What happens when you replace the guys in famous movie scenes with gals? Does it highlight the preposterousness of the original scenes? Does it show that movies guys like are just as melodramatic as “chick flicks” supposedly are? Does it make you realize how infrequently women get to play really juicy dramatic scenes? Or is it just fun? The Girls on Film -- consisting of the “Canadian super-team” of director Jeff Hammond and actor Ashleigh Harrington -- is, according to their site: an interactive web-series that remakes guy-on-guy movie scenes for your viewing pleasure. See more -- including scenes from No Country for Old Men, Fight Club, and more -- at the Girls on Film site or YouTube channel, like them on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter.

The downfall of many a comic book movie franchise can be (at least partially) attributed to the fact that as the number of movies in the franchise increases, so too does the number of villains facing off against the hero. Two of the biggest offenders of this franchise-ending trend are Batman & Robin, the fourth and final movie in the original Batman movie series with three major villains — Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger), Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman), and Bane (Jeep Swenson) — and Spider-Man 3, which also upped the ante to three villains — Green Goblin II (James Franco), Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) and Venom (Topher Grace).
So far director Christopher Nolan seems to have avoided this "curse," pitting his Batman (Academy Award-winner Christian Bale) against both the Joker (Heath Ledger) and Two-Face (Aaron Eckhart) — and, technically Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy), as well, though it was more of a glorified cameo — in his highly acclaimed sequel The Dark Knight.

The cast for The Dark Knight Rises seems to be getting bigger and bigger by the week with some fans complaining/wondering if things are going to be too cramped. Well it looks like things are going to get even more cramped with actor Jeff Hammond tweeting that he is apparently currently in talks with director Christopher Nolan to join the cast of The Dark Knight Rises as another potential villain for the film. Hammonds acting credits is quite a small list with him only having appeared in Breakout Kings, Black Friday, among a few others. The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordan-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Josh Pence, Juno Temple, & Matthew Modine.

Christopher Nolan is now filming "The Dark Knight Rises" in the UK, and while he is doing his best to keep the story a secret, information is still leaking out. Spoilers Ahead: One Shh user had the chance to hang around the set. "The majority of the filming was going on inside rather than outside. All there was to see was some lighting rigs, two big Panavision trucks, a wardrobe truck and security guards. We did eventually talk to a security guard, who told us The Croydon Delta Point building is doubling for a Gotham hospital and Alfred is admitted as a patient." In related news, actor Jeff Hammond updated his Twitter account with news that he may play a villain in the film. "I'm in talks with Chris Nolan to play another villain in 'The Dark Knight Rises,'" he wrote. "Can't wait to show my new face.

It’s a good thing that Christopher Nolan knows how to handle a large cast as he’ll be doing just that with his upcoming film The Dark Knight Rises. We already know that Batman will have his hands full with Bane (Tom Hardy), Catwoman (Anne Hatheway), an unknown Mad Scientist, and a politician (here). But now it looks as though another foe will be coming.
On his Twitter, Jeff Hammond (Breakout Kings, Black Friday) mentioned that he’s currently “in talks with #ChrisNolan to play another villain in #thedarkknightrises”.
There’s no idea of what character he’ll be portraying, but that’s standard procedure on a Nolan film. Although, you have to admit the film is getting pretty crowded with villains, but we shouldn’t have to worry about it turning into Spider-Man 3 or anything.
