Looking for Power Rangers or something like it?
Then why are you watching adult, dark, hyperviolent anime?
Fans of power rangers seeking to rekindle their love of the property can keep moving.
You've missed the entire point of Sentai Daishikkaku (Go Go Loser Ranger) if that's why you're here. Most of the bad reviews seem to be from the same people who got mediocre grades because they only read half of the directions and assumed the rest. This show was never supposed to have anything to do with the power rangers other than its references to the japanese shows from which american studio-execs chopped and screwed into western teen drama.
First of all, this is an ode to Super Sentai series AND SFX shows like it (Kamen Rider, Ultraman, etc.) - hence the ACTUAL title: Sentai Daishikkaku
i saw someone attempted to compare the choreography of human actors in a 90s action show to that of animated superheroes and monseters in a modern over-the-top, self-aware anime...that seems counterproductive when writing a review .
Power rangers is not super sentai but merely an american teen drama with super sentai action-scenes interspersed and as such the references to power rangers are merely coincidental. Google it.
Fans of anime, however, will love this refreshing narrative amongst the choking isekai (nothing against it, but its nice to have something OTHER than isekai)...its narrative is closer to The Boys than Power Rangers and be forewared, the protagonist is one of the nameless monster footsoldiers, but it is that narrative choice that puts this programme above the rest as far as originality, sense of humor, etc.

This is parading Power Rangers an does not take its self seriously. They mention things like "Monster of The Week" and that was what power rangers was. A monster of the week that would teach the rangers a valuable lesson. But as the series went on u see that they start to touch on mature topics and darken the tone. I love Go Go Loser Ranger caus it takes the PR Formula and completely makes fun of it and I love that it does have this more mature aspect to it. Go Go Loser Ranger is more ment for the people who know the unserious moments in animes and the PR formula that makes a good show and good characters.
This show was quite surprising, I just randomly decided to watch it on a slow day, thinking it could be something typical and predictable... maybe an average show or such, but I ended up I getting hooked from the very first episode, and then as I kept watching, I was always impressed with how consistent the quality was.
I was always expecting that one episode where the plot and quality would start dropping or something, but it never came, instead I was always entertained, the story was hard to predict for me, I was clueless regarding what was going to happen in each episode, the characters are really likeable, the animation seems good/fine, even the tunes were catchy, idk what else to say, if you're unsure about giving this show a try, just check it out and decide if it works for you.

As a longtime Power Rangers fan, I approached "Go! Go! Loser Ranger!" with a mix of curiosity and excitement, eager to see a darker take on the beloved franchise. Unfortunately, this anime did not deliver what I was hoping for.
Firstly, the fights are lackluster. They lack the excitement and intensity that Power Rangers fans have come to expect. The choreography is unremarkable, and the battles fail to capture the thrilling energy that defines the original series.
The plot, while original, misses the mark for those seeking a Power Rangers experience. It's filled with twists and turns that, rather than being engaging, often feel forced and uninspired. The narrative lacks the magic and charm of the Power Rangers, instead presenting an anime story dressed in a Power Rangers costume.
For those hoping to scratch the Power Rangers itch, this anime is not the solution. It's an original story that doesn't quite live up to the standards set by the franchise. In essence, "Go! Go! Loser Ranger!" fails to capture the spirit and excitement that Power Rangers fans crave. If you're looking for something that truly embodies the Power Rangers experience, you'll need to look elsewhere.

You might think, that if you review a whole tv show, then its rating is supposed to be somewhere near the average, right?
I don't understand the overall lower rating for this show being 7.0 than the average from all episodes.
Here the calculation: Compared to the ratings from each episode (date: 16th august 2024): Episode 1: 7.4 Episode 2: 7.6 Episode 3: 8.2 Episode 4: 8.5 Episode 5: 8.2 Episode 6: 8.4 Episode 7: 8.1 Episode 8: 8.6 Episode 9: 8.9 Episode 10: 8.7 Episode 11: 9.0 Episode 12: 8.5
the average of this tv show is 8.34. So, the season rating should be somewhere near 8, right?
It*s 7.0.
My advise for you: please check the ratings of each episode, not the rating here in this section.
I liked this show. It's not your obvious good superheroes against bad aliens tv show. It's different, and it's well written, the plot is well and surprising, with twists and turns.
Overall, I give this complete show a great rating of 8.
Check it out and enjoy the ride.
