The Saint - the Modern Day Robin Hood of crime-fighting.

by alexanderdavies-99382 | created - 19 Mar 2020 | updated - 07 Apr 2022 | Public

Despite all the people associated with the character of Simon Templar, there is only one true version in my opinion and that is Roger Moore. After nearly 7 years and 118 episodes, Moore had made the character one of the most popular to appear on television. I still rate it as the definitive series from "ITC." Early episodes tended to resemble mysteries and whodunits before it all changed from 1966. Templar was something of a lone wolf when it came to fighting crime and seemed to prefer it that way. Like Bond, the Saint maintained a cool exterior and relied on his own wits. Unlike Bond, he never had to answer to any superior.
