Archival Looks, Recycled Materials and Lab Grown Jewels Puts Spotlight on Sustainability at Met Gala
Fashion’s biggest night is star-studded event all around — usually with a focus on new clothes — but this year a less talked-about topic joined the conversation at the Met Gala in a big way: sustainability.
Monday night’s event kicked off with La La Anthony, a red carpet co-host for Vogue‘s livestream, proudly declaring that she was wearing “pre-loved vintage accessories” from eBay. The announcement set the stage for some of the celebrities who Anthony and her co-hosts, Gwendoline Christie and Ashley Graham, interviewed throughout the night who also showcased their sustainable red-carpet choices.
Designer Stella McCartney was joined by actress and model Cara Delevingne, singer FKA Twigs and singer Ed Sheeran on the Met Gala red carpet. The British designer created custom looks for each of her guests, all made from 100 percent sustainable materials.
The designer’s brand collaborated with sustainable jewelry company Vrai for Delevingne’s and Sheeran’s looks.

Ed Sheeran played his first U.S. gig since September at Dodger Stadium on Thursday night, in support of the organization’s Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation efforts to improve education, healthcare and homelessness in the city.
This year’s Blue Diamond Gala — dubbed the “Party for L.A.” — kicked off with a set by Grammy-winning DJ Anderson .Paak taking the centerfield stage as his alter ego, DJ Pee .Wee, to spin an all-vinyl set that featured hits from Boyz II Men, Justin Timberlake and Missy Elliott.
Dodgers and SportsNet L.A. reporter Kirsten Watson then introduced Dodgers owner Mark Walter, who stunned the crowd with a $50 million donation from the squad’s ownership group — with a vow to double that sum should his heavily favored and star-studded team win the 2024 World Series.
“It’s important we give back and help the most important causes in Los Angeles,” Walter said, stressing he wanted to ensure the L.

Jamie Foxx is known for his work as an actor, starring in massive projects like Django Unchained, Ray, The Burial, and They Cloned Tyrone. In the early years of his career, however, things were certainly less gilded for him. In 2007, the actor started his own talk-radio program called The Foxxhole, piggybacking off the fame he had gained through projects like Collateral and Ali, as well as the recognition he got for winning an Oscar for Ray.

Rod Stewart has taken a swipe at fellow UK musician Ed Sheeran, dissing not only the pop star’s music, but also his hair color.
In a recent interview with The Times, Stewart was asked whether he thought timeless songs were still being made, like his own “Maggie May.” While Stewart was trying to remember the name of a “really talented” British artist, the interviewer brought up Sheeran, prompting Stewart to roast the international superstar.
“No, not Ed, I don’t know any of his songs, old ginger bollocks,” Stewart scoffed.
Considering Sheeran has landed seven straight No. 1 albums on the UK charts and released inescapable hits like “Shape of You” and “Thinking Out Loud,” we’re not quite sure how Stewart has escaped his music, but ignorance must be bliss.

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran performed for a tough crowd in Japan. The ‘Shape of You’ Hitmaker, 32, recently returned to the same cat cafe where he sang ‘Thinking Out Loud’ to a group of uninterested felines in 2014. The cats didn’t become fans over the 10 years Sheeran was away. In a video Sheeran posted to Instagram Tuesday, the musician appears with an acoustic guitar surrounded by several feasting felines, reports People magazine.
As soon as Sheeran attempts his first strum, most of the cats quickly scatter, forgetting their food to escape the music. “Trying to win over the same kitties that ran away from me in 2014, same results,” Sheeran playfully captioned the post.
The social media clip starts with Sheeran asking the collection of cats, “Who wants to hear a song?” After the cats respond by fleeing, Sheeran gives a slight pout. “It was not more successful than my last visit,” Sheeran said.

50 Cent fans at the London stop of the rapper’s “Final Lap Tour” got a surprise when the rapper welcomed Ed Sheeran onstage to perform “Shape of You.”
Fiddy’s performance was in full swing at the O2 Arena on Tuesday (November 21st) — celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ — when a cube descended onto the stage digitally adorned with the message: “There is a monster in this box.”
Moments later, Sheeran emerged from underneath the stage — sans acoustic guitar — as the familiar open chords from his 2017 megahit “Shape of You” chimed in. Screams of excitement from concertgoers filled the arena as they were told by 50 Cent to “turn it up even more!” Sheeran watched the rest of the set from the crowd, rapping along to hits like “In the Club.”
After the performance, the rapper posted a picture of the duo backstage, writing:...

English singer-songwriter Passenger has transformed his breakthrough hit, “Let Her Go,” into a duet featuring Ed Sheeran.
The new version of the song arrived Friday, Nov. 10, as part of a special 10th anniversary edition of Passenger’s hit 2013 album, All the Little Lights. Passenger re-recorded the entire LP, enlisting artists like Sheeran, Foy Vance, Gabrielle Aplin, and Nina Nesbitt to help him reimagine the songs.

