Warning: If you haven’t seen tonight’s episode of Glee, you might want to stop reading now. Everyone else, carry on.
Okay, deep breaths. Has everyone recovered enough from tonight’s gut-wrenching Glee that we can get around to the business of discussing it?
For starters, I know a lot of folks will probably ask if it was “too soon” for Ryan Murphy & Co. to tackle a story arc about gunshots ringing out in the hallways of McKinley High a mere four months after the real and unspeakable shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary. I understand that question, but the...

*full disclosure: a screener of this film was provided by Monarch Home Entertainment. Director: Ken Winkler. Writers: Eric Rucker and Ken Winkler. Cast: Nikki Moore, Scott Wilson, Scott Mitchell Nelson, James Mathers, Mark Craig, Douglas Bennett, Ronnie Gene Blevins, Christina Diaz and Jonna Walsh and Trisha Rae Stahl. Kiss the Abyss is an indie thriller that was originally released in Germany. Monarch Home Entertainment is now set to release this title in North America February 26th, on DVD. Director Ken Winkler's first film deals with transformation. One woman, Lesley (Nikki Moore) is killed violently, but she returns from the dead. Her return involves a desire for blood and lots of dubbing. Mouths are still synched to the lines; yet, something is lost the arena of believability through the film's sound. All other film elements, from acting to direction, are excellent, but Kiss the Abyss is only for more forgiving indie fans.

If you were hoping (like me) that "Glee" would pay homage to the brilliance of "Love, Actually" in its holiday-themed "Glee, Actually," you may have been sorely disappointed. But there were, like in that great Christmas movie, several storylines.
And, like "Love, Actually," not all holiday tales are created equal. Thus, it is time to rank the holiday tales shared in "Glee, Actually."
5. Secret Santa, aka Sue's small heart grew three sizes that day
Of course, "Glee" is pretty much contractually required to end an episode with sweetness and singing. This is, however, unfortunate. The "Secret Santa" story at the end was easily the weakest of the five.
Why? Mostly this is because we've seen it all before.
Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) pulls Millie Rose (Trisha Rae Stahl) the lunch lady in the faculty Secret Santa activity. After some obligatory meanness and cute scenes with Becky (Lauren Potter), Sue spies...

We may not have gotten past Thanksgiving yet, but "Glee" is already preparing for the holiday season. Photos from the show's Christmas episode, "Glee, Actually," give us a look at what sorts of presents Gleeks will get this year.
First of all, yes: The title does indicate that we are getting some sort of parody or homage to the great holiday film, "Love, Actually." Which aspects of that movie will "Glee" copy? That remains to be seen. After all, we only have four photos.
So what is in the four photos?
First of all, we see Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch), getting fully into the holiday spirit. The festive red and white colors indicate that the dreaded Cheerios coach may have some good tidings this year. That, or she's just writing to tell Santa not to bring anything to New Directions.
Sue, however, has reckoned without Santa Brittany (Heather Morris). Is...

Mike O'Malley's Burt Hummell has some company on Glee's list of great parents. Stahl, whose credits include ER, was revealed to be McKinley's new cafeteria lunch lady who was the subject of ridicule among students including members of New Directions until Marley put an end to it.
