The Comedians of Comedy (2005)
I'm gonna lay down my burden down by the riverside...
this movie is great in fact i'm watching it right now.i'll just say maria does not subtract coolness but she's not as funny. I find Zach G. to be the funniest person on the tour. the "bear" thing was terrific.. so funny. BTW is maria bi... anyway hope this isn't a spoiler.it's so funny i like the "if i keep my ice cube trays clean..." thing because that's exactly how i am...my friends and i are like comedians in training so this movie shows us that we do not want that career but that we love joking around and to take things seriously would be impossible. I love the Fat Jesus idea.. it was the best of Zach's ideas. I think i might just buy this DVD and it was a show on comedy central so i might persuade them into putting the 1 season on DVD also.
Garden State (2004)
buzzed
This movie left me in such a buzz. It made me feel so much better about my problems. The music was so insanely awesome that i would watch the movie just to hear the last song(let go, by frou frou). The depressing aspects of the movie are what make it so interesting and likable to me. I mean the fact that Sam had epilepsy didn't have the normal affect that terminal disease would have on me. I felt sorry but it wasn;t much of a big deal in the movie. I also wanted to have a love like Sam's and Zach Braff's character.. it was so beautiful and it was really .....something different.I've never experienced something like that and i wish that if i feel love that it feels like that. It was the most mellow movie i've ever watched. never before have i felt so comfortable in my own skin.
Hair (1979)
beautiful
I feel so free when i watch this musical. I think it reflects how i would've acted if i lived then(in the 60's). BTW i would've been dead by now. It's my favorite musical... no matter what i've said before this is absolutely the best musical/movie because it always makes me feel good. and i always cry at the end when they're all at Berger's tombstone in the Vietnam cemetery. I always pull my hair down and dance around in hippie clothes and sing with my doors and windows open. I guess i'm a musical type of person... because HAIR IS THE BEST... i could just imagine myself in the 60's doing the exact same things with all of my friends. Having the same problems and the same "hobbies" i guess you could say. i suggest every child should watch it at 12 or 14.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)
hilarious
yet again as a young person, i love this movie. My friends and i did a "lipsynch" performance at our school to the song "Time Warp" and got 2nd place.I vowed after that day to buy the DVD. IT'S THE BEST!!!! The first time i watched the movie my mom had just rented the old school version(aka VHS) and told me that" i should so watch it.. it's the best... my first R rated movie" . To understand the movie you must have a little bit of personality. It's a good way to test if someone's a complete conformist, because if they are they'll hate the movie until you say otherwise. If you're really stuck up and ,i hate to say it, have a one track mind i doubt you'll like this. But that's just people that lack a soul and brain. It's so much better when you're watching it with friends, making comments, having fun, singing along... it's a really involved movie, well to me. If you can sit through the whole hour and 30 minutes and stay absolutely silent...i'd suggest to your family to call a hospital..because you've died. RHPS is for the strongly opinionated, different, and the strange... which i totally fit in with. No matter how many people bad talk this movie, i completely suggest that everyone watch it at least once before they can actually disrespect it. BTW the UK version is no better it just includes about 1 minutes of extra song.... really crappy song.
Jesus Christ Superstar (1973)
i will now watch every musical i see
I'm probably the youngest person to even see this movie. Every time i watch it i practically break out in goosebumps from the powerful music. As a 16 yr old,i find this movie AMAZING, i mean AMAZING!!!!!! You don't even need to care about religion(though it helps) to love this movie. My all time favorite song is Could We start again please because it makes me nearly cry when i hear it. My favorite scenes are the ones with the ..what are they magistrates or w/e because of there voices.. i swear if i knew anyone whose voice was that whiny and/or deep i might just show it off and make fun of it myself. The only parts i really didn't like were the images that they portrayed Jesus in (e.g: in could we start again Jesus shrugs ...... would Jesus shrug.. heck no; also, he was so skinny and short and ....not Jesus looking..i mean they must've based it on the fact that he had long hair and a mini-beard.. and he could sing). But back to the point. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Jesus Christ Superstar. The first time i had ever heard about this movie/musical i swore to myself that i'd never watch it because it sounded sacrilegious to make a rock musical about Jesus' life and to only cover Matthew and John. And my mom told me it was a waste of time so i put off watching it for 2 years and i think that was the worst mistake of my life.. because when i finally watched it i was speechless. Mary Magdelene and Judas, Oh my gosh, the best singers of the whole thing. My life was so influenced. I recommend that anyone who doubts the Christian religion, hates musicals, and/or is a hypocritical idiot should watch this musical because it can seriously change lives.
