Teen Wolf took Hall H on Thursday, where stars Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien and more dished on what fans can expect from the rest of season 4, and announced Teen Wolf has been picked up for a fifth season.
Teen Wolf To Focus On "Human Problems"
Executive producer Jeff Davis kicked off the excitement, announcing that MTV had picked up Teen Wolf for a 20-episode season 5 – eight episodes longer than season 4. After revealing the big news, Davis spoke about how he sees Teen Wolf evolving in season 4, noting that he wants to move away from the heavy mythology of the show. Davis mentioned Stephen Spielberg’s E.T. as the prime example, saying, “[It goes] back to human problems as oppose to creating another mythology or a creature.”

Herds of screaming girls and men proudly wearing “Part Wolf” shirts howled like crazy for Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, and other cast members of Teen Wolf during the supernatural hit’s Comic-Con panel this year. Though the cast was at times slightly distracted by their own image on the large video screens surrounding them—and their own poop jokes—the MTV stars provided some good scoop about the show’s current fourth season and future alongside series executive producer Jeff Davis. Well, that was after Posey decided to cartwheel onto the stage. “I think I broke my toe,” he admitted.

One of the high points of the third season of MTV’s intoxicatingly fun, scary and sexy Teen Wolf was the addition of Charlie Carver and his twin brother, Max. We watched the Carver brothers grow up playing the Scavo twins on Desperate Housewives but their roles on Teen Wolf have given them even greater exposure– their chiseled physiques are on display often, and the brothers have held their own against fellow Tw hunks Tyler Posey, Tyler Hoechlin, Keahu Kahuanui and Dylan O’Brien.

The biggest complaint we’ve had about MTV’s Teen Wolf since its debut is the lack of screen time for gay student Danny Mahealani, who’s part of the in-crowd at school, and friends with the main cast, which has put him on the periphery of most of the action.
Thankfully, we’ve seen more of Danny this season, which means we’ve had the pleasure of seeing more of Keahu Kahuanui, who has taken a secondary character and imbued it with life. Our interview with him was one our favorites of last year, and showed him to be funny, gracious, and fully aware of what his Danny character means to so many people.

Previously on Teen Wolf, a Druid with a pronounced case of obsessive-compulsive disorder began axe-murdering Beacon Hills residents in groups of threes. Virgins, soldiers, healers, blacksmiths, alchemists, gingers, lefties, cat owners, people who say “supposebly.” The Druid zigged toward Melissa McCall then zagged toward Dr. Deaton, who, after being rescued by Scott, finally gave him some information in the form of a full sentence. The sentence was: “You are Jesus of the Wolves.” Unfortunately, Jesus still hadn’t mastered the miracle of controlling his erections. (#SomethingCameUp) Derek accidentally killed Boyd in a puddle of electrical water while fighting Kalli (and those tricksy little hobbitses Aiden and Ethan). And Danny almost died of homicide because of his science fair project that proves Beacon Hills sits on top of a Moonmouth.

Snap judgment: Teen Wolf’s fans are a little nuts, in the best way possible.
The Panel: Executive producer Jeff Davis, Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Dylan O’Brien, Crystal Reed, Tyler Hoechilin, Daniel Sharman, and Charlie and Max Carver.

Cue the wolf whistle!
Logo's New Now Next blog has really outdone themselves with this new video featuring the gayest moments from MTV's shirtless extravaganza/man candy convention known as "Teen Wolf."
Anyone who has tuned into this show for even a few minutes knows that "Teen Wolf" is pretty gay. When a show is created by an out gay man, Jeff Davis, features countless shirtless scenes of model-y actors and even has a gay character, it finds itself venturing into gay territory (they even end up at a gay club in one episode!) pretty quickly.
The series, currently in the middle of its third season, has already had one big gay scene this season. During last week's episode the gay goalie of the lacrosse team, Danny (played by Keahu Kahuanui), and Ethan (played by Charlie Carver) engaged in a haunted hotel room tryst (you kind of have to see...

But sadly, another wolf bites the dust. Find out which pack member didn’t last the night!
The July 15 episode of Teen Wolf introduced yet another phrase into fans’ vocabularies, “True Alpha,” as Scott (Tyler Posey) reached a new level in his own personal wolf-y evolution. Apparently pushing himself beyond his limits to save — or at least attempt to save — Dr. Deaton’s life turned Scott into a full-blown alpha wolf without having to be turned by someone else! Score?
Yes, score! Especially since this apparently only happens every hundred years, or so. But what does Scott becoming a “True Alpha” mean for the rest of Beacon Hills’ furry population? That remains to be seen, and I can’t wait to find out!
Bye Bye, Boyd!
As much as we all thought Dr. Deaton was going to bite the proverbial bullet — come on, the dude was left hanging in the...

