Southpaw (2015)
Couldn't finish
Sadly, I couldn't even finish this movie. This title personifies how clichéd Hollywood had become. This is NOT a sports movie in any sense of the word. One reviewer stated that the boxing scenes were "very well shot", I would challenge that writer to show me any knowledge of sports that they possess. The boxing scenes were less realistic than 'Rocky' which is saying a lot and the drama was so over-done, you're left feeling lost with the way they are written.
Jake does a nice job acting the scenes, the poor rating is not on him, but the film is just plain bad. If you're looking for a sports film, move on. If you're looking for a hyper-drama, this may work for you.
Good Kill (2014)
More Liberal Propaganda
One might think that since this film stars the like of Ethan Hawke, and January Jones, that it would be a high quality, well thought out movie...but one would be wrong. I find it very interesting that people from Hollywood, would have us believe that military men and women are just murdering, whoring, wife beating drunks, and they continue with this string of anti war, anti American B.S.
This is just garbage film and I feel less intelligent for having finished it. The writer/director (of course a Euro lib) should have actually done some research. Not just into how drone strikes are really carried out, but into military life itself. I always love foreigners who make movies about our armed forces, when they are completely clueless, just shows the lack of intelligence and ethics. This film is lazy, best way I can describe it. I could make the same flick, if I took the script for the Washington Post.
The acting is good, that's the only reason I gave it 3 stars; with the exception of Ms. Kravitz. She is a perfect example of how having a famous father does NOT make you an actor, she was just awful.
The movie is not worth the time, unless you're already a Lib who wants to fuel your Anti American thoughts. If that's who you are, you will enjoy this movie. I can't help but think however, that the makers of this film would maybe feel differently, if they had lost loved ones in the Sept 11th attacks (but he's not from here so...) or any other of the many attacks by the terrorists that have claimed the lives of American men, women, and children.
A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014)
Just an awful movie
I waited a long time for this movie to be available. The trailer; as usual, made me think that it would be a good quality, funny movie with substance. I mean, it does star Liam and Charlize...I was wrong, so wrong!! If you are a 15 yo with pubescent fantasies, and still laugh at your buddy trying to light his gas on fire, then you will likely enjoy this movie. However, if you're looking for a funny movie with a plot line, stay away. This movie is indicative of the latest generation of mindless, lazy drones that our society has created. I know, I being so serious over a movie, but really, grow up. Seth McFarland is useless as an entertainer and this movie proves it.
Eenie Meenie Miney Moe (2013)
What a nice surprise!!
This movie is proof positive that one doesn't need big name Hollywood stars to produce a fantastic story. It's also proof that over-direction and over-production can destroy a great movie....by not doing those things. It's so simple. The director just allows the actors/actresses to do what they do best, act.
A couple days ago, I finally watched Gravity; a huge Hollywood production with huge stars that took 100,000,000 to make, this movie puts it to shame. The story is fantastic, the stars were wonderful, and this movie won't disappoint. If you're considering this film, but not sure, do yourself a favor and spend the time.

Reviews biased
Take the link to see the reviews of other users who gave this film high marks and one gets the impression that they were involved in the film somehow, since it's the only movie listed in their profile.
Pamela Costa, from examiner.com called this and all star cast. That's true, if high school plays are included. This movie is a joke. It would seem that Chase Williamson must be related to the producer/director, since he couldn't get the lead in a play starring him, directed by him and produced by; you guessed it, him.
The action scenes are not action, but the camera work is passable, while not done well and the script is just plain bad. Chase looks stiff, like a deer in the headlights, and his voice over seems to have been done in one take and completely over-acted, as is most of the rest of the film.
Chase, watch a couple of boxing matches...or a couple of real movies before taking on a fight scene. Even my child knows how to make a fist, friend.
Don't wast your time on this "40s Noir Film" as one user put it. Watch grass grow instead. You'll be better off.
The Legend of Hercules (2014)
Pumped up teeny-bopper flick
So, normally I don't pay attention to user reviews too much, as I often enjoy movies that others don't. However, I must say that I should have stayed away from this flick...it's just unwatchable.
One is led to believe that the movie was shot entirely in a green room, and the effects are very noticeable. The action is poorly choreographed and the roles are completely contrived. It's amazing to me that a company that chooses to spend 70 mil making a movie still doesn't understand that there were no Norelco beard trimmers in those days, and that after a man has fought a battle his uniformed wouldn't be bleach clean; maybe some period research would be a good idea??
This movie was obviously made to appeal to the 12-16 YO female demographic. If you are a man, looking for an action movie and telling yourself that you want to watch in spite of the bad reviews, do yourself a favor and don't. It's time in your life you could spend eating worms, for more joy and entertainment.
The movie is bad 1/10 The script is bad 1/10 The cinematic aspect is, well...un-rateable. The acting is bad 1/10
I feel less intelligent for having watched what I did.
