Kleber Mendonça Filho and Juliano Dornelles' Bacurau, shot by Pedro Sotero, edited by Eduardo Serrano, costumes by Rita Azevedo, and starring Sônia Braga, Udo Kier and Bárbara Colen, had its world première at the Cannes Film Film Festival, where it won the jury prize (shared with Ladj Ly's Les Misérables).
