If these New 52 Volume 2s are anything to go by, DC should be called Enemies of Good Comics as Stormwatch, Volume 2: Enemies of Earth, sees the series that started off so promisingly completely drop the ball in just their second outing!
Stormwatch are basically The Authority, a superhero team from the ‘00s featuring Superman/Batman facsimiles Apollo and Midnighter (who’re also gay lovers), Angie the Engineer who’s swapped out her blood for liquid technology enabling her to manifest any machine she can imagine, Jack Hawksmoor who can talk to and control cities, and Jenny Quantum a 12 year old who is the literal manifestation of the zeitgeist or spirit of the age. Also included for some reason is J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter.

Marvel Knights Animation has dropped some details on their latest Marvel comics animated adaptation, Inhumans, while Universal has released the details on the upcoming blu-ray release of This is 40. All the details you could possibly want are inside!
Let's start with Inhumans, from Marvel Knights Animation and Shout! Factory. Marvel has a lot of different comic book properties and not all of them can be made into full on feature films, thus, they have the animated features. I'm kind of cheating by including this in Blu Crew, because it's only coming to DVD, but hey, I think it'll be okay. It comes to store shelves on April 23, 2013. Here's the full press release for all the details:
This spring, Marvel fans will have the chance to journey into the intriguing, millennia-old city of Attilan where the extraordinary Super-powered race of Inhumans reside. Developed by the acclaimed Eisner Award-winning team of Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee,...

If you weren't paying close attention to movie news today, you may have missed the single greatest casting scoop in a very long time and the most interesting Kellan Lutz-related news ever.
Deadline had the exclusive on a brand new project from the "Twilight" star and comic book creators Paul Jenkins and Rob Prior. "Tatua" is an indie film with a very, very high concept. It tells the story of a man (Lutz) who has a special kind of blood that allows him to get powerful tattoos. These tattoos can be pulled off of his body and used as weapons for covert assassinations.
The logline, frankly, leaves our minds racing with possible tattoos, so we decided to break it down to the five pieces of body art that are absolutely necessary for Lutz's character.

With The Twilight Saga officially over (at least for now), its stars are moving on to other projects, hoping that the screaming chicks follow. Next up for Kellan Lutz? A role as a supernatural assassin in a flick called Tatua.
According to Deadline, Lutz has signed to star in the indie genre flick that's based on an original concept by comic book creators Paul Jenkins and Rob Prior. Tatua is about a man with a rare blood type that allows him to be tattooed with a powerful ink. He is able to pull those weapons straight off his skin, giving him an enviable leg up as a covert assassin.
Aaron Sims, the vfx wiz who helmed the viral sensation short Archetype (see below), is set to make his directing debut on the film, says Rick Schwartz, whose Overnight Productions has lined up the financing for a March production start in Toronto.

Kellan Lutz is among the cast members that skyrocketed to superstardom because of the Twilight Saga series. Now that the series is over, the hottest vampire in the pack needs to capitalize on his fame quickly before it fades away and has found a new potential franchise to sink his teeth into.
Twilight star has signed on to star in the indie genre flick Tatua, which is based off an original idea from the comic book by Paul Jenkins and Rob Prior.
Lutz will star as a covert assassin that has a rare blood type that lets him be tattooed with a powerful ink, which he can then pull off of his skin and use as real objects, but given that the various lethal items are culled from a combo of blood, he must use the weapons quickly, before they dissolve. Things get awkward when his son is kidnapped.

Kellan Lutz has signed to star in Aaron Sims' $15 million indie genre film "Tatua" based on an original concept by comic book creators Paul Jenkins and Rob Prior.
Paul Layden penned the script which follows a man with a rare blood type that allows him to be tattooed with a mystical ink.
As a result, he is able to pull lethal weapons straight off his skin which gives him an enviable leg up as a covert assassin. However, doing so weakens him physically in the process - not to mention the weapons dissolve quickly.
Soon the assassin’s son is kidnapped by one of his most notoriously violent targets. Shooting kicks off in March in Toronto.

