Saw VI (2009)
10/10
Saw 6 is Very Good!!!!!! I'm being very Serious!!!! Although came out at a bad time!!!!!!
24 October 2009
Warning: Spoilers
It's Halloween again and another round of Saw. Leaving Saw 6 was a very satisfying for the franchise and good way if the series is leading up to the end of the series.

Of course as always Saw 6 opens with another Jigsaw trap. But what makes this Saw so much better than then the previous ones is the storytelling and the story of the Saw 6 itself. If you missed Saw 5 the ending of Saw 5 will be showed again in Saw 6.

The story for Saw 6 is continuing Jigsaw's legacy and finishing his work. The story revolves around Health care and the big boss choosing who lives and who dies. Big boss of Health care eventually finds himself in his own trap set by Jigsaw. The interesting thing about this storyline is that Healthcare keeps being talked about in our news right now. I think this was a good storyline for the series.

The ending for Saw 6 was descent and gives no indication on what will happen next. The series has come a long way. The biggest problem with the series it's not expanding the story to other areas of the country.

If Saw 6 doesn't do well this year it's clear that it's because of "Paranormal Activity" being so successful and speculated for the last few weeks. Is the series really over if it fails this year? The answer is no. With Saw 7 already being made and in 3-D that just might help the series be on top again. We will see how this weekend fairs.

Watchmen (2009)

Watchmen The best movie of the year so far.
9 March 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I've read Watchmen and seen Watchmen and you know what both are awesome. On Friday night watching the Watchmen was very different experience for me. The opening credits to the movie blew me away! The song that was chosen for the opening credits was well chosen and worked perfectly with the movie.

The movie version of Watchmen takes the graphic novel's sequence of events and puts it in a different order. My only guess for doing this is because for anyone that is seeing the movie that's never read the book it will make it for easier understanding.

With the economy so bad right now Watchmen hit me in a different way. The story made me wonder is their really Watchmen out there watching us without our knowledge. Seeing it made me happy and sad because it wasn't your typical movie or story.

The acting in the movie was phenomenal and everything else was terrific. Watchmen isn't just another superhero movie like Spiderman, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, etc. It's completely different movie.

Watchmen isn't for kids because its really gory, and it has nudity in it. I recommend that everybody should see Watchmen and make their own judgments about this movie. For me I'll continue seeing the Watchmen movie over and over again until it leaves the theaters.

Benjamin Button a great film however, Brad Pitt's performance falters
6 January 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Last night after seeing The Curious Case of Benjamin Button I was left with sadness and unhappy with Brad Pitt's performance.

The story is very simple it's about a guy's life being shown in reverse. This movie is very entertaining and sometimes enjoyable. Brad Pitt is the best choice to play the main character however, sometimes while watching it Brad Pitt is just staring at the other characters and seems like he forgot his lines or pages from the script is missing. I was looking forward to a performance as enjoyable as Tom Hank's performance in "Forrest Gump".

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is one of the best films of the year but, I don't think Brad's performance is Oscar worthy. Most likely this movie will still be around after Oscar nominations are announced.

If your looking for good movie to see while Oscar buzz is going on I recommend this movie.

The failing Halloween movie
3 November 2008
Warning: Spoilers
So yesterday I saw The Haunting of Molly Hartley and normally I really don't like giving bad reviews because I love all movies. Although in this case I really, really, really, did not like this movie. ""Spoiler Alert"" The is about Molly Hartley being haunted by something. Actually she was being haunted by nothing except a bad past. This movie was so badly written that I could take the same story and make it better. The movie never fully explains anything to you. Your pratically clueless all the time. The movie should've been at least 2 1/2 hours long instead of an hour and 10 minutes or so. Upon that the beginning is never fully explained either.

The only good thing about this movie is the acting. I liked the actors in this movie. So my advice to you is not to see this movie. I fell asleep during it because it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring.

Saw 5 the best of the series
25 October 2008
Warning: Spoilers
It's that time of year again for another round of Saw. After leaving SAW 5 I was quite impressed with it. The acting was so good the actors could receive an Oscar. As I was watching the movie I thought the ending might be very predictable. However, in the end I was wrong in figuring it out.

If the anyone from the Academy Awards of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is reading this that SAW 5 is not to be unnoticed for Best Picture. Unlike the previous films this one was very well written, very well acted, and very well made. I still don't understand the tagline of the movie.

I was reading articles on IMDb.com about the movie and one of them said that the movie series has been losing money since Saw 3. All I have to say is if that's the case then why did last Halloween the Saw series set record for being the first Horror franchise to have three successful sequels according to EW.

If Movie doesn't do well this weekend it will most likely be because of High School Musical 3 and some of it will be because of the bad economy. I can't wait to see Saw 6.

Quarantine (2008)
10/10
One of this years best horror films!
20 October 2008
Warning: Spoilers
This past Saturday I saw Quarantine and was thinking to myself it's not scary. Of course after sitting through it I realized that the reality of this movie is so real it can scare anybody if caught in the same situation. During the whole time I was getting more and more scared because it seemed so real. I didn't expect it to end the way it did.

Without giving anything away I think their's a lot of unanswered questions which could call for a sequel. It's hard to say if there will be one or not.

If you want to see a great horror movie for Halloween i think Quarantine is your best bet other than Saw 5.

Star Wars Clone Wars not that bad.
20 August 2008
Warning: Spoilers
After reading many bad reviews of this movie I had to see it for myself. I can't say this is a good movie and I can't say this is a bad movie.

The opening theme song to Star Wars Clone Wars made me wonder if I was seeing a different movie. I can't believe original theme song for the opening was changed.

