Better than therapy

One of the most wholesome shows I've seen. I had a smile on my face the entire time I was watching it.

Beautifully shot and well acted

The cinematography and colours were excellent. Acting was top notch.

Yet there was something lacking. The character of the wife felt very...one dimensional and overly consumed by her grief. Although understandable I wish we saw her get some closure in the end regarding the entire situation. The best character for me was Jay. He was beautifully fleshed out & made me shed a tear or two.

Disappointing

This show had so much potential which was squandered of by the writer in pursuit of overly complex story telling. The first episode sets the scene really nicely and things just nosedive from there. The main character is a survivor of the Rawandan genocide and is played well by Michaela Coel. Unfortunately the badly written script doesn't do justice to her acting chops.

Brilliant TV!

I discovered this on a plane ride and devoured the whole series then and there. It's well written and the two main characters are extremely well played.

Great contestants bad judges
6 February 2019
The real star of this show is the diversity and peculiarity of British architecture plus the contestants. You see presumably amateur designers use only 3 days to transform some very interesting looking spaces. I was also blown away by the various types of houses in Britain. It's a small country but clearly with a rich history and culture.

With that said the judges are awful. Their critique is overly pretentious and non sensical. Sometimes they appear to find fault with the design for the sake of finding a fault. Listening to their comments is painful because they nitpick and make fun of the smallest of things.

Overall good show but the judges really need to work on providing constructive criticism.
