At a loss for what to watch this week? From new DVDs and Blu-rays, to what's streaming on Netflix, we've got you covered.
New on DVD and Blu-ray
"The Martian"
Unfortunately, the poster on this one was misleading -- they never actually let us bring Matt Damon home after seeing the movie. (His wife would probably disapprove.) You can, however, take home Ridley Scott's acclaimed Mars mission movie "The Martian" on DVD and Blu-ray starting January 12. The Blu-ray editions include more than 90 minutes of special features, including five "in-world" pieces, and featurettes from the cast, director, and producers. There's also a gag reel, which should be fun.
"Hotel Transylvania 2"
Drac's Pack is back in the sequel to "Hotel Transylvania," as they put the son of Mavis and Johnny through a "monster-in-training" boot camp to bring out his vampire side. The DVD, out January 12, includes feature commentary with the director and vocal cast,...

At first blush, I’d definitely stand up high upon a soap box and tell the world that we really don’t need another reality singing competition. Isn’t viewership way down on the big ones anyway? What can anybody do to make vocal contests more interesting? Add John Barrowman? Say what!? Now you’ve got my attention Sing Your Face Off.
Is it April Fool’s Day? Sing Your Face Off can’t be a real series title. And yet, EW confirms that ABC has signed judges, cast and a host for the new competition series.
Before you ask me if Barrowman, star Torchwood and Arrow can sing, let me explain something, Barrowman has signed on to host the series. The guy is so talented that I wouldn’t be surprised if he could sing anyway.
He’s the other twist (if you consider Barrowman hosting an American reality...

One of Indian cinema's first superstars who appeared in 15 consecutive hit films in the course of three years
Rajesh Khanna, who has died aged 69 after a long illness, was Indian cinema's first superstar. At the height of his fame he generated adulation that sometimes verged on mass hysteria and appeared in 15 consecutive hit films over the course of three years.
He first achieved acclaim in Aradhana (Worship, 1969), playing two roles – the husband and grown-up son, both air force pilots, of the established star Sharmila Tagore. Notable among the romantic drama's musical numbers was the sexy Roop Tera Mastana (Your Beauty Is Intoxicating), recorded in a single take, a first for Hindi cinema.
Further highly commercial films followed, including Aan Milo Sajna (Come Meet Me, Beloved, 1970), Kati Patang (Broken Kite, 1970) and Haathi Mera Saathi (Elephant My Partner, 1971). More thought-provoking were Daag (Stain, 1973), dealing with the subject of bigamy, and Anand (1971), in...

Bryan Singer, producer of X-Men: The First Class, dropped a line to AICN to share some notes and much needed plot details of the upcoming Matthew Vaughn-directed prequel. Currently, to this point, all we know about the film is that is will feature the story of how young Dr. Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr discover their powers for the first time, and meet up with other mutants.
Well, it seems Singer wants to clear some timeline points with fans, as we all wondered when this movie was going to take place. I for one thought it would take place after the Wolverine film, but I am wrong. You see, at the end of the Wolverine film, Xavier shows up to pick up the left over mutants from Three Mile Island, presumably to take them to the school of gifted youngsters. We thought the first class of mutants would...

Apparently X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn is mad about Mad Men star January Jones.
According to Deadline the actress will play sexy telepathic mutant Emma Frost. She joins an already impressive cast that includes Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Kevin Bacon (Sebastion Shaw), and James McAvoy (Professor X).
No word on whether or not the morally ambigious mutant will be a hero or villain in the film (in the comics she has sided with both Professor X and Sebastion Shaw). Either way we look forward to seeing Betty Draper (well, Betty Francis now) kicking some ass.

When Fergus Henderson was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, he risked losing much more than his career as one of the country's top cooks. Then he met Professor Marwan Hariz, who drilled into his skull and rebooted his brain. Here, Fergus, Emma Thompson, Ruby Wax and Max Stafford-Clark talk about their relationships with the doctors and therapists who've transformed their lives
Fergus Henderson, Chef
In October 2005, Professor Marwan Hariz Performed Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery On Fergus Henderson To Treat The Symptoms Of His Parkinson's Disease
I thought I had a trapped nerve because I was walking around with an arm like John Wayne on horseback, so I went to the doctor and he told me it was Parkinson's. That wasn't a particularly good moment. I was showing classic symptoms – I'd had the John Wayne arm for about a year but I'd sort of carried on regardless. I went for a rather...

Craig Horner has revealed that John Rhys-Davies will guest star in a future episode of Legend of the Seeker. "John Rhys-Davies guest-starred in an episode just recently," Horner told Xenite.org. "He's a really great person." Rhys-Davies has a long history in fantasy-themed projects, having played Sallah in several Indiana Jones movies, Gimli (and the voice of Treebeard) in The Lord of the Rings movies, Grimshank in the comedy fantasy series Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire, Professor Maximilian on Sliders, and many other projects. No word on when the episode will air. Meanwhile, Ted Raimi, who plays Joxer on Xena: Warrior Princess, will reprise his role as the evil map-maker Sebastian on Legend of the Seeker's February 20th episode. "Suffice to say that he causes a lot more trouble than he did in the first episode," Raimi tells TheTorchOnline.com.
