Bad Ben 7: The Haunted Highway (2019)
Less is more Nigel...you prove it here
Nigel had so much character & charisma, i love his accent & his whole attitude to the psychos he encounters. There was a lot of room for my imagination to fear the worst, which many films seem to ignore.
A really impressive watch, considering it's homemade on a shoe-string. Not a lot was over-the-top, so applause from me 👏
Den skyldige (2018)
Intensely acted, i really rooted for the lead to triumph!
The Guilty is superbly acted and makes you think about your judgement and how simple it is to make a bad situation worse. I was glued to the screen, loved the twists and applaud the tension.
Bad Ben: Steelmanville Road (2017)
Starts ok but the acting becomes frustratingly wooden in the 2nd half
I enjoyed Bad Ben, it was simple and left a lot to your imagination. Steelmanville Road began promisingly but once the old lady was introduced, it slid downhill. She was just not convincing or creepy enough.
Nevertheless, compared to a lot of horror films i've seen, it was ok. Just hoping the other films in the series are better.
Voodoo Rising (2016)
High school drama club could have written better!
Amateurish would be a compliment, i literally gave 1 star because a couple of people are pretty. As for the script,acting,dialogue......poor.
Didn't make any sense, wish i hadn't given it a chance.
Blow a Kiss (2017)
Woman gets talking to people in a deserted bar and agrees to do something crazy for a sum of money. But all is not as it seems.
Only gave this film 2 stars for the actress who plays the lead because she was reasonable in an otherwise bad film. I don't mind low budget but this is not good at all. I expected to be entertained but I was bored and really do not recommend Blow A Kiss to anybody. On the plus side, 'Joy' has wonderful hair which someone should get credit for.
In the Woods (2010)
A woman begrudgingly goes camping with her husband, but when a strange man appears, unease and paranoia set in.
In the Woods is a regular 'lets go camping in the middle of nowhere' film in which strange noises creep out the female. Paranoia soon takes over her and she realizes she can only trust herself. A nice film with decent acting, no frills but it feels authentic and rustic, so if you like a thriller/horror you could relate to, it's worth a watch.
