Adult Swim’s latest release, Ninja Kamui is a revenge anime about the Shinobi clans. I have rarely been disappointed by Adult Swim, and now that they are entering the anime scene, they have succeeded in creating an action-packed thriller. I was pretty hyped up after watching the first episode, and, as expected, the second one did not disappoint either. The animation does remind me a lot of anime like Steins; Gate and Super Crooks. However, I wonder if American-Japanese anime will become its own thing. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the idea, as I’m not too fond of American corporations capitalizing on Japanese art now, but regardless they are making some great shows, and Ninja Kamui is definitely one of them.

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on the show!
Match #1: Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – The Usos def. The New Day The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With history on the line, The New Day were hoping to keep hold of their record run as tag team champions, and they brought everything they had to the titleholders. The Usos isolated Kofi Kingston from Xavier Woods, not allowing Kingston to tag him in. When Kingston eventually tagged in Woods, the former King of the Ring was a house on fire, almost capturing the titles after a flurry of offense. A huge top-rope leg drop from Woods nearly sealed the deal, but Jimmy kicked out at 2.9 repeating. The Usos had a heart-pounding moment of their own, as Woods kicked out of a massive Double Uso Splash.

WWE superstar Liv Morgan shows off makeup backstage during a WWE event. Pic credit: @yaonlylivvonce/Instagram
It’s been a whirlwind past few weeks for WWE superstar Liv Morgan, as she enjoyed a rise in popularity as a fan favorite, ultimately winning the women’s Money in the Bank match.
That led to a cash-in the same night she claimed the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship for the first time in her career, defeating Ronda Rousey.
She’d go on to successfully defend the championship during a match at SummerSlam several weeks ago, although it didn’t come without controversy or an injury for the champ.
However, becoming the champ has led to all sorts of appearances for Liv, including getting to go sneaker shopping with Complex and tossing out the first pitch at a baseball game.
She’s now headed to WWE’s Clash at the Castle event in Cardiff,...

If you’re a pro wrestling fan, Sarah Logan is a name you’ve probably heard often. The former WWE star made a name for herself after making her debut in 2014. She then became known for being a member of the Riot Squad. Her tough attitude and competitive nature made her fun to watch in any match up. Like countless other Americans, however, Sarah found herself out of a job when Covid-19 began to spread throughout the United States and people were put on lockdown. Although being released from her WWE contract was probably a tough pill to swallow initially, Sarah

Welcome to this week’s review of Monday Night Raw, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and…I have to get something from my closet. I’ll just turn the TalkTech off and be right back. WWE sacrificed 28 wrestlers and backstage talent on Wednesday all in the name of WWE’s stock.
That sounds crude, but it’s true.
WWE announced today that 28 individuals were fired. More full-time employees would be furloughed or laid off and construction on the company’s new headquarters has halted as well. The savings for WWE is about $4 million per month, they bragged in a press release.
That $4 million per month sounds like a lot … until you realize WWE has $90 million in cash on hand and has upwards of $500 million available if they maximized everything and extended all of their credit lines.
The cuts were, of course, blamed on coronavirus.
But make no mistake about it, these cuts were made for one reason and one reason only … to protect WWE’s stock price. The moves were made to protect profit margin. It affected a lot of lower-card talents, some of whom...

WWE tried its best to get away with a pay-per-view that didn’t feature many of its main stars.
It didn’t work.
Elimination Chamber ran last night from Philadelphia, and the show was without Brock Lesnar and Goldberg, the two World Title holders, as well as Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre, the two wrestlers who will challenge for the world titles at WrestleMania next month. Edge and Randy Orton, who are in an intense personal feud for WrestleMania, weren’t on the card and neither was Becky Lynch, the Raw women’s champion, or Bayley, the SmackDown women’s champion.
Imagine WWE running this show in an era where PPV buys actually mattered?
This was a show WWE can get away with in 2020. The PPV buys don’t matter, because WWE already has their money from WWE Network subscriptions. Presenting a lackluster card that people won’t stream isn’t a big deal,...

Match #1: The Street Profits def. Seth Rollins & Murphy (Buddy Murphy) – Raw Tag Team Championship Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Street Profits have never lacked a sense of urgency, but there’s something to be said for putting it in fine print. Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins defeated Seth Rollins & Murphy to win the Raw Tag Team Titles by converting on a crucial “Now or Never” stipulation that would have barred them from future championship matches had they come up short.

