The DC Extended Universe we knew is a thing of the past now. After 15 movies in the office, the men in power of the franchise decided that things were not working out for the Universe. The Box Office returns and criticism from fans casting a lot of doubt about how things would pan out for the franchise that was once being touted as a competition to the MCU.
But it wasn’t meant to be. That also meant that a rumored sequel to WW84 would have to be scrapped. And Chris Pine had no qualms with that, for one peculiar reason.

Lynda Carter, who became a television icon as the star of the live-action “Wonder Woman” series from 1975 to 1979, delighted comic book fans when she popped up at the end of Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman 1984” as Asteria, a legendary Amazonian warrior previously thought to be dead. The tease led many to believe a third “Wonder Woman” movie would unite Carter and Gal Gadot on the big screen, but the sequel was announced as dead in August 2023.
In a new interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Carter heavily suggested that she would’ve been back as Asteria had Jenkins and Gadot’s “Wonder Woman 3” taken flight at Warner Bros. She described Jenkins’ plans for the sequel as “really interesting, wonderful and about something important. Not just your typical thing.”

Lynda Carter didn’t have the Golden Lasso of Truth surrounding her. But what she said about a possible Wonder Woman 3 makes sense.
Carter spoke to Yahoo! Entertainment and said that she thinks the only way a Wonder Woman 3 will ever get made is if there’s a fan demand and outcry.
“I don’t think they want to do it unless there’s enough pressure from fans,” said Carter. “I just don’t think they have the mind to do it. And I don’t understand that, because it seems to me that Wonder Woman is different from other characters. She’s not just a superhero. Her whole thing is about peaceful solutions. She’s not aggressive to be aggressive. It’s a different story. It’s about inner strength, outer strength. I don’t know why they tabled it, because it’s a great franchise.”

Wonder Woman took cinemas by storm when it was released in 2017. Despite being a period piece set during World War 2, it managed to bring in droves of fans to witness Diana Prince’s origin tale. So, with the same creative team returning for a sequel and the ever-popular decade of the 80s being its setting, this could outdo the first in every way. But with expectations comes disappointment as the film released during Covid caused quite a stir for its creative partners and had some rather questionable CGI. So today on DC Revisited, we’re getting into it all as we dive into Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984.
After the first film made $822 Million worldwide, a sequel was announced just one month after release. A few months later, it was announced that writer/director Patty Jenkins and her co-writer Geoff Johns would return and serve the same roles for this new venture.

The Zone of Interest.Watching The Zone of Interest (2023) is an act of endurance. The latest film by British director Jonathan Glazer depicts the lives of the commanding officer at Auschwitz, Rudolf Höss (Christian Friedel), his wife, Hedwig (Sandra Hüller), and their children, with most of the action set within and around their idyllic home. Viewers must face the intolerable sight of the house existing right alongside the concentration camp, with the camp’s roofs hovering above the adjoining perimeter fence. On the camera’s side of this divide, the children swim and Hedwig attends to her garden. Unlike most films about the Holocaust, representations of the Nazi regime’s victims are only occasionally in the foreground, yet—through distant screams, the flicker of flames, alarm sounds, and splatters of blood—the atrocity is present. Meanwhile, the film’s focus is on those who enact this atrocity: how they eat together,...

Plot: Gal Dove and Don Logan are best friends and small-town thieves living the good life in ‘90s East London. Deedee Harrison is a captivating adult film star whose ambitions to control her own personal destiny and her love affair with Gal Dove put her in danger. Teddy Bass is a treacherous, rising name in the gangster world who seduces Gal and Don into his criminal web.

Gal Gadot‘s portrayal of Wonder Woman made her the leading lady of the Dceu, but she faced some stiff competition to book the part.
The actress joined the DC Comics franchise alongside Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill and was lauded as one of the brightest lights for her portrayal of Diana Prince in 2016′s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Since then, Gal has reprised the role in several projects, including two solo movies. There have been ongoing questions about her future in the franchise.
She’s synonymous with the character, but Gal had to audition for it alongside several other stars.
In fact, we can say for a fact that she faced off against at least three actresses to land the part. Of them, two opened up about their experience auditioning. One of them even explained why they knew that they “never” had a chance to land it.

