The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. is one of the funniest anime series to exist, with dry and witty humor that cannot be replicated and is only rivaled by the likes of Gintama and Grand Blue. Despite how ridiculous Saiki K gets, you also become invested in the characters and the plot.
The credit goes to the voice actors who make Saiki K so brilliantly funny. From the protagonist’s deadpan delivery to Nendo’s stupidity, it’s all owed to their talent, and even the English voice actors do an amazing job. However, the second and third seasons did not receive dubs, and the replacements in Reawakened didn’t hit the mark.
While the original Japanese voice actors reprised their roles, the quality of the English dubbed version noticeably dropped. It didn’t carry the tone and humor of the Japanese version and the previous voice actors. It ruined...

Just eight months after the release of the first chapter, the Mononoke series has hit the Japanese box office once more with “Mononoke the Movie – The Ashes of Rage,” whose less radical approach to editing and storytelling imprinted by director Kiyotaka Suzuki does not impair the consistency of general director Kenji Nakamura‘s vision, making it a worthwhile cinematic experience nevertheless.

And what if that guy discovered he had amazing powers and vowed to master them in order to “beat the s*** out of Satan?” Well, welcome Exwires, to the Blue Exorcist watch guide, where I’ll talk about the show where all of these things happen! Who ends up who is perhaps the most important question anime fans ask, possibly only second to "who would win?’ The romance genre is one of the most loved, and even though when the show is not exclusively romantic, fans are always interested in the dynamics between different characters. Sometimes, the audience is treated to obvious couple formations between the protagonists, but fans have limitless imaginations when it comes to shipping.
It just so happens that some anime couples don’t get their due share in the limelight because they haven’t been exclusively written into the storyline in that manner. However, usually, when the chemistry between some characters is off the charts or unexpected, it forces the viewers to make sense of that relationship. Whether they are canon or not, the audience has more than a few surprising anime ships that work far better than the original pair.

One of the best things about anime is that it can appeal to fans of all ages. While most series cater to adults, plenty of titles are available for the youngest viewers. However, finding age-appropriate series for young teens and tweens can sometimes be a challenge. It's an awkward age demographic, where young viewers are looking to get into more mature themes but still aren't quite old enough for many of the intense anime series available.
Fortunately, anime is a versatile medium with a vast assortment of titles that fit this bill. Ranging from various genres and categories, many anime series manage to be serious and mature while still keeping things PG for younger audiences. It's important to preview such anime before giving kids the okay to view, as a series' popularity among that age group may not guarantee it's actually appropriate.

In the west, media about the mafia captivates viewers with their high stakes and interesting criminal dynamics. The Godfather is considered a classic movie, for example, and is a reference in many other shows and movies. The Sopranos is another popular show with a similar premise. There's simply something about this dangerous life that makes for good media.
Things aren't too different in Japan, where there's plenty of media focusing on the yakuza. These organized criminal syndicates have earned their fair share of TV dramas, manga, and anime. They even have a video game inspired by their way of life, The Way of the Dragon, formerly known as Yakuza, showing off their way of life with beat-'em-up action. For anime fans excited to get in on the dangerous action tied to the yakuza, these ten shows are the best of the best.

Science fiction anime, and sci-fi media in general, cover themes other than the obvious advanced technology and extraterrestrial exploration. Tropes like artificial intelligence or post-apocalyptic settings can create profound narratives around sensitive or complicated issues. Ergo Proxy, for example, uses sentient machinery to touch upon the subjects of identity and nihilism.
Sci-fi commonly uses elements to explore abstract concepts such as humanity and corrupt societies, and exploring such potentially deep subjects often gets dark. And, often, these stories reveal that there is nothing more terrifying than humanity itself or more disturbing than the human mind.

Anime is one of the most popular artistic mediums in the world, due in large part to the widespread success of the shonen genre. Its universal appeal has helped many of the most popular shonen shows transcend the genre’s original demographic, and although action is usually a defining aspect of these titles, they rarely get too dark or mature for younger viewers to enjoy.
However, while most shonen heroes are paragons of virtue and honor, the genre has also produced several villains that are much, much darker than those seen in other shows geared toward children. From Dragon Ball Z to Demon Slayer, even the most beloved series have pushed the boundaries with the sheer cruelty of their villains.

