Our favorite underdogs are back, as Apple TV+ released a new trailer Monday for “Ted Lasso” Season 3 showing fan-favorite Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) stepping up as assistant coach when Nate (Nick Mohammed) switches over to a rival team.
With the third installment of the Emmy-winning comedy, which will debut on Apple TV+ March 15, AFC Richmond takes a shot at the Premier League, which is betting on its last-place finish.
Following its record-breaking, back-to-back Emmy wins for its freshman and sophomore seasons, “Ted Lasso” returns with 12 weekly episodes centering on the newly-promoted Greyhounds. The team must reckon with the ridicule that comes with media predictions that widely peg them as last in the League, along with Nate’s contentious departure to work for Rupert (Anthony Head) at West Ham United.

“Ted Lasso” is warming up for the big match. The Apple TV+ hit is returning for its third season in less than a month, and the full official trailer for the upcoming season has been released by the streamer.
Based (very) loosely on a series of 2013 NBC Sports ads promoting the channel’s coverage of Britain’s Premier League, “Ted Lasso” stars Jason Sudeikis as the title character, a corny but unfailingly kindhearted college American Football coach who gets the opportunity to coach the middling AFC Richmond association football team in England. Although initially mocked by the press and distrusted by the team, Ted’s compassionate approach to coaching slowly wins them over, and he and the club’s owner Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) become determined to win the league by any means necessary.

Apple TV+ has set a March 15 premiere date for season three of Ted Lasso. The two-time Emmy winner for best comedy series will roll out its 12-episode season weekly starting then — which puts its finale at May 31, the last day of eligibility for Emmy consideration this year. AFC Richmond is (almost) back. Almost two years after the premiere of “Ted Lasso’s” second season, the third (and maybe final) season of the acclaimed Apple TV+ comedy will premiere in Spring 2023, it was announced Wednesday. “Ted Lasso” Season 3, which will return to Apple TV+ in spring 2023, has unveiled its first-look image, which sees Nathan (Nick Mohammed) and Ted (Jason Sudeikis) going head-to-head.
While Ted is shown smiling, Nathan seems austere and focused. In Season 2, viewers followed the latter as he struggled to step into his confidence and at times toed the line between cruelty and asserting himself as someone who is often overlooked. While plot details for the junior installment are being kept under wraps, the photo seems to imply that the tension between Ted and Nathan will continue to evolve.

Ted Lasso fans have a little bit more to wait for the big Season 3 premiere, which will be this spring, Apple TV+ announced at TCA.
In the meantime, the streamer is teasing what’s ahead in a first-look photo (below) showing the titular character (Jason Sudeikis) face-to-face with Nathan Shelley (Nick Mohammed), who looks to still have his feet planted on the dark side. Standing between them in the back is another Ted Lasso villain, Rupert (Anthony Head).
In the Season 2 finale, Nathan unleashed all his built-up disappointments and frustrations after telling the media about Ted’s panic attacks in a power play. He then left Richmond to coach West Ham for Rupert (Head). Ted appears to not be holding a grudge but the duo may still have some work to do together to get past those resentments.

Harrison Ford has adventured around the world as Indiana Jones, but the film star has only explored uncharted territory — episodic television — last year, with the premiere of “Yellowstone” prequel “1923” on Paramount+ in December. But Ford already has a new TV series, “Shrinking,” coming out a month later, and a little over a week before the premiere of the series, the full trailer has been released by Apple TV+ out of its Television Critics Association winter press tour conference.
“Shrinking” stars Jason Segel as Jimmy, a therapist working at a cognitive behavioral center reeling from the death of his beloved wife and struggling to be there for his patients. When he snaps at a patient (played by “SNL” cast member Heidi Gardner) that she needs to leave her emotionally abusive husband, to positive results, Jimmy decides that the best way he can help others is by telling them exactly what he thinks.

"So how does that make you feel?" This question has been uttered by just about every incarnation of a therapist on screen, and the new series "Shrinking" is no different. Jason Segel stars as Jimmy Laird, a grieving therapist who realizes he's running on auto-pilot with his patients and trying to numb himself after the loss of his wife instead of actually dealing with his problems. Realizing he needs to make a massive change, Jimmy decides to throw the ethical rulebook out the window and tell his clients exactly what he thinks, much to the chagrin of fellow psychiatrist, Dr. Paul Rhodes (Harrison Ford). Rather than wait to hear how a patient "feels" about a situation, he's dishing out advice that will shake up their lives ... and his own.
If the premise alone doesn't have you hooked, perhaps its the knowledge that "Shrinking" is the latest venture from Bill Lawrence,...