Gal Rosenbluth and Nayef Hammoud share the couch in their Tel Aviv apartment, sitting in front of a computer for our video call. Off camera, curled up at their feet, is their dog. He’s an Israeli dog, they note. It’s not a minor point. The couple spent days arguing over which language — Arabic or Hebrew — they’d use to train him. In the end, Rosenbluth won out.
Rosenbluth, a film editor, was born in the United States to Israeli parents and grew up in Tel Aviv. Hammoud, a screenwriter, is Palestinian, born in the Israeli city of Haifa. They met in film school and have been together for the past eight years, sharing their lives and careers. Jason Momoa, Oscar Isaac, and Gal Gadot are hard at work on their upcoming movie In the Hand of Dante and we have some action-packed photos from set!
The three actors were seen batting it out while filming a scene on the roof of a building on Saturday (October 7) in Venice, Italy.
Oscar was seen tied up with a gag around his mouth while Jason and Gal had their guns pointed at each other.
Director Julian Schnabel has been developing the project for over a decade after Johnny Depp originally brought him the book. He is no longer starring in the project through, with Oscar taking over his role as Nick Tosches, who is the author of the novel.
Back in 2011, IndieWire reported that the movie “revolves around Dante’s masterwork “The Divine Comedy,” and interweaves two separate stories, one set in 14th century Sicily, Italy featuring the legendary poet Dante Alighieri,...

It was a battle of the sexes all over the place on Minx Season 2 Episode 5, which saw the backdrop of the infamous Billie Jean King versus Bobby Riggs tennis match create a real-time divide between the women and men.
While Joyce and Doug were off in Vegas trying to sell the international rights to Minx, Tina was dipping into her fun bag by hosting a party at Bottom Dollar.
And it was messy all around, as Joyce ran into some familiar faces and Tina struggled to keep things under control.
Minx Season 2 has been a mixed bag thus far, as so much of what made the first season fun seems to be missing this time around.
I can't put my finger on what's missing, but it lacks some of that charm that made the characters so endearing.

Gal Gadot isn't a stranger to big franchises. She made her feature debut with "Fast & Furious," joining the property by playing a fan-favorite character who got one of the series' best death scenes — sort of. She also delivered the single best line in the entire Kenneth Branagh Hercule Poirot franchise with her role in "Death on the Nile" (even if the movie wasn't a big hit), and starred in the underrated action comedy "Knight and Day," which features a fantastic Tom Cruise performance.
It was Gadot's role in the DC Universe, mostly in the first "Wonder Woman," that made her a star (a role she got after reading scenes from a Tarantino movie during her audition). "Wonder Woman" also offered a glimpse at a bright future for the DC Universe that has yet to materialize -- and even if it does, it will do so without Gadot's Diana of Themyscira.

Gal Gadot insists the only actor to do all their own stunts is Tom Cruise. The 'Wonder Woman' star has admitted she doesn't take part in every action sequence and insists it's important to recognise the hard work and dedication of the experts who step in for actors on film sets - hailing their "dedication" to their craft. In an interview with Flaunt given before the Hollywood actors strike, she explained: "When people say: ‘I do all of my stunts by myself: 'I’m like, ‘Really?' ... [The only exception] is Tom Cruise, who really, really does them."She added: “I always try to celebrate my stunt women and men. The amount of work and the risk they take, the dedication - everything they give is just incredible. They’ve become like a second family to me. They should be celebrated because they really make us look like the best version of ourselves.

Following the news regarding upcoming superhero projects can sometimes be very frustrating, mainly because the studios don’t often provide official statements and announcements, and there are dozens, literally dozens of sources in the industry and across the internet who can say million different things. Some sources have gained a good reputation to be more trustworthy than others, but still, there are many cases in which multiple sources can contradict each other, and who to trust then?