That noise you heard Monday night may have been wolves howling at the moon... or fans howling with the delight!
MTV's "Teen Wolf" delivered the gay goods last night with some good old fashioned teen on werewolf action as the much anticipated (at least in "Teen Wolf" fan circles) Danny and Ethan kissing scene finally happened.
For anyone unfamiliar with the "Teen Wolf" plot, the title basically explains most of what you need to know. From there, the show offers plot points involving rival wolf packs, wolf hunters, etc, and now in its third season, "Teen Wolf" has only seen its mythology grow stronger and more intricate.
Aside from supernatural beings, the "Teen Wolf" high school, Beacon Hills High, also has its token gay student, Danny (played by Keahu Kahuanui), who catches the eye of new student, Ethan (played by Charlie Carver), who happens to be part of the rival alpha wolf pack (you following?...

Steamy hookups, wild revelations and one big shocking return! Can we come back to this motel next week?
I often find myself defending Teen Wolf to my non-viewing friends by saying things like, “Listen, I know it has ‘Teen’ in the title, but it’s not that angsty.” Then came the July 8 episode, in which Scott (Tyler Posey) and the rest of his pubescent pack were so overcome by their inner demons that that they all tried to kill themselves. So as cool and creepy as the episode was, my “it’s not that angsty” argument is hereby null and void.
Welcome To The ‘Motel California’
In what might have been the most irresponsible class trip ever, the gang checked into a sketchy motel — the references to “Hotel California” were anything but subtle — and those druid sacrifices we heard about last week began to take shape in the form of mass suicides.

Nom claims Canada imprisoning anti-gay priests, Father Tiger’s “First Love,” and Zachary Quinto hopes Scotus decision is galvanizing
Zachary Quinto says he doesn’t know what the Supreme Court is going to decide, but he’s hopeful for the future when it happens. “We’ll see what happens… I’m certainly not going to hazard against it to say what happens, but I hope it’s a galvanizing moment, and I’m hopeful that [equal marriage] will be supported and we’ll continue to move forward. I think no matter what happens, it’s an unstoppable wave at this point, and I’ve said that before because I really believe it.”
If you’re hoping for Team Gay representation from Teen Wolf at Comic-Con, you’ll have to make due with Max Carver’s Ethan, because Keahu Kahuanui (who was at last night’s Hot 100 party in La) isn’t scheduled to attend.

If last week’s episode of Teen Wolf taught us anything, it’s that virgins are not welcome in Beacon Hills. Unfortunately, that’s bad news for poor Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), whose best option for shredding his V-card fell victim to a mysterious killer. Lydia (Holland Roden), ahem, has been busy. But she’s not the only one getting busy on the show. Danny (Keahu Kahuanui), one of the show’s few openly gay characters, will see his own romantic storyline unfold this season. Photos: Summer TV Preview: 51 New and Returning Series “Love is in the air,” Kahuanui tells The Hollywood Reporter.

With the chart-topping ranks the men of Teen Wolf found themselves at in this year’s Hot 100 readers’ poll, it’s obvious that Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Daniel Sharman and Keahu Kahuanui are favorites.
But how is the actual show doing?
The MTV werewolf drama kicked off season 3 recently, so we gathered a few critics together to talk about the creative strength of the show, how the new cast additions (Charlie and Max Carver) are doing and who we’d like to see more of.
Making up this Roundtable is Damian Holbrook (Senior Writer, TV Guide Magazine), Heather Hogan (Senior Editor, AfterEllen.com), Andy Swift (Senior Entertainment Editor, HollywoodLife.com) and our own Entertainment Reporter, Jim Halterman.
Is this the kind of puppy love that is better suited for Scott (Tyler Posey)?
The show has pulled back on the Scott/Allison love story considerably compared to earlier seasons.

