Very Creative & Fun Movie that Should've Been Better
14 March 2020
Although it was a very creative story and a great performance by Sandler, I felt the movie seemed jumbled, rushed, and lacked genuineness. With a dramatic script closely tied to real life people and events, I didn't feel a sense of compelling. authentic emotion from the cast. With these flaws, I didn't become emotionally-invested in the story, nor have I spent time reflecting back on it. Perhaps, these flaws could have been quelled either with a more tightly-edited production to "remove the fluff and non-essential characters," OR through a multi-part series with time to develop deeper, more authentic characters and remove any confusion in the production, thereby establishing rapport with the viewer extending beyond the final scene.

Talented Cast & Very Interesting Plot, But Poor Execution
24 February 2020
We have very interesting plot premise mixed with lots of acting talent. But, the end-product was poorly executed and leaves the viewer confused and disappointed. Nonetheless, once you start watching you will be drawn in and want to find out what happens. Unfortunately, the "how" and the "why" could've and should've been handled with greater care amd and ingenuity. I feel like this story would have had a clearer and more effective outcome if the story had been "fleshed out" deeper into a miniseries.

Remarkably profound topic that is horrific and shocking to all of humanity.
20 January 2020
Completely shocking for me. Such a profound topic that has been so muddled by the Chinese govt. IMO, to ever compare an undertaking to the Holocaust, it better be spot-on in devastation and horror. 38 million babies were killed because of the one child policy and the Chinese Govt is proud of it! Unreal. Will shake you to your core.

A Truly Unique and Mindblowing Documentary
12 December 2019
This story is incredibly fascinating, in the deepest, darkest and saddest of ways. Even if you know the facts and outcome of this case from the media, it is still remarkable to listen to the horrifying accounts of the events from all those involved. Excellent documentary from HBO.

Great Doc... Wished for More "Science"
15 November 2019
Interesting documentary on a fascinating tale regarding a woman's business that was just that... a tale... a lie. I definitely enjoyed the film, which piqued my interest as I have had more than 30+ blood transfusions at age 37. A great film for all to watch. Nonetheless, I hoped for a more science-heavy production (discussing WHY exactly the product would've changed the medical world AND discussing more of the WHY it didn't take foot...and how close, if at all, were they to succeeding with their "invention"), but it comes across more as a dramatized story (with a detailed timeline of facts regarding Elizabeth Holmes and the entire cast of characters, the Theranos company, and their hard fall from grace) that invites the viewer to form their own opinion about "The Inventor" and her way of doing things at her onetime multi-billion dollar company.

So smart! Wanted even more Zach!
22 September 2019
Hilarious! Wish there were even more interviews and outtakes! Zachy G was terrific in this mockumentary. I haven't seen the internet clips from Between Two Ferns, but this movie definitely makes me want to look them up STAT! If you're a fan of Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell, Wedding Crashers, Step Brothers, any of the Hangover movies, etc., you will enjoy this movie!

Phenomenal Documentary about the Legendary Woodstock
28 August 2019
Excellent documentary about the planning, prep, execution, and performances at Woodstock! Fantastic directing and editing of the film, which included a lot of incredible high-quality footage from 1969, plus, several terrific recent audio interviews from those who were related to the festival in some fashion. Highly recommended!

Terrific movie, based on a true-story, about Fmr US Supreme Court Justice, Civil Rights Champion and National Hero, Thurgood Marshall! Great directing and presentation even though the outcome was quite predictable. Recommended to all!

Bale Should've Won the Best Actor Oscar
12 August 2019
An incredible performance by Christian Bale! Wow - most actors have to get buff for their roles, but Bale had to lose weight... A LOT! An awesome, dark, intense story. Almost a 10 star, IMO!

Awesome story, but wish it was a Miniseries to Draw it out more
28 July 2019
Phenomenal story! Would've been best in a mini series type format, as it was a lot of material delivered in 2hrs, but, nonetheless, I really enjoyed this film.
