Mr. Belvedere was an ABC sitcom that aired from 1985-1990. The series centered around an English butler who takes a job working for an American family in suburban Pittsburgh.
The TV show was based on the 1947 novel Belvedere by Gwen Davenport. The novel was turned into a film in 1948, Sitting Pretty, and its two sequels, Mr. Belvedere Goes to College (1949) and Mr. Belvedere Rings the Bell (1951).
The series was never a huge hit but did well enough to last five seasons.
What was ‘Mr. Belvedere’ about?

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly… We’re apparently on the road to Wrestlemania so let’s get into it!
Match #1: Kevin Owens def. Solo Sikoa (Dq) The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Realizing he must carry out the serious directive of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso attacked Kevin Owens in the height of Ko’s match against Solo Sikoa and brought a sudden end to the contest by disqualification. The 2-on-1 beat down by Jimmy and Solo continued outside the ring and onto the announce table until Sami Zayn emerged and unleashed a wild onslaught to save Owens. Nevertheless, when Sami extended his hand to help his one-time friend up, Owens once again denied him.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Bianca Belair def. Carmella The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Match #1: Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa def. The Street Profits The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After the turbulent events of Friday’s SmackDown, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso stood with Solo Sikoa to claim The Bloodline is as strong as ever without Jey Uso anywhere in sight. They were soon interrupted by The Street Profits, and it wasn’t long before the two tandems engaged in a pre-match brawl. In the subsequent matchup, The Street Profits used tag team precision against Jimmy. They didn’t realize, however, that Solo was actually the legal Superstar. After launching Ford off the top rope to the ringside floor, Sikoa blasted Dawkins with the Samoan Spike for the three-count.

No WWE star has ever been nominated for an Emmy Award for their work within the company, but Paul Heyman wants to change that with Roman Reigns.
Heyman has been working with Reigns as his “special counsel” (and now “wise man”) since Reigns debuted his Tribal Chief persona back in 2020. As Heyman sees it, Reigns’ work since then puts him in the same league as actors like Bryan Cranston or James Gandolfini in that he has crafted a “layered, nuanced persona.”
“I will honestly state that I’ll put Roman Reigns and his portrayal of the Tribal Chief up against anybody right now in how he has approached a reality-based character of the top star of the industry,” Heyman tells Variety. “And the fact that he’s not recognized by the people that are there to reward such performances with an award, to me, is disconcerting.”

The Royal Rumble, emanating from the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX, took in 7.7 million on Saturday night. That is up approximately 57 over the previous record, which was set by the 2017 Royal Rumble with 4.9 million.
Per WWE, the event was also up 52 in viewership from the previous record in 2022. The company also claims merchandise sales were up 135 from the 2022 record, while sponsorship was up nearly 200 compared to 2022.
The 2023 Royal Rumble featured a number of notable moments, including Gunther setting a new record for longest time in a men’s Royal Rumble battle royal match at over one hour, 11 minutes. Match #1: Rey Mysterio def. Karrion Kross The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Wanting to shut down Rey Mysterio for good, Karrion Kross seeked to eradicate The Master of the 619 from the WWE Universe. Kross used his size advantage from the off-set, trying to wrench Mysterio’s mask from his face. Mysterio would utilize the other side of the size discrepancy, using his quickness to hit a huge splash for a two count. In the end Mysterio’s agility proved key, putting away Kross with a crucifix pin.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Lacey Evans vs. Jazmin Allure The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Dominik Mysterio, sporting sunglasses after Asuka’s blue mist attack from last week, had his eyes injured yet again after Tozawa threw liquid into his eyes. Match #1: Ricochet def. Mustafa Ali The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The first round of the SmackDown World Cup on Fox Tournament continued as two of the biggest high-flyers in Mustafa Ali and Ricochet battled on the ground and in the air. Ali, already nursing injuries stemming from the beatdown he suffered at the hands of Bobby Lashley on Monday Night Raw, clearly was not at 100 percent but still took the fight to Ricochet. Top-rope offense, including a backstabber and a superplex, put Ricochet in complete control, and it continued with a Michinoku driver on the outside of the ring. A valiant Ali nearly caught Ricochet with a 450 splash, but Ricochet rolled out of the way and finished off Ali with a shooting star press.

