports broadcasters.
The basketballer is half Native American from the Oglala Lakota tribe and grew up on a reservation in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.
CBS Sports broadcasters Chris Walker and Chick Hernandez joked that “Poor-Bear” was “Pooh Bear” during their coverage of Monday’s Wichita state win over Grand Canyon University
When word got back to Poor Bear-Chandler, he responded on Twitter.
“So it’s okay to make fun of my last name?” Poor Bear-Chandler wrote on Twitter. “Just shows your ability to be serious in a professional setting. Just because my people was almost colonized doesn’t mean I don’t know where I come from!”
Wichita State athletics also made a statement on Tuesday addressing the “inappropriate and insensitive comments.”
During the game, Walker said, “Who got that offensive rebound?...

Disney is taking more strides toward LGBTQ+ representation with the bisexual lead character of The Owl House.
Series creator Dana Terrace spoke about her Disney Channel series on Twitter, confirming that lead character Luz Noceda is bisexual. Terrace, who is also bisexual, said she intended to reflect her own personal experiences in the animated series and was very open during the development process about featuring lead characters who are queer.
“I’m a horrible liar so sneaking it in would’ve been hard,” she tweeted. “When we were greenlit I was told by certain Disney leadership that I could Not represent any form of bi or gay relationship on the Channel.”
But even despite some Disney figures’ hesitation, The Owl House went on to feature a queer character as its lead. The Disney channel show follows 14-year-old Luz who seeks to become a witch, despite her lack of magical abilities.

The beloved animated series “Kim Possible,” which aired for five years on the Disney Channel in the early aughts, connected with its audience because it portrayed a strong but fashion-forward young woman who fought crime and got good grades. So it only makes sense that when the network decided to reboot the story and titular character as a live-action TV movie, the creative team behind it would want to preserve the message of female empowerment while updating the tale to relate to a whole new batch of 6 to 14-year-old viewers.
“When I first joined the project, it was right around the time ‘Wonder Woman’ had been released,” says executive producer Zanne Devine. “Given this moment in time, my pitch was this is ‘Wonder Woman’ for the prepubescent set.”

The Disney Channel’s live-action Kim Possible movie has cast a couple new actors that were previously involved with the animated series. Patton Oswalt and Christy Carlson Romano are set to appear in the movie.
Romano, who voiced the teen super-spy in the original series, will pop up in a cameo role, while Oswalt is set to play the villainous Professor Dementor, which is the same character he voiced in the show.
They join the previously cast Sadie Stanley as Kim Possible and Sean Giambrone as Ron Stoppable. The rest of the cast includes Alyson Hannigan, Todd Stashwick, Taylor Ortega, Ciara Wilson, Erika Tham, Issac Ryan Brown, and Connie Ray.
Kim Possible centers on a typical high school girl who, in her spare time, saves the world from evil villains. Along with her hapless sidekick Ron and his naked mole-rat Rufus, Kim took on power-hungry villains like Drakken and Shego.
