Rose Matafeo has left This Morning viewers baffled by performing on stage with Franz Ferdinand.
The Scottish rock band performed on Friday’s episode (7 October) of the ITV show as they celebrated their 20th anniversary.
However, viewers were left confused as they spotted comedian and Starstruck creator Matafeo standing among the band during their interview.
Mid-interview, host Alison Hammond said: “You’ve got a special guest over there, is that Rose?”
“I won a competition, I wrote into a magazine,” Matafeo replied, with frontman Alex Kapranos saying: “Julian [Corrie] couldn’t make it today.”
“We heard you were banned,” O’Leary said, with Matafeo replying: “No, I just used a different name when I entered the competition… I’m keeping a low profile.”
The New Zealand comic then joined the band on guitar for their rendition of hit song “Take Me Out”.
“Hang on…was that actually Rose Matafeo on Guitar with Franz Ferdinand?...

A brand new Netflix show has just broken the world record for the most jump scares in a single episode.
The horror series, which is available to stream now, has been presented with the Guinness World Record after earning the achievement.
This is certainly good press for the new show, which is called The Midnight Club.
It comes from co-creator Mike Flanagan, whose previous projects for Netflix include The Haunting of Hill House, its follow-up The Haunting of Bly Manor and 2021’s Midnight Mass.
Flanagan has also directed the films Hush and the adaptation of Stephen King’s sequel to The Shining, titled Doctor Sleep.
The irony of the world record is that Flanagan has been vocal about his dislike of jump scares in the past.
“My whole career I completely s*** on jump scares as a concept, and I wanted to make sure it was pinned to me, too,...

"It is always very exciting to be invited to think outside the box and wrestle with stimulating ideas." Yep. There's a new film by the great Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos premiering this month! But it's just a short film, not a new feature (he's already working on an adaptation of Pop. 1280 next). Following the ten Academy Awards nominations (and one win!) for The Favourite, Lanthimos made this short titled Nimic. It's premiering at the Locarno Film Festival this month and it will hopefully get a release soon. Matt Dillon plays a professional cellist who has an encounter with a stranger on the subway, which has unexpected and far-reaching ramifications on his life. The cast includes Daphné Patakia, Susan Elle, Sara Lee, Eugena Lee, Rowan Kay, Anvo Kyle, Lizzy Ceniceros, Florencia Mariotti, and Jeffrey Raines. The short runs 12 minutes and was produced by Rekorder Berlin. The film is described as...