I think the movie should've been at least 2 hours long or more because I would've have liked to see more of the opening battles with more explanation. I like the story of Star Wars Clone Wars.

The animation was really good. The movie is aimed toward kids more than adults. Battle Droids made me laugh every time they said something I wished the new trilogy had that kind of humor with the battle droids.

The Best animated movie of the year.

The Dark Knight is the Best film of the year!
12 August 2008
Warning: Spoilers
After seeing The Dark Knight for 3 times and studying it my research I finally know why everybody keeps going back to the theaters to see it again.

The Dark Knight has a powerful love story between Rachel and Harvey which reminds me of Titanic. The reason I say this by the end of the movie Harvey lost everything just like Rose lost Jack at the end of Titanic.

The Joker played by the late Heath Ledger is terrific and keeps the audience on its toes and you never know what he's about to do next. Heath made the movie better than ever.

Everything about this movie is perfect. The reason everyone keeps going back to see The Dark Knight over and over again is because it's close home. Reminds us of the 9/11 attacks and what's really going on in our world today.

Now the big question remains Will The Dark Knight beat Titanic's record? If I had answer right now I would have to say yes it will. After looking at the stats for the movie it's not that far off from beating it. Recent articles I've read about various studios including Warner Bros. say it won't happen. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

The Mummy 3 is great but fails to show everything the Dragon Emperor can do.
10 August 2008
Warning: Spoilers
After reading many comments from IMDb.com about how bad this really is I had to see the movie myself. I study film on a daily basis and I have to disagree with some of user comments.

Mummy 3 is a great adventure and basically shows how important families really are and no matter how bad things get you still have to stick together. Mr. and Mrs. O'Connell are struggling with good parenting with their son Alex and by the end of the movie everything is shaped up.

The Special Effects as usual are amazing! Although the biggest failure of this movie is the Dragon Emperor. "Spoiler Alert" According to the movie the Dragon Emperor can control five elements however the movie really only shows him using three of the five.

The script is at it's best and other than that if a fourth Mummy were to be made hopefully it can make big comeback.

The Orphanage (2007)

A good Ghost Story!
14 January 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I'm not a big fan of foreign films but, I really liked the Orphanage. It's such a great ghost story in so many ways. It has a mixture of many different Ghost movies.

The story is great and leaves you guessing till the end. This movie was very well done and directed. I'd give it the award for Best Foreign Film for the Oscars.

Each scene has a little piece of what the story is about and as the story unfolds sadness and betrayal goes in the Mother.

Perfect Story, Perfect Script, Perfect Cast, Perfect Director, and a Perfect Movie well done.

Saw IV (2007)
10/10
Masterpiece of Horror
2 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Wow! This is the best Saw sequel in the series. Okay, I've read some reviews of Saw 4 already it seems that fans seem think that Saw 3 had no twist. Saw 3 did have a twist. The twist was the game was for Amanda not the doctor as it's told in the film. The other twist was the Doctor's husband was going to take over for John and play a game to get his daughter back. Now that problem is cleared up here's my review of Saw 4.

Saw 4 is the best horror film of the year. Even better than "30 days of Night". The movie was very well written with lots of twists and turns. Who knew a detective was going to continue the John's work. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! At the beginning of the film shows the autopsy of John and the a doctor finds a tape in his stomach. The detective figures that someone will continue his life's work even though he's dead. The question is who is it? If you've seen the Saw 3 you would assume it's the person who killed John at the end. However it's not. What a huge shocker that was! That's all I have to say but this is the best time I've had at the movie's in a long, long, time.

Fantastic Four 2 better than the original
18 June 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Back in 2005 when I saw the original Fantastic Four I thought it was going to be amazing instead I sat through two hours of boring film. When I saw the trailer for Fantastic Four 2 I said to myself here we go again and it isn't worth spending the money.

So I decided to see movie because I love the comic book adaptations. After I walked out from seeing FF2 I was very happy knowing sometimes a sequel can better than the original. With the return Dr. Doom and the new Character Silver Surfer gave the movie more momentum than what the original had. FF2 followed the comic story of Silver Surfer very well and faithfully.

Fantastic Four 2 was actually better than Spider-man 3. That's a surprise. With so many one liners in this movie it's good to know I can walk out of movie theater with lines from movie that are not only memorable but funny as well.

By the way don't leave the theater after the movie is over there's a little surprise at the end.

Batman Begins (2005)

The Best Batman Ever 4 stars
16 June 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Batman Begins is clearly the best Batman movie ever made. It was actually better than Batman and Robin. The movie has great cast and proves to the fans of Batman that the director knew exactly what he was doing.

The action scenes are fantastic, the acting is very well done and the entire cast gives Oscar winning performances. The most noticeable performance's are by Gary Oldman, Liam Neeson, and Christion Bale (Sorry for spelling any names wrong).

The entire movie is absolutely phenomenal. It has great character development, great drama, and great special effects. One of the best movie's of this year and the summer. I can't wait see this movie again.

Very Good.
2 July 2003
Warning: Spoilers
31/2 stars.

This Terminator is not only better but it also lives up to the originals. Why! It has a new Terminator which is a female. I loved it. I think its one of the best sequels ever made. This movie has lots of explosions that will blow you away! However in any good movie there is problems. This movie is short about 1 hour and 39 minutes. "Spoiler Alert" Guess what if you thought John Conner stopped Judgement Day in number 2 you are wrong. All he did was postponed to a later date. Thats all I am willing to reveal for the secrets. One last thing the ending is so good you will want to see more. Unfortunately we have to wait until Terminator 4 comes out.
