With director Patrick Cunningham's feature directorial debut, Model Home, set to go before cameras next week in Los Angeles, we chatted with co-producer Will Clevinger regarding the indie thriller. Read on!
Co-written by Cunningham and producer William Frank, Model Home is being shepherded by High Windows Films and stars Monique Gabriela Curnen (Contagion) and Kathy Baker (Take Shelter, "Medium"). The narrative explores the practice of "live-in staging," in which recently evicted families are recruited to live in unsold properties. Curnen will play a single mother who begins to entertain dangerous fantasies while "staging" a model home in an otherwise empty development, while Baker portrays a realtor who grows increasingly suspicious and alarmed.
Clevinger and Ben Rabbers (The Devil’s Carnival) co-produce, as does Jarod Einsohn, with executive producer credits going to John Frank and Douglas Britton.

Now that holidays are over, it's time to start thinking about what we might get for some of our Dread Central staffers for Christmas 2012, and thanks to the McFarland publishing company, we have already crossed Foy off our list. Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on David Coleman's The Bigfoot Filmography: Fictional and Documentary Appearances in Film and Television.
Synopsis:
The "Sasquatch" film genre, devoted to the legendary and notoriously elusive creature also known as Bigfoot and its Himalayan counterpart, the Yeti, is the focus of this illustrated reference guide. Here is a fascinatingly detailed look at the cinematic history of Sasquatch from the earliest trick films of Georges Melies to the most up-to-date CGI efforts. Critical insights regarding the genre's development are offered, along with an exhaustively researched filmography that includes every known film or television appearance of Sasquatch, Bigfoot, and Yeti in both fictitious and documentary formats.

I am not sure what took so long, but director Kevin Tenney, someone who didn’t grow up on horror films, thought about doing a movie where a Ouija board was the star. That brings me to the 1993 sequel, Witchboard 2: The Devil’s Doorway, a movie I think is just as good, if not better, than Witchboard.
Jason Bene: How long after the financial success of Witchboard did you decide to write and direct the sequel?
Kevin Tenney: The production company, Paragon Arts International, and I talked about it right away. Their investors were all very anxious to fund a Witchboard sequel. But Paragon Arts wanted to leverage that interest by having them invest in another film first, entitled Night Angel. Paragon was going to quickly produce that film and then go straight into Witchboard 2. Unfortunately, they had a lot of problems with production and budget on Night Angel,...

Night of the Demons, Witchboard, these are films that horror fans have grown up watching over and over again. So when Kevin Tenney, the director behind Witchboard and Night of the Demons, has a new film coming out, we here at Bdhr take notice. Kevin Tenney's latest effort, Brain Dead starring Joshua Benton, Sarah Grant Brendecke, David Crane and Andy Forrest, is a homage to the horror films of yesteryear. We also wanted to know what Kevin Tenney thought of the Night of the Demons remake starring Shannon Elizabeth (Scary Movie), Edward Furlong (Brainscan) and Monica Keena (Freddy vs. Jason) and in a cameo appearance Linnea Quigley (The Return of the Living Dead). Here's what he had to say about everything.
Who is Kevin Tenney and what are you all about?
I’m a father, a husband, and a filmmaker in that order. I was born in Hawaii to a military family.