After Solo Sikoa’s backstage attack last week, The One and Only & Madcap Moss came up short in a tag team match against The Street Champion & Sami Zayn. The dangerous Sikoa took advantage of a distraction by The Honorary Uce to fire a chair at an advancing Ricochet and hurl him into the timekeeper area. Match #1: United States Championship Match – Bobby Lashley def. Seth “Freakin” Rollins The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Bobby Lashley has been defending the United States Championship in stellar matches for nearly two months, and this one was no different. Early in the match, Seth “Freakin” Rollins went for the Stomp, but Lashley shrugged it off by preventing him from fully driving Lashley into the mat. Rollins showcased a magnitude of strength of his own, planting Lashley with the buckle bomb. As Lashley was about to Spear The Visionary out of his boots, Rollins shockingly countered with a wicked Pedigree, earning a close two-count. Matt Riddle suddenly charged the ring and provided a distraction, which allowed Lashley to hit the decisive Spear on Rollins.

Coming off of a hot streak with WrestleMania 38 and WrestleMania Backlash, WWE now approaches an event that has struggled in recent years. Hell in a Cell has been in danger of damaging the legacy of the iconic match type, inserting it into feuds, rather than it organically being used for the right reasons. However, this year’s event featured just one Cell match on the card, and one that look set to rock the house…little did we know exactly what would happen. Here is what went down at Hell in a Cell 2022.
On the kick-off, Breaking news is addressed of an injury suffered by Cody Rhodes, as he tore his pectoral muscle off the bone in training but is determined to enter Hell in a Cell later tonight with Seth Rollins. Is this a work? Is it real? We shall see…

“SmackDown Live” Superstar Kevin Owens will “Fight Anyone,” according to his WWE merch. At the upcoming pay-per-view “Money in the Bank,” he’ll battle WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, whom Owens turned on rather quickly after a short-lived alliance.
Once again a heel (the pro-wrestling term for a bad guy), K.O. tells TheWrap that wearing the white hat — and at times, a New Day unicorn antler — was probably a bit too short-lived for his liking.
“I wish I would have been able to stay on the other side of the fence a little longer, to be honest,” Owens told us ahead of Tuesday’s “SmackDown” episode. “I don’t think anybody’s really seen me as a babyface ever, or, like, the way that I envision myself being. I don’t think people have any idea what I can do on the other side. But, you know, what’s done is done.

I’m Nathan Favel and welcome to my first Impact Wrestling review for Nerdly. As I recently spoke of in my “Opinionated” column concerning the former Tna Wrestling, I have a genuine interest in seeing this company succeed, even if that is just as a good old wrestling fan. With the WWE being more stagnant than ever, it’s important to have another wrestling league survive and thrive. Featuring incredible action, even during the most dire straits that this promotion has ever seen, Tna/Impact has managed to build a unique legacy in professional wrestling that will never be duplicated, for better or for worse. It’s my pleasure to write these reviews for Impact. Let’s jump right into the action!

1. Cody Rhodes is set to debut for Tna at their Bound for Glory Pay Per View. It’s the second big company he’s set to work for this year as he’s already been committed to Ring of Honor for their Pay Per View in December, Final Battle. What’s interesting about the Tna gig is that due to WWE holding the legal rights to the Rhodes name in his case, he can only go by Cody. Time will tell if he’s able to show folks he’s capable of stepping up his game to become a main event talent.
2. Awesome Kong, or as she was known in WWE, Kharma, has landed a role in the new Netflix show Glow as reported by ProWrestlingSheet.com. She’s set to play a more comedic role than what we’ve seen of her in the ring so that should be interesting to see.