The Road to WrestleMania™ has a particularly dangerous stop for WWE Superstars: the “Elimination Chamber” pay-per-view. TheWrap can exclusively unveil the competitors in the women’s Elimination Chamber Match.
Shayna Baszler, Asuka, Ruby Riott, Natalya, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan will square off next month in the titular match at “WWE Elimination Chamber,” we’ve learned. Not only does that sound like a badass match, the stakes inside the perilous cage will be as high as they get: The winner faces Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36 for her Raw Women’s Champion title.

We’re days away from the 2020 WWE “Royal Rumble” pay-per-view, which will conclude with a 30-man over-the-top-rope battle royal.
Who will be the last man standing inside the ring? Well, Las Vegas favors Roman Reigns, despite the fact that Reigns also has a Falls Count Anywhere match with Baron Corbin to get through.
On the sports books’ big boards, the Big Dog is followed by Drew McIntyre, and then it’s a tie between Brock Lesnar and Cm Punk. Reigns and Lesnar have both won the Royal Rumble Match once before, Punk and McIntyre have not.
Lesnar and Punk, who come with 6-to-1 odds each, both have pretty strong cases to Not be good bets. Lesnar, by his own insistence, is entering the squared circle first of 30 spaced-out slots. A battle of 30 women. A battle of 30 men. Two winners are on their way to WrestleMania. So who won and what surprises did we get?
It’s January and now that the holidays are over with and the Wrestle Kingdom has closed it borders, wrestling fans can look forward to the most exciting PPV WWE tends to put out on an annual basis. That’s right, it’s time for WWE Royal Rumble 2020, the show that acts as the beginning to the Road to WrestleMania, but is honestly better to sit through. Introduced in 1988, the Royal Rumble event has been a major cog in the company’s calendar, centered around its mostly-unpredictable 30-man match.
This year’s show will be the third event to feature two Royal Rumble matches. One for the men and one for the women. It just so happens that the men’s match...

So, I’m gonna be reviewing WWE Main Event as it airs in the UK on Thursday nights. I’m not even sure, these days, what day this show airs elsewhere.
Match #1: Dana Brooke vs. Sarah Logan
This week’s show began immediately with Dana Brooke heading to the ring to a decent applause from the crowd. Dana is someone I see improvement in every time I see her. She hasn’t had too many opportunities since heading to the main roster from Nxt, so it’s cool to see her given a shot on Main Event and Raw to show her improvements to the world. The cut above her eye is shown that she suffered in a Main Event match a couple of weeks ago against Sarah Logan. Logan is her opponent tonight too, and she heads to the ring and howls like a wolf. Match #1: WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection, Beth Phoenix & Natalya def. Nia Jax, Tamina & The IIconics The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Is Beth Phoenix’s return from retirement just a nostalgia trip? WWE Universe, it is not. The Glamazon was a house on fire in an Eight-Woman Tag Team Match six days before WrestleMania’s cross-generational Fatal 4-Way for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, and she was a problem for champions and challengers alike in what ended up being her first Raw victory in nearly seven years. Not only did Phoenix go head-on with reigning champions Sasha Banks & Bayley on multiple occasions, she pie-faced Banks off...

Welcome to this week’s Raw review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a lot to get to, so let’s get on with it!
Match #1: Becky Lynch def. Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a Beat the Clock Challenge The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
For all the well-documented disdain among WrestleMania’s newly-minted main-eventers — open Twitter if you dare — Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair’s shared path to their historic moment has been defined primarily by their distance between each other. With Rousey savaging challengers and security guards on Raw and Becky and Charlotte trading barbs on SmackDown Live, it’s been difficult for any competitor to establish the upper hand, so Raw’s Beat the Clock Challenge (short version: fastest victory wins) provided an opportunity for one of these women to separate from the pack.

Welcome to this week’s Raw review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have night of bad talkers cutting promos, so get ready for that. That being said, there are some good things to cover, so let’s do so before Pete Davidson decides to date every super-model on the planet at the same time.
Match #1: Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley & Baron Corbin def. Intercontinental Champion Finn Bálor, Braun Strowman & Kurt Angle The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
There is a difference between a superteam and an actual team, and after a few weeks of dominance, Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin & Bobby Lashley are beginning to look very much like the latter. That ominous development proved to be a problem for the equally-talented-but-less-cohesive collective who opposed them on Raw: Braun Strowman, Kurt Angle & Intercontinental Champion Finn Bálor. True, Angle was muscling the clock backward by sheer force of will.