Assassins with tattoos are seemingly ten-a-penny, but what about a killer whose body ink can be used to create weapons he plucks from his skin? Yeah, now you’re interested. So is Twilight alumnus Kellan Lutz, who has agreed to play just such an armed type in Tatua. Developed from an original concept by comic book creators Paul Jenkins and Rob Prior, Tatua will see Lutz as a man with a rare blood type that allows him to be tattooed with special ink. The weapons drawn on his skin can then be pulled off and used. But there’s a caveat: given that the various lethal items are culled from a combo of blood, adrenaline and the ink, they must be used quickly as they start to dissolve. And it goes without saying that the process is not an easy one for the man himself. But he puts the pain...

He is able to pull those weapons straight off his skin, giving him an enviable leg up as a covert assassin... The concept certainly is unusual, as the tattooed weapons are culled from the combination of the ink, the character.s blood and adrenaline. They must be used quickly or they begin to dissolve, and the whole process takes a toll on the body of the assassin. All this becomes an afterthought when the assassin.s son is kidnapped by one of his most notoriously violent targets." The site adds that Aaron Sims,...

Dear Wizard World,
You are making Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino into a comic book hero?! Let's try that again...you're turning the secretly almost 40 year old member of The Jersey Shore...the most hated character on the show...the same dude who knocked himself out slamming his head into a wall. This guy right?
What exactly is heroic about The Situation? His respect for other women? His ability to get completely wasted? It must be his charm right? Is it this?
Sorry to say you made a bone headed move, but this is a "situation" not even Paul Jenkins can write his way out of. Granted The Situation would not be the first playboy hero to find redemption by becoming a hero...but let's face facts. How many superheroes have herpes? How many superheroes are paid not to endorse a certain line of clothing? What the $#@% is wrong with you?...

Well...the artwork is pretty good at least! My God, this is actually happening. And look at the talent involved - the team of artists and writers collaborating on the effort include Eisner Award winning writer Paul Jenkins (Wolverine: Origins, Batman, Hulk, Spider-Man), pencil and inks by Talent Caldwell (Superman, X-Men, G.I. Joe), and coloring by Paul Mounts (Avengers, Ultimate X-Men, Wolverine, and Thor). I'm just curious as to what adventures our hero is going to be getting into. Some gym time, a session in the tanning booth, drunken sex with Snookie? You can find out soon enough, as the first issue is due on shelves in time for Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, August 9-12, at which Sorrentino will make his first appearance in support of the new project.

When DC relaunched their entire publishing line last Autumn they rebooted decades worth of continuity, much to the annoyance of some fanboys, especially when they boldly – and perhaps mistakenly – stated that in this ‘new’ verison of the DC universe the Justice League had only been around for about five years. Holy blashphemy, Bat-fans! What would this mean for such seminal stories as The Killing Joke, The Knightfall Saga or the entirety of Grant Morrison’s franchise-defining run ? Surely they wouldn’t be forgotten, lost to the continuity eraser that is DC’s ruthless editorial team?
Well, at least for the Batman franchise, it seems that The New 52 has altered very little! As we learned within the first month of the relaunch, the Joker still shot Batgirl, Batman Incorporated remains fully functional and now, in The New 52′s sixth month, we learn that Bane – he who broke the Bat – did in fact still break the Bat,...

