If you want to know when you can play the latest Tony Hawk well we have the release date for you right after the jump!
According to Tony Hawks Twitter, the game will release September 29th on Xbox One and PS4. Last gen (PS3 and 360) will have to wait a little long with an unannounced date.
The game is being made by Robomodo which made the previous installments including Tony Hawk Ride. Luckily we don't need any gimmicky periphals for this one as it seems to return to the roots of the franchise.

London-based studio Roll7 is beginning to establish a fruitful working relationship with indie publisher Devolver Digital. Having served up a concoction of Tony Hawks-inspired skateboarding fun with the delightful OlliOlli – not to mention its excellent sequel, Welcome to Olliwood – the developer is honing in on its upcoming pixel art title, Not a Hero.
Mixing elements of OlliOlli’s side-scrolling with the instant replay-ability found in Hotline Miami, Roll7’s shooter is already beginning to garner praise for its satirical take on London. Due to release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PC later this year, the studio is ensuring the momentum continues by releasing a demo of Not a Hero, which is available today through Steam.
As a matter of fact, should players take a shine to the retro aesthetic and gameplay elements within the vertical slice, Roll7 noted that a 10% discount will be offered to those who wish to...

Nass Festival is one of the UK’s biggest and one of Europes finest extreme sports and music festivals. Along with Boardmasters and Freeze festival, Nass is included in the holy trinity of Relentless festivals, but what does that mean to those unexperienced?
As you could have guessed, Nass festival plays host to world famous action sports pros and music artists at the top of their game, year in, year out at Bath and West Showground in Somerset. Across the platform of Relentless festivals you can more or less expect similar atmosphere, artists and degree of sports over a three day period to soak up the sun and even gets your hands dirty at various public sessions of open indoor and outdoor skate/bmx parks when they are not in use for competitions. Previous athletes include Tony Hawk and Matt Hoffman, so keep your eyes peeled if you have some...

A psychogeographical jaunt in a swan pedalo entertains Peter Bradshaw
Psychogeography-lite is one way of describing this film by Andrew Kötting, the indulgent record of a gloriously daft journey the film-maker took in the company of author Iain Sinclair. They travel from Hastings beach to Hackney, round the coast and then north and east, via various circuitous waterways — in a pedalo shaped like a swan. They were perhaps inspired by the seagoing pedalo scene in Sylvain Chomet's Belleville Rendez-Vous (2003). Kötting never changes his suit and often climbs into the muddy water wearing it. Why? And where do they sleep when night falls? In a tent? Or do they seek out a nice little Premier Inn? Who knows?
Anyway, there they are, pedalling industriously away together. Part of their mission is to bring a defiant message of ambulatory freedom to the grim corporate compound that is the Olympic Park, and...

Why are we really here? You know, here, like on the planet, alive, and all that? This philosophical festival should help figure it out, with mind-expanding films from Richard Linklater's wonderful animated odyssey Waking Life to Eraserhead and A Matter Of Life And Death, plus film-based talks and workshops. Will Self presents and argues for Tarkovsky's Mirror, the Guardian's Julian Baggini discusses the Coen brothers as moral philosophers, and Bidisha, Kira Cochrane and others discuss the women who co-founded Hollywood.

The announcement that legendary newsreader Ron Burgundy and his garishly polyester-clad cohorts will soon be returning to the airwaves and screens near us in Anchorman 2 seems to have prompted wild celebration in London's Bloomsbury area – or at least a good excuse for a party. Sega of America has released a teaser trailer titled ‘Guess who’s back?’ on their youtube channel. The trailer which doesn’t name the game they are talking about states that another Dreamcast game is being re-released on Xbla and Psn. The trailer ends by asking ‘Guess who’s back?’ and showing a familiar logo. Now for those of you old enough to have owned a Dreamcast during its brief lifetime (has it really been more than a decade?) the game in question should be obvious.

It’s rare for a film sequel to be as good as the original – but with video games it generally tends to be the opposite. Gaming sequels often manage to take the experience of the first game and expand it with new features and improved graphics, making each new entry in the series a significant step forward. It’s for this reason that many of gaming’s most popular franchises have seen sequels which are regarded by many as superior to the original title.
But sadly….. It’s not always the case.
Here’s our list featuring ten of the most disappointing video game sequels of all time.
Fable III (2010)
Peter Molyneux’s fantasy series has both a devoted legion of fans and an army of cynics. For many the potential that was shown in the original Fable was squandered in the long awaited sequel Fable II, which failed to...