Gal Gadot has made her fair share of action films, from her role as the Amazonian princess Diana in “Wonder Woman” and the DC universe to Netflix’s “Red Notice” to the long-running “Fast and Furious” franchise. But after those films, Gadot was eager to do more in the action space — specifically from a female point of view. So she willed “Heart of Stone” into being.

Greta Gerwig Tells Us Some Ideas Were ‘Too Strange’ Even for Her Weird, Wild, and Wonderful ‘Barbie’
If anyone could make a “Barbie” movie for adults, it’s Greta Gerwig. For her third solo directorial outing, Gerwig’s choice to helm a film about Barbie (the doll? the doll?) struck more than a few people as odd (or worse), but Gerwig’s affection for the material and her whip-smart take on what Barbie really represents shines through.
Like Barbie, Gerwig’s “Barbie” contains multitudes: It’s funny, it’s sweet, it’s deep-thinking, it’s clever, and it’s filled with wonderful crafts and stellar performances. It’s the rarest kind of blockbuster: entertaining, intelligent, and destined to be talked about for years to come. For Gerwig (who co-wrote the film with her personal and professional partner Noah Baumbach), it’s an expression of love and joy, another passion project in what we can only hope is a long line to come.

“The Flash” got off to a slow start in its domestic box office sprint, earning $9.7 million in Thursday previews. That’s barely more than the $8.9 million earned by “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” last weekend and only a bit more than the $7.5 million and $7.6 million earned by “Black Adam” and “Fast X” respectively in their Thursday preview runs.
Ten years ago, “Man of Steel” kicked off what would become the DC Films universe with a $56 million Friday (including previews) and $128 million over its Fri-Sun launch.” “The Flash” may struggle to earn as much over its opening weekend as Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot earned on its opening day. If it legs over the weekend like “The Batman” ($133 million from a $22 million Thursday), “The Flash” will earn $59 million by Sunday night.
If “The Flash” legs out over the weekend like “Wonder Woman” ($103 million/$11 million), it’ll end Sunday night with $91 million,...

Gal Gadot hopes that 'Heart of Stone' launches a new female action hero. The 38-year-old actress stars as agent Rachel Stone in the Netflix spy thriller and hopes that the character can match the legacy of male spy heroes such as James Bond, Jason Bourne and Ethan Hunt from 'Mission: Impossible'.Gal told Empire magazine: "I realised that there was an audience for a female action protagonist."I grew up watching Bond, and 'Mission', and Bourne. I wanted to create a really strong, female-driven action movie that is for everybody, not a male story that's been done many times already."An early image from the film – which is slated for release in August – shows Gadot's character skipping across an exploding blimp but the 'Wonder Woman' actress claims that the scene was actually toned down. She explained: "The scene was even crazier, at a higher altitude, and...

Updated June 28: Max says the rollout of the updated credits will begin rolling out the week of June 28.
Previous: Max has responded to the controversy with the following statement: “We agree that the talent behind the content on Max deserve their work to be properly recognized. We will correct the credits, which were altered due to an oversight in the technical transition from HBO Max to Max and we apologize for this mistake.”
The decision to fix the credits comes as the writers and directors guild took a hard line against the Max grouping:
“For almost 90 years, the Directors Guild has fought fiercely to protect the credit and recognition deserved by Directors for the work they create. Warner Bros. “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” seemingly confused a lot of moviegoers with its surprise cameo featuring the return of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman. The character appears as a deus ex machina toward the end of the film, as Wonder Woman arrives on the scene to resurrect Billy Batson/Shazam from death as she is the only person left with godly powers to do so. Some shaky VFX work led to rumors that Gadot’s face was put on another actor’s body using deepfake technology, but “Shazam” director David F. Sandberg says otherwise.
“A certain cameo in ‘Shazam! Fury Of the Gods’ had to be shot in England, but I couldn’t go because of a visa issue so I directed remotely,” Sandberg wrote on Twitter while sharing a video of himself remotely directing Gadot’s cameo scene. “It wasn’t a deepfake as some believe.”
