Despicable Me 2 (2013)
One hilarious-of-a-kind
Minions alone can make the audience laugh. Adding to that is Gru & the 3 little kids action. This is one hilarious movie ever. Though it has lower ratings than the 1st one, I must say that this is better. And the fact that most audience was adults, it means that the movie gets the heart of both children & child-in-mind movie-goers. Though something was missing... and I can't even figure out what is it. Maybe it is the lack of villains. I mean, compared to the 1st one, the villain took most of the part of the movie. But on this one, only a little about it. But the way the minions delivers their actions, I can totally say that this is a good movie. The after credits makes me think that there's gonna be a 3rd movie. And boy I can't wait for that.
Whole Lotta Sole (2011)
**SPOILER ALERT: This review may contain scenes from the movie**
What a piece of crap! A kind of indie-film. A movie that doesn't makes the viewers enjoy each scene. Does not have an effect on viewers. Seriously, I almost fell asleep while watching this one. Only Brendan Fraser acts good above all of them. The gangsters doesn't exactly looks like a real gangster. That boy who robbed the shop has an awful acting skills. Plus some of the scenes has no significant to the story. It's as if the story can go on without those scenes. Like those three stooges who acts as a side-kick of the angry big woman. What the hell did they do? Except for selling the sofa to the antique shop, I think they could go on with filming without them being in it.
Argo (2012)

I'd give thumbs up for Ben Affleck for directing this film. But I'm not sure about giving him a thumbs up for acting on this one. The movie is great with all awesomeness in me while watching this. Surely, I can't predict what may happen next. Though I know the ending might be as well as good, it's hard to think of the next scene while I am so much focused on the story. As for the other actors, I find their role too simple. The story line is what amazes me. It's really hard to imagine that it happened in reality. Especially when they were escaping from Iran and the soldiers were too close to capture them already. Though some I don't believe that some of those scenes did really happened. The one when Ben Affleck tried too check their ticket confirmation for the 2nd time and they got it already. So much coincidence for that too happen. Or they could do well to convince people that it really happened.
Yogi Bear (2010)
Yogi Bear
Hilarious and funny. That's the first thing to come up my mind when I was writing this review. This is a family-film. Where all ages can enjoy and can laugh together. This is not all about the fun. This movie also has a lesson. It teaches everyone, especially the kids to save mother nature 'cause many species lived here. Never cut trees. It will cost too much damage on animals and of course to people also. But through it all, Yogi is fun to be with. I wish I can have a cuddle bear to hug especially at night. I've been watching Yogi bear on cartoons. But this film really drives me crazy than the cartoons. I think it's because they used real people on this film rather than to make it all comic-like movie.
Love & Other Drugs (2010)
Love And Other Drugs
This is the first movie of Anne Hathaway where I saw her taking off her clothes. This was a touching movie. I remember "A Walk To Remember" film with this video. There's one part of this movie that I got confused with. The part where Jamie Randall's (Jake Gyllenhaal) heart beats faster. I don't know why it happened. Or maybe because he was drunk that night and things happen like that. But the fact that Jamie helped Maggie Murdock (Anne Hathaway) to see all the doctors around the state just to help her with the healing process is so heart-warming. He loves Maggie with all his heart that he's willing to risk everything for that girl. And he is willing to accept the truth. I feel so pity for Maggie. I thought it was another sex story. But this movie has some twist so I enjoyed watching it.
Tangled (2010)
Rapunzel
A Rapunzel's story. Cute and amazing film. My friend told me that he liked the film. But he hates the singing scenario on the movie. But for me, it was alright. I've seen such movies like this. Like Cinderella and Shrek, they all got a comedy, romance, musical, action, all in one movie. And this is just one of them. Kids will surely love this. At first I feel bored about this movie. So it took me about a week to finally finish this. But after seeing the movie trailer again, I realized that it still has some comedy parts. And I love that part. The middle part of this movie was great. With Rapunzel's powers, she can heal people who is wounded.
