Maverick, HBO fire up 'Hosed'
Madonna's Maverick Films has teamed with HBO Films for Hosed, a feature comedy to co-star four members of the Jackass gang -- Chris Pontius, Steve Steve-O Glover, Preston Lacy and Jason Wee Man Acuna. The film, now in development, is described as a broad comedy about an uncoordinated, over-enthusiastic volunteer firefighter who is finally assigned to a firehouse where he has to deal with a band of misfit firefighters from the wrong side of the tracks. Pontius, Glover, Lacy and Acuna will play misfits, with Pontius playing the leader of the band. The volunteer firefighter with whom they interact has not been cast. Adam Tex Davis (Just Friends) will pen the script based on an idea by Michael Schreiber and Maverick's Brent Emery. Maverick's Guy Oseary, Emery and Mark Morgan will produce with Schreiber executive producing. Hosed will be released by Picturehouse, the theatrical distribution company jointly owned by HBO and New Line Cinema.
Pontius, Glover, Lacy and Acuna starred opposite Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera on MTV's successful series Jackass, which spawned two hit films for MTV Films and Paramount Pictures: Jackass: The Movie and Jackass Number Two.
