BTS: DNA (2017)
Love it
LOVE this band!! They cheer me right up when I'm feeling down!
They're inspiring and fun to watch.
How to Get Away with Murder (2014)
I'd give it more stars if I could
Absolutely fantastic on every level!
Well written, directed and top notch acting from all actors.
Every season Is as good the last.
A must.
The Hole in the Ground (2019)
Decent film
It's a good film with a decent enough story line and some jumps. I can see why people would link mental health into it but it' s not good enough to psychoanalyse the crap out of. Just enjoy the scares.
The War of the Worlds (2019)
If you like quality British BBC drama. Please watch.
Wow this is a fantastic remake! Well directed, acted and beautiful to watch. I honestly think others were expecting something else, it follows the story in it's own way. Brilliant. I'd watch it again in a heartbeat.
Happy Death Day (2017)
Very enjoyable
I LOVED this ground hog day / slasher type movie. It's lots of fun and doesn't take itself seriously at all. Why anyone would choose to watch a film called Happy Death Day and then go on and complain I have no idea. Enjoy!
Criminal: UK (2019)
Disappointed
I started this with high hopes. David Tennant started off well but ended predictively. The second is extremely dull. It feels like the actors are improvising and failing well. Like it's made up and they're losing their way. ExtremeIy dragged out and disappointing. Personally i felt it was a complete waste of my time. Others may well thoroughly enjoy it. But thumbs down from me.
iZombie (2015)
Fantastic viewing
Love it. Great acting...interesting twist on how zombies can survive and be able to live within society. The characters are likeable and you can see them progress throughout. Some I disliked at the beginning but I gradually began to like them. My favourite characters are the gorgeous Ravi and surprisingly enough Blaine.
A great watch. Funny and interesting how they're treated by others once they're out. Would recommend.
Crawlspace (2016)
I've seen worse
I enjoyed this film. Keeps you guessing for a while and the there's enough to keep your attention. Good scares.
Only annoyance was the dad. He didn't fit the part/ wasn't believable as her dad.
All in all not as bad as what everyone else is saying. Worth a watch IMO.
Cargo (2017)
Emotional
A zombie film with feeling, love and emotion. It's good to watch this genre of film made in different ways.
I admit for me it does go on a tad too long, but the ending made up for it.
A well respected and very well made film.
El Hijo (2019)
Do the housework instead
I found the dubbing actor gave the main character a rather passive aggressive vibe....even when he was being genuine.
Also you know a bad film when they start pretty quick with a sex scene.
None of the characters were at all likeable. I was glad when it finished. Gets you thinking but honestly it's not worth the brain power.
Should have sorted the washing out instead.
Black Summer (2019)
Edge of your seat
I am loving this show!
It's raw and straight to the point.
It shows you the different characters and what they go through and how they all come together at some point.
I honestly don't understand the bad reviews. It's jumpy and scary and keeps you on the edge of your seat shouting at the screen. Enjoy
Chambers (2019)
Expected better
I went in expecting more after reading the IMDb comments...got to say it was a tad disappointing. I don't regret watching it, but I've seen better.
Worth a watch if you're bored.
Doctor Foster (2015)
Excellent drama
As a woman who's been in a similar relationship to this, i found this hard to watch. It's not over the top or unrealistic... it's spot on. There are men and women out there who have these issues and ruin their partners and children's lives.
Brilliantly thought out and acted by all.
Well done to all involved. Hope they make more like this.
The Girl with All the Gifts (2016)
Brilliant
Thoroughly enjoyed this film. It hits on your emotions and the girl did remind me a tad of Seven out of Stranger Things at times.
Would recommend it if you like this type of genre.
What/If (2019)
Pleasantly surprised
I loved this!
Gripping throughout and not entirely predictable.
Each story line entwined but different with its own message.
Personally I enjoyed the relationship between the men the most. Touching with a sense of loving humour.
Lots of twists and turns that you don't expect.
Roll on season two!!!!
Homeland (2011)
Brilliantly exhausting
A very long season 1. I did enjoy this season, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that wanted Brody to push that bloody button.
Loved it and hated it.
Mandy Patinkin is the only likeable character for me. But brilliant acting by most. The wife annoys the crap out of me.
Feel sorry for Carrie as she's obviously brilliant at her job but her Bipolar causes her to over obsess which makes her behave in a crazy manner, So she's easily targeted and ignored.
Will have to wait at least a month to rev up the energy for the next season. Peace out!!
Lo imposible (2012)
An insult
Awful. An insult to the people that suffered through the actual event.
I usually like Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor but not in this film, using unknown Spanish actors would have suited better, of course we can see why they chose such well known actors, it just seemed disrespectful to glamourise it with Hollywood bull crap. Over acted and an embarrassment in my opinion.
I give this three stars, Tom Holland, the extras and the special effects during the first part of the film. Such a shame as it could have been a very effective film over all.
The Silence (2019)
Enjoyed it
This is based on a book that was out in 2015, so it came before A Quiet Place. This film, I thought, was better than A Quiet Place. There seems a lot more going on and it's more tense. I definitely found myself holding my breath throughout. Glad I watched it.
Our House (2018)
Flipping good
This film is very well made and the young actors are brilliant. Gripping from beginning to end.
Glad I chose to watch it.
The Breaker Upperers (2018)
Bonkers
Don't take it seriously at all. It made me laugh out loud.
Dirty John (2018)
Infuriating
Brilliant. Eric Banna plays this part perfectly. He gets right under your skin, I was on the edge of my seat constantly shouting at the screen haha, I absolutely hated him.
Having been in an abusive relationship myself with such an angry and manipulating person, I understood why she would stay and try and save him. The actors all do a remarkable job. If you like American Psycho style films. This is perfect.
Russian Doll (2019)
Addictive
Bloody loved this....watched in two evenings.
The main character is so fascinating to watch. You just want more.
Gotta say the ending was a bit boring. For me. It was too perfect. I wanted a twist. Definitely worth a watch though.
A Quiet Place (2018)
Intense
I always imagine what I'd do in that position. At first I complained I would never let my kids walk behind me if I knew there were human eating aliens around.
But I guess they'd been there a while and didn't want to over protect them...I'd also have removed that bloomin nail in the step. Ouch
Either way. The film is what you'd expect from an alien film. Jumpy...Intense and about family sticking together and protecting each other.
A tad predictable. Don't over think it. Just go with it.
Love (2016)
Roller coaster
Wow this show had me going through all kinds of emotions. The relationship between the main characters was perfectly portrayed. Two people from different lives coming together and learning about each other. It wasn't all soppy romance just to please the viewer. They had to try hard to understand the other.
Very raw and exhausting to watch at times. Of course it was silly too and the characters were hard to like. (Bertie was my favourite)
But the main message that I received was that relationships take a lot of hard work. As we all know to an extent. But this series really lays it out there for all to see.
I was happy it ended as I needed a break.....emotionally.
I do hope to see more seasons in the next few years.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)
I feel sorry for Eddie
The scenes with Eddie and the creatures are amazing. The rest is just embarrassing. Cringing in my pants.
