I was a bit worried that Black Summer was going to be a bit campy like Z Nation was, but, it's definitely more serious in tone. For those unfamiliar, Black Summer is a prequel to Syfy's (cancelled) zombie drama called "Z Nation". Black Summer itself is a catastrophic event where civilization completely fell (due to starvation, dehydration and disease). There are similarities to TWD universe, but, in particular Fear the Walking Dead.
