Tom Hanks is returning to the big screen in the drama-thriller Captain Phillips, sailing into theaters on Oct. 11 The two-time Oscar winner spoke to E! News about the difficult conditions he faced filming at sea at the New York Film Festival premiere on Friday, Sept. 27. "This was a very environmental movie," the 57-year-old actor said. "The ship we were shooting on was loaded with all the inconveniences of being on a ship at sea. The engine room stank and there were a lot of, there was a lot of rusty things that you could bonk your head on. The scenes on the lifeboats were not much easier. "Once we were shooting in the life boat, it really was the dimensions and size, smell and...

Star Trek Into Darkness hits UK cinemas next Thursday 9th May and earlier today I was lucky enough to sit down with Producer Bryan Burk and Writer / Producer Damon Lindel to talk about their brand new movie.
I focus a lot of the interview on the need to change the look and feel of some of the elements of the movie but their answers were spot on and as a Next Generation nut, I was pleased to hear why the decisions were made for change and how they need to drive the franchise forward. I also ask about when we can expect to see Star Trek back on the small screen after a six year absence.
With the news that J.J. Abrams is set to direct the next Star Wars movie, I was keen to find out from Bryan Burk what Paramount thought of the matter, how it will affect...

Let me start off by saying something that may make some of you spit your drink at the screen but……I don’t like Jj Abrams. I didn’t like Lost, Fringe or any of the films that have had his name on the poster. I could go into detail why but that is for another article.
So when it was announced that he was taking the helm of the Star Trek franchise, my initial reaction was to break into a cold sweat and hyperventilate. Ive always been a huge fan of Star Trek and to read that Jj Abrams (who quite openly said he didn’t like Star Trek) was in the directors chair, well it was very worrying.
When I saw the film, to my surprise I did enjoy it and I understood why some of the drastic changes were made in order to make it more appealing to a mainstream audience.

Matt Damon, Morgan Freeman, and Francois Pienaar held a press conference for their new film "Invictus." The title Invictus comes from a poem written by poet William Ernest Henley in 1875. It was this poem which inspired Nelson Mandela to have hope for a wounded nation while imprisoned on Robben Island. The film centers around the newly elected Mandela, a racially and economically split nation, and Mandela's struggle in uniting his people through sport during the 1995 World Cup of rugby. In this press conference Matt Damon, Morgan Freeman, and Francois Pienaar (the actual Rugby star which the film is based on), talk about how they prepared on playing real people, working with director Clint Eastwood, about rugby and on set injuries, on why the story was so important that it had to be told. Francois Pineaar also elaborated on his thoughts on the film, his relationship with Nelson Mandela, and...

From director Clint Eastwood, “Invictus” tells the inspiring true story of how Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) joined forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team, Francois Pienaar (Matt Damon), to help unite their country.
Newly elected President Mandela knows his nation remains racially and economically divided in the wake of apartheid. Believing he can bring his people together through the universal language of sport, Mandela rallies South Africa’s underdog rugby team as they make an unlikely run to the 1995 World Cup Championship match.
MoviesOnline sat down this weekend with Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman at the Los Angeles press day for “Invictus” to talk about their new film. Here’s what they had to tell us about how they researched their roles, what it was like working with Clint Eastwood, and why this was an important story to tell:
