Dracula Untold, inspired by Bram Stoker’s seminal work of fiction, provides an origin story of the man who became the blood-sucking monster.
Directed by Gary Shore, Dracula Untold dares to give a humanizing backstory for one of the most infamous literay monsters. Working from a script penned by Mark Sazama and Burk Sharpless, Shore helms a movie that blends a sinister gothic tale with comic book blockbuster sensibilities. Starring Luke Evans in the titular role, formerly known as Vlad Tepes, Dracula Untold shows a loving father attempting to do battle with supernatural forces while trying – and failing – to keep them from corrupting his own person.

Dracula Untold has been more or less panned by film critics. While they largely agree that the visuals the film provides are impressive, the substance is sorely lacking. The movie is blasted for how it went about giving Dracula an impetus for his actions,...

Guardians of the Galaxy, a space adventure pulled from the Marvel universe, follows cosmos adventurer Peter Quill aka Star Lord as he tries to keep a powerful orb out of the hands of villains with a band of unlikely allies.
Joining Chris Pratt’s affable Star Lord is the green-skinned assassin Gamora (Zoe Saldana), machine-gun wielding raccoon Rocket (Bradley Cooper), tree-like humanoid Groot (Vin Diesel) and Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista). Together, the interplanetary misfits endeavor to keep the orb from Ronan, who plans to destroy planets with the device.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Reviews
Critics across the board have praised Guardians of the Galaxy for its pure entertainment value. The film doesn’t try to be more or less than it is – a space comic in which in place of superheroes are a rodent and a tree that utters just one phrase: “I am Groot.” Special compliments are given to Pratt,...

The first 300 was an uncompromising paean to glorious graphic-novel imagery, infused with music-video sensibility and CGI magic. Zack Snyder’s adaptation of Frank Miller’s bloody tale, which chronicles the Spartans’ noble defeat at Thermopylae in 480 B.C., splattered the box office in 2007, grossing $201.6 million and making Gerard Butler’s abs more famous than Gerard Butler. 300: Rise of the Empire is a prequel, sequel, and side-quel to that tale.

So says The Philadelphia Inquirer’s David Hiltbrand. In large part that’s because “Public Relations” offers an unobstructed look into what passes for Don Draper’s soul. And the view ain’t pretty.

What does Susan Boyle have to do to gain respect? The initial YouTube video of her audition on "Britain's got Talent" has received a record 75 million or so hits, and her debut album (I Dreamed A Dream) is at number one with tens of thousands of copies being ordered three months before its release, more than that for Whitney Houston and the Beatles. She has a fan-based website with thousands of members. And she is still being disrespected by some newspaper journalists. In his "Dave On Demand" column in the Philadelphia Inquirer, David Hiltbrand wrote last Saturday: "Mary Hart conducted an interview of Paul McCartney on 'Entertainment Tonight' this week that exemplified the show's ridiculous obsession with the flavor of the week. She asked the pop legend what he thought of flash-in-the-pan Susan Boyle. ...