Plus, an intense battle turns into an unexpected family reunion.
Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) almost got lucky on the June 10 episode of Teen Wolf – his uneasiness over the extra-large condoms was priceless – but things quickly turned south when his lady friend was kidnapped, and he was the last person to see her alive. First times are always messy like that.
But if you thought that was going to be the worst thing that happened this week, you clearly need a refresher on just how twisted this show can be.
The Great Werewolf Caper
The gang tapped into Isaac’s memory — which, of course, required a healthy dose of shirtless torture — and learned that Boyd was being held in the basement of an abandoned bank. We also learned that Erica (Gage Golightly) might be dead, but considering MTV tweeted this picture of her on set, I’m thinking she’s actually pretty alive.

Meet new bad boys Aiden (Max Carver, l) and Ethan (Charlie Carver, r)
That howling you hear? Werewolves from your television set. Or it could also be fans of Teen Wolf howling for the hot guys of Beacon Hills. Either way it’s a sign that MTV’s hit supernatural drama is back for a third season.
Four months have passed in the world of Teen Wolf, and while troublemaker Jackson will no longer be around (actor Colton Haynes left for the CW’s Arrow) there’s a new pack of Alphas to stir things up and make life hard for Scott, Stiles, Derek, Danny, Isaac and the rest of the gang.
The man behind Teen Wolf, out creator Jeff Davis, was clearly excited about fans seeing the new season when we talked last week. He shared details about what we can expect.
TheBacklot: Scott (Tyler Posey) continues to evolve.

Finally, we are only one day away from another season of supernatural shenanigans on MTV’s Teen Wolf. A lot has happened in Beacon Hills over the course of two seasons. It’s a primer of everything you need to know before we kick off our season three recaps.

WonderCon 2013, which took place this past weekend in Anaheim, California, may be smaller in scale than the summer geekfest of Comic Con, but it still manages to attract celebrities from the hottest movies and television shows.
On the TV front, I had the honor of being asked by the fine folks at MTV to moderate the Teen Wolf panel. During the hour-long Q&A, Jeff Davis and stars Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien talked about what’s to come in the much-anticipated third season (which premieres June 3rd on MTV).

Teen Wolf fans are a patient pack. After all, MTV has conditioned us to wait a full year between seasons, but given how absolutely sensational season two was, it's easy to understand why the wait for season three has felt particularly painful.

Hello lovely readers! I'm Adri and I'm thrilled to bring you guys this week's edition of The Shipping News! We'll look into the slash shippers' love affair with Twitter hashtags, the turbulent and the inexplicable sides of fandom, and some love for one of the slash world's most epic pairings. Let's go!
Slash Soap Box: Twitter Campaigns
The first thing I want to talk about on my shiny new soap box is the fact that we have a soap box. Even though slash shippers are well known in fandom for their passion and often explosively excited nature, it’s taken a while for the spotlight to shine on us. Did the good old homoerotic subtext in TV and film get even more obvious, thus causing a spike in the number of swooning fans? And if it did, was it due to show runners finally catching on to the untapped resource...

It's finally obvious why Rupert Everett made those horrible comments about gay parents – he has a new book to sell. Still, in some ways I empathize with some of the reasons he's putting forth on kids and marriage. "For me, being gay was about wanting to do the opposite of the straight world, so I think that's where my problems in this particular area come from. For me, personally, the last thing I would like in the entire world would be to go through cocktailing my sperm with my boyfriend and finding some grim couple in Ohio who are gluten-free and who you pay $75,000 to have your baby. To me it feels absolutely hideous. But that's me, just me. I'm not having a go at gay couples who do. I think if Elton and David want to have babies, that's wonderful. I think we should all do what we want.

Last week we found out that the kanima is, not Lydia, but Jackson. There’s still something wrong with Lydia, but it sure is fun to hate Jackson, isn’t it? And making him a monster that kills people justifies some more good old fashioned audience hatred. Continuing right where we left off, Derek and Scott run after Jackson/kanima, who bump into the Argents, who shoot after the kanima, but let’s be honest, were fairly frivolous with their bullets.
The kanima leads them to…the “Jungle,” a gay bar that Danny (Keahu Kahuanui) clearly frequents, continuing the tradition of high school and underage characters drinking at bars without any sort of recompense or evidence of a fake ID on TV shows. At least Scott and Stiles are unable to order a drink (once in), settling for cokes. Of course, they should be tracking Jackson instead,...

Last week we found out that the kanima is, not Lydia, but Jackson. There’s still something wrong with Lydia, but it sure is fun to hate Jackson, isn’t it? And making him a monster that kills people justifies some more good old fashioned audience hatred. It should also be noted that Stiles helped him put his pants back on, "one leg at a time." While we're talking...