Match #1: Ricochet & Aleister Black def. Raw Tag Team Champions The Revival The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The hits just keep on coming for The Revival, who clawed their way to the top of the Tag Team division only to find several new boulders hovering precariously over their heads. Last week, Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano checked the new champions, and Dash & Dawson fared no better this week against the other half of the new Nxt contingent, Ricochet & Aleister Black. To their credit, The Revival employed a sound strategy, jumping their opponents before the bell in an attempt to get ahead of their near-uncontrollable foes.

Welcome to this review of WWE’s Elimination Chamber Pay Per View, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have two Elimination Chamber matches, as well as the debut of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. Let’s get right to it.
Buddy Murphy (still champion) defeated Akira Tozawa – WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match
My Take: 3.5 out of 5 – This was pretty damn good. It’s a shame that this thoroughly entertaining was stuck on the pre-show. The action was a good back and forth and it got screwed over by the old WCW method of cutting to the back for an interview while they were still wrestling. Over-all, this was some-thing that deserved the full PPV treatment, but got this instead.
Bayley & Sasha Banks defeated Nia Jax & Tamina, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville, The IIconics and Naomi & Carmella – Elimination Chamber Match For The WWE...

Match #1: Nia Jax & Tamina def. The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection and Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan — Sasha Banks & Bayley will enter first into the Elimination Chamber The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
If The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection are the sentimental favorites to become the first-ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, the betting odds might no longer be in their favor: Thanks to a Triple Threat loss on Raw, Sasha Banks & Bayley drew the dreaded No. 1 entry into the Elimination Chamber this Sunday, meaning they’ll have to walk the longest, hardest road possible to reach the historic benchmark. Match #1: Ronda Rousey def. Liv Morgan The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
If there’s one Superstar who’s angrier at Becky Lynch’s suspension than The Man, it’s Ronda Rousey. The Raw Women’s Champion was fighting mad after her WrestleMania challenger got herself sent to the bench, as the suspension could have repercussions on their match. The Riott Squad, then, played the unlucky role of Rousey’s personal punching bags, with The Baddest Woman on the Planet quickly submitting Liv Morgan.

Six men entered a dangerous cage to do battle...over a belt made out of hemp. Wrestling is weird sometimes.
On the Road to WrestleMania, the peanut butter to Royal Rumble’s jelly is Elimination Chamber. So before Fastlane and WrestleMania 35 hit us, we have to get through WWE Elimination Chamber 2019. While the Elimination Chamber match type has been around since 2002, the show itself started in 2010 as a renamed version of No Way Out. This one intends to be a special kind of installment due to introducing the women’s tag team championship.
The Chamber match itself is based on four wrestlers (or tag teams) hanging out in special pods, surrounded by a cage. Two others battle it out and every few minutes, a new opponent will be released from one of the pods. Pins and submissions are in play, but otherwise, everything goes.

Three women. Two titles. Winner take all. We have the results of all 16 WrestleMania 35 matches!
With Royal Rumble left in the dust, Elimination Chamber hung up, and Fastlane behind us, that means that WrestleMania 35 is on the horizon! WWE’s biggest show has been a staple since the 80s and has given us plenty of fantastic moments. From the days of King Kong Bundy crushing Special Delivery Jones in mere seconds to Braun Strowman pulling a child out of the crowd to help him win the tag titles, WrestleMania has been the wrestling show with the brightest spotlight.
Then again, the Raw and SmackDown after it are way better. The Nxt TakeOver show the night before is pretty much superior too. The Hall of Fame ceremony...? Eh.
Here are the complete WrestleMania 35 results...

Welcome to this year’s Tribute To The Troops review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have… a lazy card to honor a bunch of people that deserve better than this. Let’s whip out a big ol’ salute to people who are forced to wear camouflage as we run through this Tribute To The Troops.
Match #1: Ronda Rousey & Natalya def. Nia Jax & Tamina and Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
The opening contest of Tribute to the Troops featured a Women’s division Tag Team showdown between three tandems, Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey & Natalya against Nia Jax & Tamina against Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan of The Riott Squad. In the height of the hard-fought showdown, The Baddest Woman of the Planet triumphed for her team when she locked in the double armbar on Logan & Morgan to make them both tap-out.