If Starbreeze’s 2007 release The Darkness was a grim and brooding opera, fraught with love, loss, betrayal and revenge, then Digital Extreme’s 2012 release The Darkness II is somewhat of a Hollywood action sequel. Refined, more visceral, far less pensive but ultimately satisfying. This sequel both benefits and suffers from this pithier re-imagining of the formulae.
Though five years and a studio change have gone by reality side, for Jackie Estacado, the begrudging host of ultimate murderous evil ‘The Darkness’, it’s been a quiet two year stint bottling up the demon within and taking his seat as Don, in one of the New York crime families. Not a minute after the story picks up however things begin to go proverbially awry and Jackie is forced to unleash his demonic abilities in order to survive an attack against his life. Before you go any further, there are Spoilers Ahead. Last month, Batman: The Dark Knight #1 saw Two-Face "Hulk Out" and now the same applies for The Joker at the end of the second issue! As the guys over at Inside Pulse point out, this is somewhat confusing, especially as the conclusion of Detective Comics #1 last month saw The Joker without a face! (or so it seems...) Anyway, here's the Clown Prince of Crime in all his "Hulked Out" glory. Of course, as you'll know if you've read the issue, this does eventually wear off. Still, it doesn't explain what's up with his face! Batman: The Dark Knight by Paul Jenkins and David Finch is a fun enough title, although definitely the weakest of all the relaunched Bat books. (it's sort of how you would imagine a Batman movie in the hands of Michael Bay - brainless and action packed) What...

Digital Spy report that two of Marvel's newer titles, Alpha Flight and Iron Man 2.0 have been cancelled. The solicitations for January 2012 point to an end for the two comics (as well as Paul Jenkins' All-Winners Squad) and while the end of the Nick Spencer penned series focusing on the adventures of War Machine may not come as that big of a surprise, no one was expecting the end of Alpha Flight after it was only just recently revealed at the FanExpo in Toronto that it had been upgraded to an ongoing series. "Fans and friends, I'm sorry to confirm that Alpha Flight will indeed end with issue #8," co-writer Greg Pak tweeted earlier this week. "The book was originally conceived as an 8-issue mini, so we're still telling the big, fun story we intended from the start." There has not yet been any official word on why either of...

David Finch has teased several details about his new DC Comics series Batman: The Dark Knight, including what his role will be moving forward. Finch serves as artist and co-writer on the 'New 52' title alongside Paul Jenkins, and promised a fresh start following his original Batman: The Dark Knight series earlier this year. "We are going in a different direction in Volume 2," Finch told IGN Comics. "Volume 2 is a kid in a candy store Batman. It's Batman with no limits and everything that I could possibly want to draw. I just wanted to take the lid off of the book." Finch confirmed that while he served as the main plotter (more)...

Batman: The Dark Knight #1 by Paul Jenkins and David Finch arrives today and deals with Batman attempting to cull a riot and break out at Arkham Asylum. Unfortunately one of Bats' long time foes seems to have undergone a bit of a change which might not bode so well for the Caped Crusader. Bleeding Cool have provided the following image. Once again, Spoiler Warning.. So Two-Face has "Hulked out" and now wants to be called One-Face. That is pretty damn silly I'm sure you will agree. Of course we have no way of knowing if this change is going to be a long running thing or just a brief "Jekyll and Hyde" type transformation. Be sure to pick up the issue to find out. Oh yes, I should address the "Batty Boy" thing too, Teabag will anyway! Not sure if you are aware but that is a derogatory term used...

It was surprising to say the least when 2K games announced it was working on a sequel to The Darkness. Whilst the 2007 game was well received by critics, it seemed to split the opinions of those who played it, especially those unfamiliar with the dark graphic novel on which it was based. Many loved its dark atmosphere and faithfulness to the comic; yet others were baffled by a game which involved demonically possessed mobsters, WW1 and bizarrely, the 1962 film To Kill a Mockingbird in its entirety.
Launching a sequel to such a divisive title, especially after four years seems like a risky move. Especially when you take into account that 2K is launching the game this October, a month packed with titles as hugely anticipated as Battlefield 3 and Batman Arkam City. This is probably why 2K was keen to stress that the Darkness II not only addresses issues of the first game,...

The writer last penned a DC comic book back in 2005, but will return to the company this September to launch a five-issue Deadman arc - the new anthology series DC Comics Presents. "I relish the opportunity to be able to go back to DC after having been away for quite some time." Jenkins' work at Marvel Comics included runs on Spectacular Spider-Man and Son of Hulk, as well as creating controversial character The Sentry.