More so than any other form of media, video games have a particularly difficult position when it comes to controversy. While violent films or TV shows merely engage viewers passively, games differ in that they give direct control over the on-screen action.
What many fail to understand is that the majority of gamers have the ability to differentiate reality from fantasy. It’s for this reason that you don’t see the plumbing industry swamped with applications from gamers who were attracted to the profession by promises of gold coins and a hot princess named Peach.
Still, it’ll never stop video games from being a scapegoat for the many problems within modern society. It wasn’t long before the ugly sight of the U.K riots were blamed on video games – with an unnamed police officer quick to pinpoint the source of the entire problem as Grand Theft Auto.

The film adaption of “Round Ireland with a Fridge” will have its U.S. premiere at the American Hotel in Freehold Borough, New Jersey on March 11. The film will be screened at the American Hotel alongside a selection of Irish shorts provided by the Irish Film Institute, Reel Ireland an Culture Ireland. John Newman, borough councilman, read “Round Ireland With a Fridge” by Tony Hawks in 2009 after returning from a trip to Ireland. After a night of drinking, Hawks (played by the author) accepts a bet that he can’t hitch-hike the perimeter of Ireland with a refrigerator. During the course of a month, Hawks has one of the most unforgettable experiences of his life. This new comedy road movie proves that, no matter how gloomy things seem, when one opens the fridge door a little light comes on. Speaking about the delight of having the film broadcast in Freehold,...

There are any number of genius creator-driven games hidden away on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live.
And we’re more than happy to bring a brilliantly bonkers new one to your attention.
The gang at Hothead Games have given us an exclusive audio commentary of the team attempting to make their way through one of the action platformer’s levels, and if it’s as much fun to play as it is to watch, we can’t wait.
Imagine Lemmings meets Pikmin by way of Mario and Tony Hawks’ combo tricks system, with a strategically suicidal twist.
In Swarm you take control of 50 utterly fearless Swarmites and drive them through an intense, entertaining and often suicidal battle of survival. Run, bash, huddle, boost, stack, jump, push and throw your way through gauntlets of death and destruction in an attempt to collect valuable DNA and ensure that at least one Swarmite survives.

Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival, Berwick-upon-Tweed
England's northernmost town exploits its tourist-friendly heritage for this imaginative festival, with a trail of film-based artworks commissioned for local landmarks as well as regular cinema screenings. The theme is Stagings, which means all manner of film-related art based around ideas of performance. So you'll find dance in the 14th-century Coxon's Tower and animation in the town hall prison cells, while film artist Guy Sherwin presents his ingenious projected pieces in the Holy Trinity Church. The screenings are also performance-themed, ranging from The Keystone Cut Ups, a live event colliding music, silent comedy and early avant garde cinema, to Malaysian drama Karaoke (you can guess what it's about), a Finnish rugby mockumentary and the Marx brothers' A Night At The Opera.

Digital copy is the future. Apple certainly think so (well, they have to). To this end, iTunes hopes to slowly introduce their consumers to the ease of movie downloads by offering a rental every week at the ridiculously cheap price of 99p. You couldn’t even buy I Know Who Killed Me on DVD for that.
As usual, this is my review of this week’s selection. I can only assume this weeks choice is an attempt to cash in on Zombieland’s popularity, both films featuring as they do one Woody Harrelson. Let’s take a look at Surfer, Dude! (Yeah, i know. Hey, i didn’t choose it…).

A new feature film entitled 'Round Ireland with a Fridge', from UK based Fridge d'Or Films, has completed production. Directed by Ed Bye (After You've Gone), the film is written by Tony Hawks (Red Dwarf) - who also stars alongside Irish talent Valerie O'Connor (The Daisy Chain) and comedian Ed Byrne (The Cassidys). 'Round Ireland with a Fridge' tells the tale of a disillusioned TV personality who accepts a drunken bet that he cannot hitch-hike around the entire circumference of Ireland, accompanied by his fridge. He embarks on a bizarre, funny and at times uncomfortable journey, which opens his eyes to a more relaxed way of life, beyond the confines of his cosy London media world. Along the way, he falls in love with a feisty radio reporter, encounters a philosophical toiletries salesman and takes his fridge surfing.

Given the success of Tony Hawk's skateboarding video game franchise, a plug-in peripheral that brings players closer to the real thing was inevitable. And now details have emerged that Hawk is releasing an electronic skateboard, packed with sensors--all it lacks is wheels.
Hawk's new peripheral is a skateboard-shaped controller that carries advanced motion sensors to track your movements as you wiggle it around your living room floor. As well as accelerometers that monitor your attempts to ollie, rail ride or jump. The board's even been designed with infra-red sensors along the side that detect if you're going for a special-effect stunt like a board grab.
Hawk has wanted to make a peripheral-based game for awhile, but the technology has only just become available--i suspect the raging success of the motion-sensing Nintendo Wii may have something to do with the decision to release the new game too. While the Nintendo...
