Beautiful film!
15 January 2006
An absolutely beautifully orchestrated film. From the music to the carefully planned fight sequences, this film is a fantastic addition to the amazing martial art books. I'm not usually one for the subtitled films, but subtitles are not needed to watch this. The body language and expressions of the characters tell a story all on their own, captivating audiences within action driven orientated scenes. Martial art films are not really my favourite choice of film, mainly due to the continuous fighting scenes, which although very cleverly planned, get slightly repetitive. However, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon has an interesting, evocative narrative that brings you into the individual character's experiences and lives, rather than just continuously viewing none stop kung fu etc.

If you want a romantic, adventure flick with a beautiful soundtrack and depth then this film is a must see!!!

Absolutely Dragontastic!!!

Not much for animation usually but this film changed all that. I first watched it when I was younger and until recently hadn't watched it for a while. But after seeing it again it gave me a hunger again and again. If you're into the mystical, fantasy escapism in films and if you love dragons and wizards then this is a definite must see. It has beautifully designed beasts (dragons, ogres, worms etc) not just in design but in naming and essence which is definitely worthy of the book by Peter Dickinson. I'm a complete dragon lover now and love nothing more than watching a film that drops you into a fantasy pool through narrative and colour. And if you're the kind of person who likes a good musical soundtrack to go with, then this is a definite yes. This should be seen by children and adults alike. It's definitely one of my favourites and after you've seen it I'm sure it'll be yours too!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003)
Reality Escaping Wonder!

Wow!I can't explain how much I love this series.I've got the whole collection and I can't stop watching it.I'm a big vampire fan, but this film goes way further than the typical vampire flick. If you like witty remarks and fresh comical characters, you've got to see this series. Joss Whedon has come a long way from his "Kristy Swanson" Buffy film, which was somewhat dry.The series script however, is fantastic and each episode makes you hooked on seeing the next and the next. OK so the Buffy dying a number of times gets a bit old after a while, but other areas such as the comedy, between usually ferocious demons talking and acting like normal people, compensates with an insightful eye and adds something which hasn't been seen before on this level. If you can't decide which genre to watch tonight? I'd suggest getting a couple of series of this gem and watch how your appetite grows.

A must must see!

Fantastic film!I saw it about 9 years ago and I can't stop watching it now. I thought that because you had so many famous actors like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Antonio Banderas etc that the film would be overwhelmed by the cast and divert away from the story. This is really isn't so. The script is rich and powerful and the actors have just intensified the storyline. There's not many effects in it which makes it even more intriguing compared to it's sister film "Queen Of The Damned."But if you're looking for a classic film, with fantastic gore and script worthy of the books, then I'd see this. There are many vampire flicks on the market, but this one has got to be the best vampire genre film I have ever seen. Vampire lovers?U gotta see this!!!