Anime has truly taken off in recent years, and with that, new fans are always looking for good places to start. Shows like Dragon Ball, One Piece, My Hero Academia, and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are often easy recommendations because of their fun stories and great animation, and more often than not, they do a great job of turning newcomers into diehard fans.
There are plenty of great anime for beginners, but unfortunately, the opposite is also true. As is always the case, plenty of anime simply aren’t worth watching because of bad writing, poor visuals, or some combination of the two, and it’s to the point that some anime are so bad that they could turn newcomers off of anime entirely if they’re the first ones someone watches. There will always be spirited discussions about what the absolute best anime series is, and that's a tricky debate, even when fans narrow things down to just shonen, just action series, and the like. A good example is One Piece's own ranking among the best anime, because while everyone agrees that One Piece is one of the legendary greats, it's not necessarily #1. No other anime can beat One Piece at its game of scale, but that's not the only game that an anime series can play.
Pound for pound, in their own genres, a handful of anime series and anime-adjacent cartoons have been praised as being as good as One Piece or even better. The community loves One Piece, but there's always more to enjoy within a medium that is so varied and vast (and growing faster than ever). Hunter x Hunter's new fighting game, Nen x Impact has been banned in Australia due to suggestions of sexual violence against minors according to a recent report. Though Hunter x Hunter is a believed series among anime fans, one of the series' main antagonists, Hisoka, remains a controversial aspect. It seems that controversy has now boiled over, with Hisoka's disquieting antics meaning that Bushiroad and Eighting's Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact won't receive classification in Australia, effectively banning the game.
In a report by Automaton Media, the Australian Classification board specifically said that it wouldn't classify the new game with its rating system due to "sexual violence against characters under the age of 18 by an adult male character." While the board doesn't clarify, anyone familiar with the series will know that the likely culprit is Hisoka. While this is obviously disappointing for Australian fans of Hunter x Hunter...

Over the past few decades, the popularity of anime has grown to immense heights, resulting in audiences around the world regularly watching Japan’s most beloved animated series. While these series vary significantly in terms of genre and tone, a large percentage of anime share one thing in common: high-stakes combat and action.
Action is a major part of anime’s appeal, so it’s no surprise that long-awaited final fights like Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha’s battle at the end of Naruto: Shippuden are a major part of what attracts new fans to the artistic medium. However, even though Naruto and Sasuke’s last duel is an iconic piece of anime history, it’s far from the only final battle in anime that deserves recognition.

Crunchyroll just announced that in early 2025, select theaters in North America and Brazil will be screening the omnibus film that contains the final two episodes of the series based on Hajime Isayama's hit manga, Attack on Titan.

Due to the sheer scope of the One Piece world, not every important event is going to be shared in the manga or anime. Often, these events are explored through the cover stories or Sbs, but even those can only focus on so many things. While the Rocky Port Incident is important to several characters in the anime, none of those characters are Straw Hat Pirates. As such, Eiichiro Oda said he isn't planning to expand on the topic more in the manga. Instead, he has finally shared a rough outline of the event in a Q and A within Weekly Shonen Jump 2024 Issue 49.
The Rocky Port Incident has been mentioned several times throughout the manga and anime. The main information that was shared is that Trafalgar D. Water Law, Marshall D. Teach and Koby were all important players during the event. This each gained something from the conflict that happened there,...

Many anime take place in the hustle and bustle of a busy city where chance encounters are common, and the characters are city-smart. While this sort of setting has created many classic anime that couldn't have thrived anywhere else, sometimes fans would prefer a simpler setting with a different sort of charm.

Shonen anime is a demographic aimed at young male viewers, hence the name. While there are no absolute rules on how shonen should be written and presented, shonen trends towards male pursuits of competition, action, and friendly rivalries of all kinds. This also means the protagonists are usually teenage males, such as Naruto Uzumaki and Tanjiro Kamado. Still, there's ample room for female leads in shonen as well, especially since more girls than ever like watching shonen anime alongside the boys.

An amalgamation of the three Kizomonogatari Films, Tekketsu, Nekketsu and Reiketsu, which are themselves adapted from the second novel in the monogatari series – a prequel to the others – Kizumonogatari – Koyomi Vamp – which premièred at the 2024 Fantasia International Film Festival - might be said to have a complicated pedigree. There are dozens of characters in Bleach, and several of these characters have siblings. For example, Orihime had an older brother who became a Hollow. That being said, neither of them are exceptionally powerful. Some of the strongest Bleach siblings happen to be Soul Reapers, and most of them are Lieutenant-level or higher. There are also Arrancar and Quincy siblings, who are fairly strong as well.
In most cases, the older sibling is stronger, but there are instances where the younger sibling is more powerful. One sibling pair is not even related by blood, but they would die in order to protect one another. Those adopted siblings are now two of Soul Society's strongest Captains. There are also some non-canon siblings that happen to be strong.
