On March 25, 2002, ABC introduced to the world a show that took one man’s search for Ms. Right and, with the help of some alleged post-production trickery and the casting of some beyond wackadoo hopefuls, turned it into a reality-tv phenomenon which has since spawned multiple STDs spin-offs.
We’re of course talking about The Bachelor, which on this day marks its 15th anniversary.

In today's Healthy Hollywood feature: You might remember Dr. Andy Baldwin from season 10 of ABC's "The Bachelor." Healthy Hollywood first met the handsome and very sweet doc last year. I have a lot of respect for what Dr. Baldwin has accomplished since his reality days.
For starters, he's a Navy officer, a family doctor, a humanitarian who helps out in impoverished countries, a supporter of fallen soldiers with his charity Got Your Back, a marathoner - and an all-around super nice guy!
Too bad, he's taken! I didn't know when I first met him but the good ...

As Bachelor fans wait to see whether Juan Pablo Galavis chooses Nikki or Clare on Monday's Final Rose episode, at least one contestant has already moved on after being dumped by the Venezuelan hottie.
Single mom Renee Oteri, 32, who Galavis said goodbye to after their hometown date, is engaged to Bracy Maynard, a guy she's known since she was 12. But she's not the only former contestant to find love off-camera.
While newly engaged former Bachelorette Emily Maynard is hoping that the fourth time is the charm, and two-time contestant Kacie Boguskie is engaged, these former contestants have also found their happily ever after.

Ahh, what would "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette" be without Chris Harrison?
Hmm, maybe they would produce relationships that actually last ...
The ABC shows' host keeps the emotions flowing as he breaks up cocktail parties and announces the final rose of the evening, but he also awkwardly oversteps his boundaries. C'mon man, do you have to call Desiree Hartstock and reveal that one of her male suitors is a lying cheater? Or do you have to make Andy Baldwin look like an idiot as he forgets to put his car in park? Well yes, we guess you do.
Still, Chris tends to get a bit too involved with the contestants' love lives instead of backing off and letting the drama unfold on its own. Seriously, we never want to hear him sing "On the Wings of Love" again. Like Ever again.
Check out Chris' funniest wingman moments above.

Even though neither of them made a lasting love connection on their respective seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, everything is coming up roses for Peyton Wright and Chris Lambton.
The couple, who met through mutual Bachelor pals at a 2010 golf tournament in North Carolina, currently co-host Hgtv's home gardening show Going Yard. And they celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary on May 5.
"I'm so glad Andy Baldwin left me standing there on that aircraft carrier," Wright tells People of being sent home after a two-on-one date in season 10 of The Bachelor. "I'm glad it didn't go any further because it wouldn't have worked out.

Though we’ve known sweet, Southern single mom Emily Maynard would be the next Bachelorette for a week, host Chris Harrison, who officially announced it on Good Morning America this morning, assures us it was only a done deal today. The producers have long been courting Maynard, he says. “We approached her. She was reluctant, and needed a lot of time to think about it, obviously, because there’s somebody else involved in her life, Ricki, her daughter. It was a huge decision. It wasn’t our usual approach to finding the Bachelorette,” he says. “We took it very slow.

Among the 47,438 runners weaving through New York City's five boroughs this morning, there were 15 famous faces. Each one was running for a cause making their Ing Marathon run all the more priceless.
The participating celebrities ranged from professional athletes to stunning models.

The former New York Ranger captain and six-time Stanley Cup champion finished the 26.2 miles in 4 hours, 14 minutes, 21 seconds.
“I just got filled up with inspiration,” Messier said. “I feel great.”

If the casting sessions with the women are any indication, Ben Flajnik will prove to be a very popular man indeed on the upcoming season of The Bachelor. Just three out of the 20 relationships that formed because of ‘The Bachelor/Bachelorette’ have lasted. With an 85-percent failure rate are Brad and Emily doomed?
After going on The Bachelor for the second time, Brad Womack finally met the love of his life — Emily Maynard. But since they got engaged back in November, the couple has broken up multiple times. And now that they are finally a public couple, Emily says she’s not ready to get married yet and refuses to move to Austin for Brad. Could this mean that they are right on track to joining the 17 other failed Bachelor/Bachelorette couples?
The most shocking Bachelor breakups to date:
Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi. Jake and Vienna got engaged on the show, but broke up in June 2010. They pretended to stay together for a month longer to keep up appearances — but Vienna was soon seen out with Greek star Gregory Michael.

Last week, former contestants Amy Bean, Natalie, Deanna, Holly and their Stagliano boys showed up to support the premiere of a movie called Heaven’s Rain that my production company had a hand in getting produced. If you have a second, check out the story at Heavensrainmovie.com. Then on Sunday, Andy Baldwin, Ryan Sutter and I took part in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon. We thought we'd heard everything, but apparently ABC has ordered a spinoff of The Bachelor franchise in which former contestants live together, Big Brother style.
Its working title? Bachelor Pad, obviously.
Yes, we're dead serious.
The series will reunite 20 contestants from the previous 13 seasons of The Bachelor and five of The Bachelorette, which have produced a combined one marriage.
Executive producer Martin Hilton said the Pad's concept was inspired by the real-life relationships that have continued among former Bachelor cast members:
"All these people have been friends, enemies, and bring all this great back story. It seemed like there was an opportunity to combine that with a new show."
Will Bachelor Pad feature any of these hotties? Here's hoping!
Contestants will live in a house and compete in challenges, some inspired by incidents from past seasons. Each episode will end with Big Brother style evictions.
