Marvel Studios: Legends (2021)
Reminiscing or needing a recap - this has you covered
Depends how you wish to interpret these shorts and if you're a true fanatic, but if you like reminiscing or in need of a recap, these shorts have you covered. Am episode usually runs concurrently with the Disney+ Show/movie that gets released, this show has you covered ready!
The Movies That Made Us (2019)
Good watch, irritating narrator in Season 2
They guy that narrates season two is irritating, still overall a good programme.
The Stand (2020)
Make your own mind up, not by reviews
This is an update version of a 90's TV adaptation of on of Stephen Kings greats. The reviews here are too harsh for the reality. Great acting with a great cast. Yes there are areas of improvement but you can't take away the good points from this. Well worth a watch.
13 Reasons Why (2017)
Hard topics, real issues, great acting
It's easy to say out of the four seasons "which one was best" or "my favourite season was" but looking at it as a whole, this was a well needed series, showcasing hard hitting issues through the eyes of school children. As a gay man, now 34 years old, I only wish something like this was more accessible or talked about when I was in high school. EVERY single topic throughout the four seasons were done with grace, compassion and honesty. The whole cast and crew should be incredibly proud of what has just ended. Bravo!!
No Escape (2015)
Solid message and edge of your seat action
No Escape was a welcomed surprise. Like other reviews. I was also sceptical watching an action with Owen Wilson In but I was proven wrong. A clear message of how western governments have interest in Asian countries and several edge of your seat moments throughout the film. The acting was superb and the story was captivating from the start. Deserves a much higher score. A must watch!
The Sweetest Thing (2002)
Perfect film for a couch day
Dumb and slapstick comedy but full of laughs all the way through. Perfect for a duvet day where you can watch and laugh without thinking. Better than some low scores on here.
Ma (2019)
Suburb acting,
The acting was good and Octavia Spencer shows her true profession as always. A few parts to make you jump and a well written story alas somewhat predictable. It went from nothing to something 3/4 way through. Worth watching.
Beautiful Thing (1996)
A traditional love story
Live this film. Nostalgia and love! Has a bit of everything, laughs, drama the lot. Heart touching and realistic.
Drunk Parents (2019)
Baffled
I just don't understand this film. Two fabulous talents star in a film that clearly was written in a hurry with a ridiculous idea.
