This could have been so much more, but ends up being as much, if not more about Parson's weird obsession with Crowley's bizarre cult. It's like doing a biopic on a famous songwriter who got most of his or her inspiration whilst tripping. Then, the writer spend more than 50% of the movie on where they get the drugs, why they get the drugs, who else is involved in the drugs, and what bizarre halcucinations they see whilst under the influence - in GREAT detail.
This could have been a VERY good one season show if they had stuck to the story. The acting was good, considering what they were given. Watch it by all means, but be prepared to skip a lot of the irrelevant hallucinations.