Welcome to this week’s review of WWE Raw… The first Raw following the controversial (and frankly stupid) Crown Jewel pay per view, taking place just down the road from Nerdly HQ in Manchester, England. And of course the WWE is now building to the next PPV, Survivor Series.
Match #1: Sasha Banks, Bayley & Natalya vs. The Riott Squad ended in a No Contest The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
If Alexa Bliss wants a Survivor Series team that has the in-ring aspect of competition down pat, the discussion might begin and end with Sasha Banks, Bayley & Natalya. But The Riott Squad came into the WWE Evolution rematch with an advantage that’s even rarer: A vicious shamelessness that cost them a victory, but still left the Squad’s opponents thoroughly demoralized after they destroyed something too precious to be quantified. That object was a good-luck charm Natalya carried...

Welcome to this week’s review of WWE Raw… An episode full of surprises and sadness.
Match #1: Finn Balor def. Bobby Lashley The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
If anyone ever doubted that Finn Bálor is The Extraordinary Man Who Does Extraordinary Things, consider his accomplishment on Raw — perhaps the most unlikely achievement he’s ever recorded: He got Lio Rush to stop talking. How did Finn pull it off? The only way one gets Lio Rush to drop the mic these days: He defeated Bobby Lashley. That, of course, was extraordinary in and of itself, given that The Rocky Mountain-Made Machine’s revamped attitude has rendered him near-unstoppable over the last few weeks, and his constant disrespect of Bálor seemed to be reminiscent of the kind of demoralization that befell Kevin Owens and Tyler Breeze.
As it turns out, Lashley might have been better off not to brush Bálor aside.

Match #1: Finn Bálor def. Jinder Mahal The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
Next week, Finn Bálor & Bayley (aka Team B&B) will make their Mixed Match Challenge debut, while Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox (aka Mahalicia) will suit up tomorrow. If what happened on Raw is any indication, the latter duo might have their work cut out for them, as a remarkable combination of events left Mahal defeated in both body and mind, briefly shattering The Maharaja’s hard-won serenity before he pulled himself together. To begin, there was the tension between Alicia and Sunil Singh in Mahal’s corner, which threw off the delicate balance that The Modern Day Maharaja works so hard to maintain. Then,...

WWE wrestler Liv Morgan got legit knocked out Monday night on “Raw,” when one of Brie Bella’s “Yes!” kicks inadvertently caught her in the head. Morgan suffered a concussion, a WWE insider told TheWrap, and she is currently going through the protocol under WWE’s wellness program.
When Morgan collapsed on the canvas, Bella went for the cover to seemingly end the live-tv match early. Morgan appeared to instinctively — and weakly — kick out of the pin.
Bella then pulled Morgan to the opposing Riott Squad corner, where teammates Ruby Riott tagged herself in and Sarah Logan pulled Morgan out of the ring. Morgan could not stay on her feet.

Match #1: Nicki Bella def. Ruby Riott The following is courtesy of WWE.com
Following a petty act of locker-room vandalism, Nikki Bella knocked off Ruby Riott in a singles victory that built nicely upon The Bella Twins’ win over Ruby’s two henchwomen, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan. That Nikki used her powerhouse style to get past Ruby’s wild brawling would be impressive enough, but given that The Riott Squad was lurking at ringside, the former Divas Champion kept having to turn her attention to her would-be interlopers. A haymaker made quick work of Logan on the apron,...

The WWE roster put on a massive show in Australia, headlined by Undertaker and Triple H's final battle. Here are the results.
We’re in this bizarre state where WWE gets offered tons of money by various countries to put on random, huge PPVs and they do so because, hey, green is green. Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia gave us The Greatest Royal Rumble and now Australia is giving us the less problematic WWE Super Show-Down. It’s a packed card, but if it’s anything like Greatest Royal Rumble, it’ll mean that it’ll be on at an awkward time and a lot of its matches won’t really mean much in the long run.
At least WWE Hell in a Cell is over with because between that show, this show, and WWE Evolution, the company was hyping up three different PPVs at once.

Match #1: The Bella Twins def. The Riott Squad The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
Only one night into The Bella Twins’ comeback run, and it’s already time for a Bellabration. Nikki & Brie knocked off The Riott Squad in the twins’ first match on Raw in almost three years, and the two former Divas Champions were in rare form from the second the bell rang. With Nikki leading a coordinated attack on Sarah Logan’s shoulders and Brie raining “Yes!” kicks on her sternum, it took a ringside interference from Ruby Riott to give the Squad its first leg up of the match. Brie found herself isolated by Morgan & Logan, but a last-second tag brought a red-hot Nikki back into the fray.
