Sneak Peek the new poster supporting writer/director Terrence Malick's upcoming Fox Searchlight feature "The Tree Of Life.
"The Tree Of Life" stars Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and Jessica Chastain.
According to Malick, the 1950's period piece follows "...a Texas boy's journey from the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as a lost soul in the modern world..."
"...We trace the evolution of eleven-year-old 'Jack', one of three brothers. At first all seems marvelous to the child. He sees as his mother does with the eyes of his soul. She represents the way of love and mercy, where the father tries to teach his son the world’s way of putting oneself first. Each parent contends for his allegiance, and Jack must reconcile their claims. The picture darkens as he has his first glimpses of sickness, suffering and death. The world, once a thing of glory, becomes a labyrinth.

The Tree Of Life opens on May 27th. I know you already know what we’re talking about, and I’m sure you’re happy to hear that Terrence Malick‘s project is coming soon. So today we’re here to have a little chat about this quite interesting drama that, by the way, has an awesome cast – Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and Jessica Chastain.
Ok, the release date is May 27th, but according to IMDb, people in France will have a chance to see it first, on May 18th, 2011. So, we could talk about a premiere of The Tree Of Life at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, which will run from May 11-22 …? Of course, we don’t know it yet but still, we hope.
And that’s not all, because, thanks to guys from TheFilmStage, we now have even 72 new images from the movie to share with you!

I first read Francesca Lia Block's book Weetzie Bat as a teen, and it immediately shot to the top of my list of Favorite Books Ever. Even now, I give the omnibus of Weetzie Bat stories, Dangerous Angels, to friends as gifts.
Weetzie Bat is a young girl living in Los Angeles who hates high school because, of course, no one understands. But what they don't understand is the magic around them. She wears cowboy boots and feathered headdresses and sometimes roller skates, and her best friend is a handsome guy with a Mohawk named Dirk. When he comes out to her, she just says that it's cool because now they can go looking for their true loves together; that's just how Weetzie rolls. Weetzie builds her own family of friends and lovers throughout Block's books, and while the stories don't shy away from the dark side of life at all -- AIDs,...

Chicago – Hardcore movie lovers know the joy of finding a clever comedy or taut thriller that they had never even heard of before they went to the video store. What’s more exciting? Having your preview-determined opinions confirmed or finding something totally off the beaten path? It may not be perfect, but Russ Pond’s consistently interesting “Fissure” could be the hidden gem you’re looking for this weekend.
DVD Rating: 3.5/5.0 Perhaps it’s because of my theatrical background, but I have a certain affinity for small-cast, one-set films like “Fissure”. Like a lot of indie movies, “Fissure” keeps it simple in both setting and cast with only a few speaking roles and generally one set.
Fissure was released on DVD on August 11th, 2009.
