When you think about it, The 100 started with 100 kids sent to Earth as lab rats to check if the planet is still livable. Pretty much everything was basic and normal. No weird technology, no enemies, no difficult tasks. They were just sent there to explore and see if they can stay alive on the planet. Also to send information to The Ark so they come down as well and survive together.
However they soon find out they are not the only ones living in that forest and some people (The Grounders) managed to live just fine on the radioactive Earth.Nothing weird yet!
Great, season 2 comes out, The Ark kids make friends with The Grounders, they even get in love, The Ark people manage to come down as well. When they notice there are also OTHER People living on the planet as well: The Mount Weather people, armed and dangerous. Nice, we are making progress here. However, nothing out of the ordinary right? Well not yet. Because after fighting and being angry and killing everyone they meet there's a new place to go: The City of Light. But this is just briefly presented.
Season 3 is here now, meaning a new enemy in town, by the name of ALIE. She is not real, just a very smart A.I., which manages to control a lot of people with some silicon CPU's (sort of). Oh and did I mention this happens in Season 2 as well with Lexa? But there is only a small spoiler for this, is just called The Commander.
Now things start to get weird from now on. AI? Computers? Technology? Brain wash? Niceeee
For Season 4 the main enemy of this season is chosen to be Mother Nature herself, called Praimfaya locally. Just some minor radioactive mist which is AI controlled by ALIE and which cannot be stopped. So what is the biggy? Well everyone has to leave Earth ASAP otherwise they will be transformed into pizza. Also people carry on to kill each other, to betray, to make human experiments like in the previous 4 seasons. All in the name of survivability of course.
Season 5 shows us how people managed to survive separated (some in space and some in a bunker) while Clarke (the SuperWoman of The 100 series) rambles on the surface of Earth because she is Special (Excuse me, I meant to say Nightblood). Oh and did I mentioned that some new people want a piece of Earth as well? Yeah, they are called Eligius IV and they are lead by Colonel Diyoza. They just want a piece of the Eden. Your mind is confused yet? Well it should be!!!
Now for Season 6, the Earth is a late-cooked meatball which is not suitable for living anymore, no matter if you are a squirrel or a Nightblood or a plant. So our heroes have left Earth with the Eligius 4 ship and thanks to Monty they managed to find another planet to destroy (excuse me, to live on I meant to say). They find there a population sent from Earth more than 200 years ago with the ship Eligius 3 (which was a very secret mission, and took Monty 30 years to decode). And guess what, they start a conflict with that population, because why not. Clarke really likes to kill people ALL in the name of surviving, right? Because her people are special and need to live longer than others. Anyways, some guys die and some guys appear in the series! And did I mentioned these people have the power of immortality? Guess what, is the same silicon CPU which ALIE used in season 3. But is for a good cause now. And ALIE doesn't control it anymore. Cute isn't it? So they need a lot of Nightbloods to survive and only Clarke's people have this ability. Great plot!
So what is the end of this? Well, after all that technology and murders and walls of electricity and blood and weird relationships, something new must come into play. Guess what: is called The Anomaly. Some weird alien artifact with some weird numbers on it which nobody knows what is it or what is it being used for. And only Octavia is the only one which got into The Anomaly and got out healthy. That's cute! So the season 6 ended with a huge gap and I am very confused and not satisfied.
So who knows what season 7 will bring to us. Will The Anomaly be the Enemy? Time will Tell!
But from 100 kids sent to Earth to check the surface until this point in time there is a huge time gap and lots of science fiction happening!
