Screenwriter Huston Huddleston (Greatest Show Ever) is writing the screenplay for a film adaptation of the independent femme fatale comic, Valentine, which is written and illustrated by Daniel Cooney and published by Red Eye Press. Chautauqua Cordova Entertainment (C2 Entertainment) is optioning Valentine for motion picture called Valentine: Brains, Beauty and Bullets about a female contract killer who has an “addictive attraction to risk and violence in the deadly world of murder-for-hire.”
Huddleston’s screenplay goes into Dana Valentine’s past to find what shapes a violent killer and how her profession affects her psychologically and the few relationships she maintains. Most of all, Valentine is about “the unrelenting resolve of a female killing machine.”
Who doesn’t love babes and bullets? The comic is a bit rough around the edges which makes it ripe for a good film adaptation if it gets the right treatment. Reading the preview comic on the Valentine website,...
