Highlight episode - Penguin's Umbrella
Started off pretty good but the second-half really lost its way. The mix-match of characters and sheer amount of pointless story-lines completely dragged the show down. Bruce was okay, Alfred pretty good, however, their presence wasn't really needed - although I did like the Bruce/Selina dynamic. As for Gordon, he was pretty one-note and Barbara was just ridiculous, specifically in the finale. Penguin started off interesting but much like the show became pretty over-the-top and uninteresting, Fish much the same. Falcone, on the other hand, was a really great character and I actually loved his interactions with Gordon, a shame most of them came in the finale and not beforehand. Oh, and the Riddler, although lacking the element of subtlety, wasn't too bad in the end, his break-down in the finale somewhat well-done. And Jerome/Joker? Amazing as expected from Cameron Monaghan. Anyway, overall a very uneven show, maybe it'll focus up more next season.
