Actress Christina Applegate, who famously played the character of Amy Green (Jennifer Aniston’s Rachel Green’s sister) in the American sitcom ‘Friends’, is clapping back against hate comments about her looks.
The actress, 51, said she reached out to someone on social media who commented on a recent article about her and her daughter at the Critics Choice Awards and received a startling message in response, reports ‘People’ magazine.
“Sooooo I made the unfortunate decision to look at some comments on an article from ‘People’ about me and my kids at the Cca,” Applegate tweeted. “Of course I told her that it wasn’t nice. This was her reply.”
Alongside the tweet, she shared a screenshot of the messages that the person appeared to send, which read, “Ms (multiple sclerosis) didn’t make you look that way a plastic surgeon did. And you are a scammer and are not (Christina) Applegate.

British Director Sam Baron’s sensitive and hilarious exploration of the fragility of masculinity is something we have come to love here at Directors Notes and so we’re happy to see him continue to mine that rich vein in his latest short Big Ears. After his successful collaboration with Amit Shah on tragicomedy The Orgy, Baron was keen to dive into another project with the actor and build upon the relationship they had built both on and off the screen. Further motivation came from his collaboration last year with fellow Dn alum Chloë Wicks on Fragile Package, which proved the effectiveness of the micro-budget short as a way to bypass the obstacles which can often hold filmmakers back from creating new work. Big Ears follows the engaging Shah as health food shop assistant/struggling actor Kaan as he navigates a rather woeful life both personally and professionally, with Baron...

On Friday, August 19, 2022 Amy and Gary Green are hosting an evening fundraiser at their home in Bridgehampton, New York to support the philanthropic and conservation efforts of the African Community & Conservation Fund (Accf) and Tusk, a UK-based charity headed up by Royal Patron, Prince William.
The “Karibu Africa” soireé will raise money to help Accf’s and Tusk’s many community outreach programs, wildlife protection and anti-poaching efforts, including initiatives to improve livelihoods and combat rising food poverty in East & Southern Africa, particularly Tanzania, Rwanda, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
Covid-19 devastated jobs and livelihoods across the African continent, and with few economic recovery resources, decades of conservation and community upliftment success has been put at risk. Moreover, Russia’s war in Ukraine has collaterally created a global food crisis, as wheat and other grain shipments to Africa have been cut off or dangerously delayed.

Yes, there was the legend that Marilyn Monroe wore nothing but Chanel No. 5 to bed. While that might have been the '50s idea of product placement, for the real answer, we turn to Monroe's close friend Amy Greene, who visited HuffPost Live to set the record straight.
So, what was the sexpot's idea of pajamas? A bra. A big bra. (Not as in cup size, though we're sure that might have been the case, but in terms of construction -- Greene likens it to "what we wore in a convent.")
There was a certain logic to Monroe's choice of bed wear. Check out the video above to find out just what inspired this unorthodox approach to a good night's rest, and then tell us: Have you ever worn a bra to bed?

She's one of -- if not the -- most iconic bombshell in cinematic history. And two days before what would have been Marilyn Monroe's 87th birthday, her closest friend Amy Greene was on HuffPost Live to discuss why we're still in love with the troubled legend.
"Every generation: young boys -- they have the poster in the bedroom. Middle-aged men... and on, and on, and on, and on," Greene said.
Greene -- who is quite the brassy lady -- shares details of how she and the then reclusive star first met and why she hated the most recent Marilyn Monroe flick "My Week With Marilyn" in the video above.
Why do you think pop culture can't get enough of Marilyn? Let us know in the comments.

The new film "My Week With Marilyn" tells the story of a brief yet wondrous puppy dog love affair between Marilyn Monroe and a young gofer on the set of "The Prince and the Showgirl." Michelle Williams has drawn raves for total inhabiting of Monroe, but while her performance may ring authentic, there are new questions being asked about the truthfulness of the story on which the film is based.
A new article in the La Times digs deep into the alleged affair between Monroe and Colin Clark, the then-gofer who would go on to write the two books that inspired the film: "The Prince, the Showgirl and Me," and "My Week With Marilyn." The latter describes the short fling between Clark and Monroe, who is portrayed as desperate for love in a foreign land and distraught by misgivings over her new husband, Arthur Miller.

Amy Greene’s Bloodroot seems almost destined to become one of those warm, wise novels that turns into a word-of-mouth sensation that moms try to push on their adult kids at Christmas. It has the folksy use of language, the homey sense of the culture of the South, and the occasionally dark plotting that stares—but never too deeply—into the blackest heart of man. And Greene’s novel is undeniably appealing, in the way its weird swirl of Southern Gothic and bleak domestic drama keeps the pages turning. But the overall impression the novel leaves is lacking. Greene is ...