The Green Hornet (2011)
Green Hornet
Cool cars and machines. But Kato is more suitable for the Green Hornet title rather than Reid. 'Kato' plays a big part in this film. And he is more knowledgeable than Reid in terms of fighting and mental skills. But Kato ended up being Reid's sidekick. Catherine Zeta-Jones plays a small part on this movie. I love the cars. It just reminded me of 'Pimp My Ride'. And the coffee makes me drool for it. I also like the part where Reid managed to see and put the missing puzzle piece into a big scoop. Too bad he did that on the ending of the story. That makes him more of a sidekick rather than the star. So after the movie, I headed straight to Figaro Coffee to have some sip.
Hard Breakers (2010)
Hard Breakers
This video is totally awesome! I find it cool and interesting. I thought it would just be another American Pie movie. But i enjoyed it more rather than American Pie. I love the part where the girl would find her real match. Someone who can make her a better person. Someone who can change her. That's what every girls' dream. To find the right guy for her. Someone who can correct all the wrongs in her life. And I love the friendship they build in this movie. Having your best friend with you thru thick or thin is the best things in life. And being with her all the time is the great time of my life. It was totally fun! I appreciated this movie well.
Death Race 2 (2010)
Death Race 2
I love the movie but I hate the gross thing like when Carlo Lucas is having a stitch on his leg because he was hit by a flame thrower. The wound gives me a big "eiw" reaction. I remember Final Destination with this film. It has some similarities. I love the part where 3 people would have to be killed all at the same time though they are in different places and there were no communication device used by the killers neither any watch. At first I thought I can't finish this movie because of the gross thing I saw in the middle part. But I survived it and finished it. It was not so yucky after all. I don't remember the story line of Death race 1. Guess I have to watch it again tonight. Thumbs up for this movie.
Gulliver's Travels (2010)
Gulliver's Travels
I was in middle school when I first read Gulliver's travel book. Based on what I read and what I watched was indeed the same story. I usually don't get satisfy with novels turned into a movie story. Because the story usually has some changes. But this is a good one.
Gulliver lives a simple life in Manhattan. He is a writer and loves music. But no one appreciates his likes. Until he got an assignment to investigate the Bermuda and write something about it. Unexpectedly, he landed on the land of Liliput. Liliput is the land where people is smaller than Gulliver. On that land, Gulliver was called a beast because he was too big for them. He pretended lives in pretension. Because he was big, he helped the citizen in his own little ways. He saved the princess from the people who wants to kidnapped her. He saved the king from the fire, and most of all, he save the countrymen from people who wants to invade their kingdom. Until the king promoted Gulliver to be their general. And the current general falls to be the vice general of Gulliver. The vice general was so angry of what happened and wants to make revenge with Gulliver. He invented something I called "Transformers" myself. He frightened Gulliver. Gulliver then admitted that he was just an ordinary man in Manhattan and what he told everyone was a lie. The king and the princess was put to jail. The vice general joined forces with those people who wants to invade their kingdom. And the bad people rules the Liliput island from then on. Gulliver was thrown on the land of "we don't dare to go". It was the land where giants lives. Gulliver was then owned by a little girl. And the little girl puts Gulliver on her doll house. Until one day, Darcy, Gulliver's associate and crush landed on Liliput island. She was about to follow Gulliver to make sure everything is okay with him on Bermuda. But unluckily, she also landed on the same island where Gulliver was before. She was put to jail by the bad people. But Gulliver's best friend from Liliput island came over to Gulliver to tell him that Darcy is on their island and General Edward was ruling their kingdom. Gulliver decided to go back to Liliput island to protect them and to do his responsibilities as a general. He first brought out of jail the king, princess, and Darcy. And he fought with General Edward. He was helped by his best friend. And together, they won the fight. The Liliput island is now in safe hands with King Theodore. Gulliver and Darcy went back to Manhattan. Since then, they became lovers.