Leading up to the Grammy nominations on Nov. 10, Rolling Stone is breaking down 16 different categories. For each, we’re predicting the nominees, as well as who will (and who should) win on Grammy night.
You might think that Taylor Swift would dominate in this category, but she has just one win out of four nominations. It’s likely that voters think of Swift as so strong in the general fields that they don’t mark their ballot for her here. Miley Cyrus has a good shot, but her smash hit...

Once again, celebrities went all-out for their Halloween party looks — and seemingly didn’t given a second thought to those SAG-AFTRA rules against specific pop culture costumes for striking actors (which even Saturday Night Live mocked). Below is a roundup of the most striking looks, from Halloween queen Heidi Klum’s incredible velvet peacock to Ed Sheeran’s murder doll Chucky, as well as Adele’s Morticia Addams and Zoë Kravitz as Mia Farrow’s character from Rosemary’s Baby.
Klum told The Hollywood Reporter her costume took six hours to put on. “I wanted to do something with a lot of people, so when we’re all crunched together in a certain position we become one,” she said. “And I thought of a peacock because you can fan out, and I wanted to do it with artists and acrobats.”

Ed Sheeran performed Saturday night in Las Vegas, home of the Killers, so naturally he added “Mr. Brightside” to the setlist. As an added bonus, Brandon Flowers also joined in on the performance.
“There’s this one person I want to bring out. He’s from Vegas,” Sheeran — dressed as Chucky for the pre-Halloween concert at Allegiant Stadium — told the crowd. “We’re gonna the song that is essentially like my country’s national anthem,” a nod to how “Mr. Brightside” was recently named the most streamed song in U.

Ed Sheeran is known for his musicianship, thoughtful lyrics, and way of interpreting thoughts and feelings into unforgettable songs. However, his generosity expands beyond the world of music. Sheeran has found a way to memorialize the most significant moments of those closest to him by building a structure on his property that houses a grave where he and others close to him will be laid to rest. Here are all the details.
Rumors of a grave are true, says Ed Sheeran, but it’s much more than that
In an interview with GQ Magazine, Ed Sheeran confirmed rumors he has a grave located on his property. However, the structure where the grave is located is much more than that, he explains.
“I wouldn’t say it’s a crypt,” he clarified. Consequently, the structure is a chapel.
Sheeran built the chapel to house the cremated remains of people closest to him who had died.

Taylor Swift announced the official release date for "1989 (Taylor's Version)" this August, but some fans have their eyes on what they think will be the next rerecording after that: "Reputation (Taylor's Version)." Fans got a small preview of one of the album's songs when a snippet of "Delicate (Taylor's Version)" surfaced from a season two episode of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" on Aug. 3, indicating that the rerecorded version is definitely in progress. And on Aug. 23, Amazon Prime Video released the trailer for its upcoming series "Wilderness," and it features the first snippet of "Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version)."
However, fans may still have to wait a while for the album, as Ed Sheeran - who appears on the track "End Game" on the original "Reputation" - revealed this summer that he hadn't yet been back to the studio to work on the new version. In an Aug.

An update on the crypt Ed Sheeran was trying to build at his huge England estate: It’s real.
Sheeran confirmed the existence of the catacombs in a new interview with GQ, but he’s not too fond of the C-word. “I wouldn’t say it’s a crypt,” he told the magazine. “It’s a hole that’s dug in the ground with a bit of stone over it, so whenever the day comes and I pass away, I get to go in there.”
To clarify, the gravesite exists underneath a chapel Sheeran had already built at his $5 million Suffolk home. As he details in the GQ profile, most of the loved ones he’s lost in life were cremated, so he never felt he was able to mourn them in the same way a burial provides. The chapel, complete with flint-lined walls, a spiral-staircase tower, a lead roof,...

Ed Sheeran found out the hard way that he can’t hang with Snoop Dogg — by smoking way too much weed, of course. During a recent appearance on the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast, the singer revealed that a smoke sesh with the rapper led to Sheeran getting so high he couldn’t see.
Sheeran recalled attending a Snoop Dogg show in Melbourne with his wife and mother-in-law. After meeting the family — and greeting Sheeran’s mother-in-law with a cheery “What’s up, queen?” — Snoop took Sheeran back stage, where he and his entourage began smoking “blunt for blunt for blunt for blunt.”
Despite not normally smoking himself, the singer recalled thinking he’d have to partake in the practice just to say he smoked with Snoop Dogg. “I have a bit and I’m like, ‘I don’t feel too bad, this is good,'” Sheeran said. “Then I have a bit more,...