1.This week on Roh Television, the main event for their Pay Per View event Death Before Dishonor was announced. Nigel McGuinness stated Adam Cole would face long time champion Jay Lethal for the Roh World Heavyweight Championship. The lead up to this match has been spotty at best which is really disappointing. Adam Cole joined with the Bullet Club faction at the Roh event Global Wars, finally giving a showcase to a performer who is on his way to becoming a big deal in the business. Over the past three weeks, he and the Young Bucks tag team, Matt and Nick Jackson, have been wrecking havoc on Ring of Honor television, including viciously taking out Kyle O’Reilly a couple weeks back after a match with Jay Lethal and last week shaving Jay Lethal bald. Another year, another WrestleMania, and once again the WWE have put together their undeniably impressive Showcase of the Immortals, this year in Dallas, Texas.
Kicking off, as it did last year, with a seven man ladder match for the Intercontinental Title, Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Sami Zayn, Stardust, Sin Cara and Zack Ryder put on a great match, delivering plenty of bumps and really setting the seeds for the ongoing Owens / Zayn feud now that both men are established on the main roster.
Next up was Aj Styles’s Mania debut against Chris Jericho, with both men giving their all but not quite creating the synergy that might be expected from two top performers. That said, Styles was impressive and will surely be a lot higher up the bill for Wm Xxxiii next year.

WWE’s annual Extreme Rules PPV always finds itself full of gimmick matches such as table matches, ladder matches, street fights and things of that nature, so it’s no surprise that the 2016 version of Extreme Rules is also full of these types of matches. Sometimes it can result in overkill, other times it can result in an entertaining event. Let’s hope this event ticks the entertaining option.

So, the post-WrestleMania PPV, Payback, has happened (over a week ago now) and it was a night of good, bad and in-between but it was fresh and had a feel of something new, like WWE are making an effort to build new stars (finally).
Results: Kick-Off Show: Kalisto retained his Us Title against Ryback Kick-Off Show: Dolph Ziggler beat Baron Corbin The Vaudevillains and Enzo & Big Cass went to a no-contest Kevin Owens pinned Sami Zayn The Miz beat Cesaro to retain his I-c Title Dean Ambrose beat Chris Jericho Charlotte retained her Women’s Title against Natalya via ref stoppage Roman Reigns successfully defended his World Title against Aj Styles
The PPV started with the Kick-Off show. The Corbin/Ziggler match felt like a typical television match and featured Ziggler bumping around for Corbin. Strangely, Ziggs won the match. The other Kick-Off match was much better than expected.

After 15 years in the wrestling ring and five trips to WrestleMania as a member of the audience, Kevin Owens finally made it to the big stage Sunday night in front of a record 101,763,000 fans at At&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. “I always thought I would end up here somehow — it took a little longer than I thought but now that I am here, I feel like belong,” Owens, whose real name is Kevin Steen, told TheWrap on Saturday. The next day, the 31-year-old Canadian competed in the Intercontinental Championship Ladder match at WrestleMania 32, taking on The Miz, Dolph Ziggler,...

Kevin Owens was originally scheduled to retain his WWE Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 32 last night.
A surprising booking decision was instead made for Zack Ryder to win his first Ic title despite years of being stuck in the wilderness of the roster and looking likely to be released at any given moment.
There’s no confirmation yet as to when exactly the finish was changed but sources told F4Wonline.com that the finishes for last night’s show weren’t finalised until as late as 4pm – 5pm local time.
We should note that one WhatCulture.com employee kept track of the latest betting odds for Sunday night’s show and noticed a dramatic fall of Zack Rnyder’s odds of winning which went from 66/1 to an incredible 1/5 in no time. Huge insider money from someone in the know must have been put on Ryder for the odds...

The boos will ring out the world over if WWE simply book Roman Reigns to defeat Triple H valiantly and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion tonight. As a babyface, Reigns has been an aberration, albeit one at the mercy of some seriously mundane booking.
Fans expect more than a simple firework-laden babyface conclusion to WrestleMania this year, and there’s only one solution. Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker is the scenario with more intrigue, so that must go on last. Hell In A Cell is still a stipulation taken seriously by fans, and there’s the feeling that something big is going to happen in that match.
There must be big bumps, there has to be blood, and every match on the card must hit a home run. People also expect more than mere ‘Guest Host’ roles for the likes of The Rock and Steve Austin.
