I thought i had the wrong show on for a minute.
29 October 2017
I have no idea why they did this, they could've built Jane's character without introducing four bad actors and making us sit through a thankfully short merry go round. None of those new characters were likable, The short story was very predictable it was very unlike the quality that stranger things tends to offer. It felt like i had accidentally turned on one of those bad marvel shows.

How on earth did this get such high praise?
15 October 2017
I watched this movie constantly repeating that question to myself, I can't believe i was fooled by a reviewer here that actually stated this was the best movie They'd seen all year. There are scenes that are so bad i couldn't tell if they've intentionally been put in there for comedic effect or they were intended to be serious. One such scene is when the main character Bradley (played by Vaughn) dives into a body of water only to re emerge seconds later bone dry. It was honestly like an amateur teenager had directed it and spent the entire budget on Vaughn's fee. By the end they couldn't even be bothered to use any special effects and opted to use crash test dummies. It takes more than shocking violence to make a movie, i've seen it being compared to a Tarantino flick but at least his movies have substance and great quotable dialogue. Fans of B-movies may enjoy but for me it was so bad it became comical.

Electric Dreams: The Hood Maker (2017)
Season 1, Episode 1
3/10
Dystopion dysfunctional K Dick.
18 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The first episode was a massive disappointment for me, It was the first time in a while i actually struggled to get to the end of a TV show. The story itself was bad enough but when you factor in the bad acting that is sometimes cringeworthy (not really helped by the ridiculous outfits they're made to wear) It becomes almost un-watchable. There is no indication to me that this show is set in the future other than the unconvincing words from the actors themselves, The whole set was cramped dingy rooms in which they'd replaced every bulb with a yellow one and then proceeded to film the whole thing with a dark brown filter, there you have it that's your convincing "Dystopian future". There's also a few moments that make little sense whatsoever, One in particular at the beginning during the riot. They were set upon by a mob of angry citizens fuming at the latest trend of mind reading taking this small city by storm. One local hoodied hoodlum unconvincingly throws a molotov cocktail that lands nowhere near them yet they still manage to pull off the dramatic dive to the ground before staring into eachothers eyes for a few painfully long seconds. But that's not the most senseless moment of all, No! that comes a minute later after the "agent" gives chase to the hoodies villain, hitting him with small leather bag that somehow leaves a bloodied mark on his face. After he comfortably subdues the villain someone greets him, who could it be? Oh it's the mind reading girl that whole mob of civilians were trying to get at, How on earth did she suddenly easily bypass this mob? were they left there still mobbing away doing their mob stuff before one confused mobber turned around to the rest to querie "hey, Where's she gone?". What on earth did i just watch?

The Sinner (2017–2021)

Cliffhanger season 1 available now.
7 September 2017
It's not a terrible show, but if you're going to watch it i recommend skipping to the last 5 minutes of every episode. The only advancements come in the form of cliffhangers, The rest is unnecessary filler in the shape of flashbacks and scenes designed to shock you into talking about the show. the whole thing so far could've been condensed into an hour or so.

Fargo: The Principle of Restricted Choice (2017)
Season 3, Episode 2
9/10
Okay then
5 May 2017
After the initial episode i found myself a little disappointed. None of the characters stood out for me as particularly interesting and i couldn't help but compare them to greats like Lorne Malvo, Hanzee Dent, Otto Gerhardt and Lester Nygaard. But that was a mistake on my part, jumping to a conclusion without letting the show expand in the slightest. Episode 2 and i was back to being hooked, As the characters develop i find myself more and more interested in them. The cinematography was as good as ever, Beautiful shots along with brilliant scores, decent acting and as ever great storytelling. All in all i have to say that from what i have seen thus far i have faith that this season of Fargo will continue tradition in being one of the best shows on our TV screens, I'm itching for the next episode.

American Gods: The Bone Orchard (2017)
Season 1, Episode 1
5/10
Bizarre doesn't always amount to intriguing.
1 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
It was OK at a push, The reason for me why it never got beyond OK is mostly due to the sheer amount of random unexplained events took away any sense of intrigue. It was essentially here's an hour of strange goings on discover what on earth they mean in the next 7 episodes. It hopped between sci fi, mystery and fantasy so quickly by the end of the episode i was frankly exhausted hoping for a premature ending. But not our main protagonist, Our well built husky voiced, generic chiselled man of a protagonist Shadow Moon. By the end big Shadow was taking it all in his stride, Talking to these beings like he'd frequented them all his life. The beings themselves weren't as strange as the fact he was seemingly unfazed with being accompanied by faceless men in some unknown void whilst talking to some futuristic hipster in the back of a limousine he never entered. Any sense of a dark atmosphere was removed by almost comical violence, The deadly flying limbs and exaggerated amounts of blood seemed more suited to an Asian martial arts parody movie. As for the characters none of them stuck out for me as particularly interesting. The leprechauns accent seemed to switch from Irish to American various times in a single sentence. The goddess who seemingly sucks up her seduced worshipers through her genitals felt completely out of place and had no link whatsoever to the rest of the episode. I imagine fans of superhero franchises would enjoy this kind of show at least that's the impression i get from the pilot, but personally for me there wasn't enough here to warrant any excitement.
