Pride Month kicked off today, and all month long, television studios and networks — from NBCUniversal to Here TV — will celebrate and amplify Lgbtqia+ voices and stories.
Throughout the month, “Today” will cover Pride celebrations and feature guests including Bowen Yang, Indya Moore and Angelica Ross. NBC News will air “Transamerica,” a special that spotlights the legal barriers transgender people face as well as the trans lawmakers working to break them down. MSNBC anchors Jonathan Capehart, Lindsey Reiser, Kendis Gibson and Yasmin Vossoughian will spotlight LGBTQ+ stories and travel to impacted communities. Meanwhile, Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service, will feature Pride-related documentaries and coverage, including “No Longer a Death Sentence: How Living with HIV Has Changed 40 Years Later,” “Stonewall 50: The Rebellion!” and “Rebellion! Stonewall.” Daily news shows “The Mehdi Hasan Show” and “Zerlina” will also feature segments on the Peacock news commentary channel “The Choice.”

With Resident Evil Village about to release, it’s more important than ever to revisit Resident Evil 7 because Ethan’s story is set to continue to Village and potentially come to a final conclusion if the foreboding line from the first trailer, “His story comes to a close”, doesn’t end up being something to throw us off track…
Let’s go back to early 2017. At the time, Resident Evil was losing a lot of love from its fans and critics. It may have been doing just fine when it came to sales but many of us were longing for a return to horror after the action heavy Resident Evil 5 and the melodramatic and also action orientated Resident Evil 6. And this is where Resident Evil 7 enters which was a most welcome return to form that is not only a great Resident Evil game but a brilliant survival horror game all on its own.

As with Jessica Lange, who recovered from her big screen debut in the flop remake of “King Kong” to become an awards darling, Michelle Pfeiffer has made us forget her first starring role in the tepid “Grease 2” in 1982. The following year she was paired with Al Pacino in the blockbuster crime drama “Scarface.” In the nearly four decades since, she has co-starred with some of the biggest names in Hollywood in such hits as “The Witches of Eastwick,” “Married to the Mob,” “Tequila Sunrise,” “The Russia House,” “Batman Returns,” “Dangerous Minds,” “Up Close & Personal,” “One Fine Day” and “What Lies Beneath.”
Oscar buzz is building for her critically acclaimed performance in the upcoming Sony Pictures Classics release “French Exit” (due out February 12). That got has us reminiscing about her trio of previous bids. Let’s take a look back at Pfeiffer’s first three Oscar-nominated performances.

As a spectacular reimagining of what had otherwise become an incredibly formulaic series, Capcom achieved exactly what it set out to do with Resident Evil 7. The developer’s decision to hit the reset button, so to speak, following the poorly-received RE6, was a move welcomed by all, and while Ethan Winters’ danger-fraught escape from the clutches of Jack Baker and his equally deranged family represents one of the best installments (both in terms of gameplay and narrative) to date, one sorely-missed element from the reboot was scope.
It’s hardly surprising that Capcom opted to maintain realistic ambitions for its first game to utilize the Re Engine, but three years and two remakes later, it seems as if Resident Evil Village truly is intended to be a culmination of all it has learned in that relatively short timeframe.
Nowhere has that been made more evident than recent comments provided by...

The return of a classic it may be, but just as it did with last year’s acclaimed remake, Capcom isn’t content with just giving Resident Evil 3 a new lick of paint and calling it a day. As was the case with its predecessor, the retold story of Jill Valentine’s escape from Raccoon City has been rebuilt from the ground up and once again looks set to push the boundaries of what to expect.
That being the case, then, fans of the 1999 original should go in aware of the fact that not everything will be as they remember. Yes, Nemesis returns once more to hound poor Jill followed by a retinue of equally hellish monsters created by the Umbrella Corporation, but Capcom also hasn’t been afraid to make some key adjustments.
